The views from our room were stunning. You could even see the waterfall from the pool area. The rooms were nice and big with plenty of room for our family of 4. Being at the top of the mountain made for stunning views but made getting in and out of town difficult. If you don’t mind walking up and down the hill, I’d recommend this accommodation.

We stayed on the top floor in the Suite with Mountain View - the only thing that stopped this from being a perfect stay was the fact the walls are paper thin. You literally hear every single word from next door. Luckily we were on the end so had only one neighbour. The rooms on lower floors may be better insulated.... The hotel is down a short, steep road which our driver wasn't keen on trying - the hotel sent a free tuk tuk up to us to transport ourselves and the bags to the hotel. When we took the tuk tuk back up on leaving, the driver demanded to be paid. The hotel owner may not have been aware of this but just confirm with staff before you leave. There is a parking lot attached to the hotel and people with smaller cars didn't have a problem getting there.

The views from this place are out of this world - so amazing to just sit there and take in the Ella Gap between the two mountains and on the side a bonus waterfall. We watched as the mist rolled in during the afternoon - was magical. Rooms are big and comfortable (we even had a bath tub), air con works well. Balcony is huge with bean bags for sitting in . And there is a fridge. One of the reasons we picked this place was it was close to the train tracks which makes it easy to walk to the start of the Ella Rock hike and get into town (and yes everyone walks ON the train tracks - make sure you're listening for the whistle so you get off!) Other than the view, the best bit was the pool - jumping in there after the sweaty hike up to Ella Rock was SO good. Sitting in the pool looking up at the mountain we had just climbed was one of the highlights of the trip. I had one of the best meals of Sri Lanka in the restaurant - was incredible. Only a short walk along the tracks to the chaos that is Ella town and there is a street full of restaurants and shops. Chill Cafe is a good option - they supported the unemployed drivers during COVID.

The only negative I will say unfortunately the room we were in were literally paper thin, the room next to us had the bed same side as ours and we could literally hear every word we felt like we were in the same room as them, they were snoring really loud which is fine but it kept us up during the night, we felt bad knocking on the wall for them to be quiet but we just couldn’t sleep through it.

The staff were so lovely and attentive They ordered Tuk tuks for us. They arrange our laundry and ironing for us. They helped us with our luggage. Always lovely to speak to. Thank you for making it such a lovely experience for us!

Location was good, but difficult to get to as the road was too narrow and steep for a normal car. Access to the room was via an outdoor staircase with slightly uneven wooden steps

The view alone is worth it - one of the spectacular settings I've ever seen! Facilities are fine - nice pool again with same view. Slightly up the hill from town, which is a good thing away from the buzz of Ella. Short walk down railway tracks into town (can be steep on the return though...)

For the price it was excellent value. Would have liked better towels, both bath towels and pool towels. Also we didn’t know that the room doesn’t get serviced unless you leave your key and ask specifically .

The rooms were abit dated and abit randomly furnished. The curtains dont keep out any sunlight so it gets very light in the room as soon as the sunrises! The staff as lovely as they are can be abit persistent when it comes ro breakfast….. we explained we had a cooking class and a brunch booked but they still rang the phone in the room and knocked the door asking where we was which was abit much!

THE VIEW!!!!!! Amazing views from our balcony and the pool, this was the main highlight of the stay! They are amazing! 🤩

Stairs, stairs. Booked room on ground floor was 2 double beds. Checked and confirmed by email. Arrived tried to give us room upstairs. Eventually given ground floor room but 1 double and 1 single only. No fridge in room. Provided after complained.

There was only one thing that we didn't like and that was the road was very narrow at the entrance if you can make the entrance wider it whould relive some strees for the customers only if your going on a car or van or big vehicle

I loved the food and the staff they were very nice especially the manager he was wonderful he really loves his job. The view was quite good and overall the best view I'd have seen in any hotel

Nothing really - we had everything we needed.

The view was exceptional and we had a pool which my daughters used - rooms were large with a shower and toilet and large beds (bed needed changing for sure as noisy in our room!) but overall a good stay and friendly people. Rooms could do with refreshing if I were being picky but it served the purpose for the price and that is what I would have expected - but refreshing it a little more would make for a better stay and experience for such a lovely location - however, the stay was nice and I am glad I picked the hotel. Enjoyed our stay it was central too and you could reach Ella main area easily.

We had 4 rooms and the pricing structure does not correlate with the benefits of each room and their views. No room or reception safe WiFi in most of the rooms was very slow to non-existent. And as it rains alot in Ella it is major problem. No hand towels or bathmats are provided Towels were old and stained No clothes hangers or a maximum of 3. Avoid all rooms ending in 1 as the view is of the staircase All rooms on the top floor (room numbers beginning with 4) have paper thin walls. Worse room of the 4 rooms was 201 due to noise of the restaurant below and a pile of old furniture beside the veranda. And it was the most expensive of our 4 rooms

The views are amazing. Probably the best you will get in Ella The staff were very friendly and helpful. They went out of they way to try and accommodate any requests, always with a smile. The pool is great

Soundproofing between rooms 401/402 is non-existent, we could hear every word and zip from our neighbour. Rooms on levels 3 and 4 could do with refurbishing.

The staff were super and very friendly. The location and views are spectacular. restaurant/food great though there's no view from the restaurant.

Being a little fussy here, but would also have loved the Sri Lankan breakfast option every morning instead of every second day. The English breakfast was offered every morning and though nice, white toast and eggs has its limitations.

Location is amazing. Close to Ella but feels a long way away at the same time. Very helpful and interesting women at reception and the young service staff are all amazing as well as in for a chat.
