We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room and bathroom were super clean with a very comfy bed. The host was also so lovely, he always made sure we had everything we needed and made us a nice breakfast in the morning.

GermanyThis is a very good place to stay in Mirissa. The location is perfect, close to everything, but just far enough from the busy main road and all the noise. I really enjoyed the peace and quiet. My room and bathroom were very spacious, clean, with a lot of light and everything you could possibly need. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to make me feel like at home.

This place is new and everything in the property looks pristine! It is exactly as pictured in the photos. Loved it so much we extended our stay! 1. There is consistent hot shower water and cold AC, there is also a proper table, chair and fast wifi for doing work in the room. 2. Plenty of comfortable amenities including a fridge and freezer, gas stove, washing machine and even a large clothes rack to dry things in the living room. Has everything you need 3. The location is off the main road so you don’t get the terrible road noise, but still super near 3min walk to cargills supermarket and lots of cafes and restaurants too! The toilet also has a very nice light up vanity mirror for ladies. There is a power card that switches everything on and off so you don’t have to manually when you go in/out. In all, this place is a steal! It’s literally hotel quality but for a fraction of the price. Brand new and super value for money. We stayed in 4 other guesthouses within the same price range in Mirissa around this central area (all rated >9.0 on booking) and none of them came close. We met the owner who happened to be in the area and he was super nice. The staff Avishka is hardworking and kind, and makes very good breakfast too! He was always on time when we had to eat early before our tours and very responsive on whatsapp, helped with all sorts of things like showing us how to start our scooter etc. Sharing this abit grudgingly but don’t be afraid that it’s new, this was our best stay in sri lanka and 100% would stay again!
