You have to climb a steep stair to get to the property, which we thought was a cool experience, but if you have difficulties walking perhaps it’s not the best place

A view like no other from the balcony of your room. The owners can arrange everything you need (for example laundry service) and mom makes the best cinnamon tea in town!

The owner arranged a cheap tuk tuk transport when we reached to guesthouse from station.

The view of our rooms were amazing. Rooms were very clean and very cute designs. The staff sampa and his parents were very helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast we enjoyed more pancakes. We will come back again sri lanka and stay ella in pearl view.

Sometimes hot water wasn't reliable, and because of its great location it's a fair walk from town, about 30 minutes, steep & uphill. There are stairs to cut the journey from the bottom all the way up.

Private, great views, large rooms with big comfortable beds. Sunset and sunrise look great from up here and it's easy to walk around the hill to get more views. The family are very helpful and very lovely, the son spoke the best English so we chatted with him the most.

The wifi didnt really work and no hot water. Also, not a downside because of the great view, but keep in mind that the place is about a 30 min walk from downtown Ella, in the hills.

The view is absolutely amazing. Put your alarm clock at 6am for the sunrise, you wont regret it ! The family that runs the establishment was lovely ! Great breakfast and good service for our needs. We loved our stay !

very individual approach to guests. we have arrived late and a really tasty home made dinner was cooked especially for us. Our host helped us with getting tuktuk and gave advise for the places to visit . lovely people 💙

We only had one UK plug, and no adapter - so bring an adapter if you have one!

We had amazing views from our room, the family who own the guesthouse were so kind and helpful. Our stay was super comfortable and we really enjoying the home made food.

Great location, peaceful surrounding and beautiful view to Ella Rock. It was easy to walk to the centre and hiking trails are in the walking distance. Breakfast was delicious: Omelette, fresh fruits, coffee, tea and roti. Owners were very kind and helpful. Room was clean and cozy.

This guesthouse is undergoing renovations. Keep that in mind if you come in the near future. After they finish the renovations, I'm sure everything will be in excellent shape.

Loved the hospitality and kindness. Rooms were nice and clean and spacious. Food was delicious. Owner and his parents were very helpful and accommodating. We asked them to deliver our dinner that we ordered from a nearby restaurant and they did that for us and also gave us plates and glasses and napkins. We asked them for tea late at night and they brought it up to us. They had a nice breakfast table set up in the morning with delicious food. Would highly recommend the place for a family or couple looking for a big room with wonderful service.

Pearl View was hard to find, poorly signed and the road leading up (from both directions) was something of an adventure both in regards of steepness and condition of the road especially with the poor signage making it something of a magical mystery tour. Ordered dinner at the property, for which they called for a take-away which took 2hrs to arrive by which time I'd given up!

Lovely location and the lads running the place were enthusiastic and determined to make the visit easy and enjoyable. Pearl View was out of town, therefore quiet and the views were spectacular.

It was really far from anything. Not great option for us,as mum can't walk far or on uneven terrain. So we struggled. Nearest restaurants are a fair challenge away, many many steep steps down , again this is for us. If you are sprightly and fine and like isolation you will love it. No free or "reasonable " shuttle into town. There and back costs 2-3000lkr... which adds up. Breakfast was meh... shower was not powerful at all so showering was almost as pleasant as a sponge wash at a festival. Blankets were not washed but aired ... not great!

Amazing views, quiet location. Great family , very helpful. Comfy beds.

View is incredible. Rooms are simple, clean and similar to the pictures. Breakfast was very good and personnel is nice. Good to know: the accommodation is located on top of a hill in Ella and even with tuktuk you have to walk at least the last part of the way. Best option is to walk (~15-20min) till the city Centre when using the stairs. Reasonable fitness level advisable since the ~200 stairs are uneven and differ in height.

The location elevated up so high from the road could be difficult in wet weather. Fortunately when we hired a scooter we only need to go along the dirt road once and left it at the bottom of the steps up which is quicker.

The view was incredible. We had the top floor. A 5 minute walk from the road is steep but we enjoyed it but if it was raining would have been different. To get in by road is a lot longer and tricky for cars

Lovely family, great stay up in the hills above Ella. A very Sri Lankan home stay that gives you everything you'd expect and lovely views.

I have got a completely different room than the one on the pictures and it was not really nice. Probably because I only stayed for a night.

Nice location, a bit far away from the city. Staff is kind.
