The pigeon nest was a bit difficult to find. Limited dinner menu, but it was freshly made and good. Extra pillow would have been nice.

Colourful basic room, good bed, powerful and hot shower (that you need after day of hiking). Staff very eager to support, help, accommodate. Cozy shared sitting corner. Nice views and not in the noisy center.

Wow! Beautiful location close to Nuwaraeliya town facing to mountains. Nice place to see the stars at night and see the sun rising through the mountains from your Bed itself. Helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms with all facilities.

Very nice and comfortable stay. Our bed was huge and good, we slept like baby’s. The common room also has nice facilities. Akram and his father are really nice hosts (and native English speakers). They value good facilities, good staff and service and are ambitious within tourism. Akram also guided us to the waterfalls and tea factories.

Rooms were beautiful, really beautiful. The shower was hot and had great pressure. The host spoke excellent English and was able to book us on several trips around Nuwara Eliya with a knowledgable English speaking driver.

As it was cold and raining a lot during our stay, the rooms were cold and the bed was very moisty. Tip for the owners: make sure you heat up the common area more/ better

It’s a 10 min walk into town

The staff here are so kind and helpful, Akram helped me to plan a trek which was so good, and they even packed my breakfast to take with me. The place has everything you need, kitchen, food, hot water shower, fire.

The mosque can be quite noisy in the mornings. It really helped to close the gap under the door to the balcony.

The room is very clean. Waking up in the morning with a view as that is just extraordinary. You can stay at the place with for people and still everybody will have enough space. The bathroom facilities are modern and really clean. For breakfast you can choose between Sri Lankan and western breakfast. Both are really good and a lot. The staff are really friendly and helpful, even helped us to find a doctor and organized medicine. You can reach the city Centre and most sights in less than a 15 minute walk. Tuk Tuks are also easily available.

This accommodation is highly recommended! It has definitely been the best place we have stayed so far. You are greeted very warmly - already at the Nanoya station and especially at the hotel itself. We have never experienced such great service before and felt such genuine warmth and kindness. And we have traveled a lot! There are also a lot of suggestions for experiences and tours around the city. We went on a tuktuk tour around the area, where we saw tea plantations and waterfalls. So beautiful and so much fun!!! Highly, highly recommended! Furthermore, the hotel is really nice. It is beautifully located with a great view over the city and the area, and the rooms are spacious and luxurious. We regret not staying one more day. Thank you for the world's best accommodation and experience. And thank you for welcoming us so warmly.

This was the most amazing room we had in Sri Lanka so far! The view from the floor to ceiling windows isn't unbelievable and the bed is super comfortable! Everything was very clean and in good condition. The staff is extremely nice and helpful with booking tours and activities around Nuwara Eliya. I highly recommend this place.

Nuwara Eliya is a quiet city which is good to relax and enjoy the amazing environment. Pigeons nest really helped with that. It gave us Ardennes vibes and we drunk hot coco to complete it. Apart from that, the family that owns the place and Nuwan who supports them were super friendly and wanted to do everything to make your visit worth it.

Pigeons nest is not one to miss out on. The staff here are incredible, so accommodating and helpful with recommendations for what to do in the area. When we arrived we were offered a room upgrade for a small difference and so glad we were! The rooms with the view & balcony are beautiful. Beds are very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. The hotel also organised us a guide and we had the most amazing day, we wouldn’t have had the experience we had without him. Thank you we will be back.

Nice room and comfortable bed with clean sheets. The shower was good. The location was great, only a short walk to the city centre. The host was very nice. He even washed my trousers for free when they got filthy.

All of the people we met at the Pigeon’s nest were awesome. Prince, Akram and Nuan have a hearth of gold and were so helpfull. They planned a day with us to the waterfalls and the bluefield tea factory. The last day we had a hike to the highest point. We also met two dutch sisters and spent a nice time together at this house, were we felt at home.
