We modified our booking dates on booking.com about a month prior to arriving and it meant that they double booked our last night. The owner arranged for us to stay in another motel for the final night which was not as nice as this room (even though it was more expensive for the owner). I wouldn’t let this deter you from booking this place however if you change your dates make sure to send a message and confirm with the owner.

A beautiful new place in Ella tucked away from the Main Street. We were welcomed by the lovely owner of this accomodation. It was a very relaxing stay here. The room was beautiful with views of Ella Rock. The bed was comfortable and the wifi and hot shower worked well. It is very close to the train station. Also walking distance to restaurants, ATM and bus station. We also were able to walk to the 9 arches bridge, Ella rock and little Adam peak from here. The breakfast was great! They also own a day spa and offered 50% off for guests. We were able to pay for the room with eftpos which was great.

Great apartman with the best view to Colombo, to the Lotus Tower, and to the Sea (from the infinity pool) in the one of the iconic high tower buildings in Colombo.. The service, the breakfast, the lobby, the room, the value for your money-all excellent.

The accommodation was just perfect! The room was super cozy and spotlessly clean. There was always hot water, which was great after a long day. The location is ideal – just a 5-minute walk to the city center. The host was incredibly friendly and very helpful, making us feel truly welcome. Absolutely recommended!

Wonderful location and views, really peaceful and away from the main road but close enough to be able to access everything. Our host was amazing, accommodation is above a spa and they offered discounted treatments which were great. Host also took us in tuk tuk to local spots. Really wonderful breakfast overlooking incredible views of the valley. Highly recommend

The staff were so friendly and kind. We needed to check out at 2.30am to go on safari so they prepared a fresh breakfast to take out. The location is ideal for Ella being close to the main town and train station. the view from our room was epic too. our room was clean and spacious and everything we needed.

Nothing to dislike!

I had a fantastic three-day stay at the Refresh Spa Inn! Jeewantha and Chamara were so kind and helpful, especially when I had to leave at 6am as they prepared a packed breakfast for me and even dropped me at the train station with their tuk tuk! As a guest, I took advantage of the 50% discount on their in-house treatment and had a full body massage by Vigneshwari which was amazing! I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Ella!

We bathroom looked like it was still under Construction. It could have been a bit cleaner and it definitely needs some finishing touches to fit de rest of the room.

The location was perfect. You can walk to the city center in just the feel minute you have a Great View from the room. It was spacious and clean. The team was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with eggs, pancakes and fresh fruit. They also have a spa where guests get fifty percent discount.

Bed was to short.

Personnel was very helpful, they took us on a trip to Nine Arch Bridge and found for us transport for another destination. The breakfast was very delicious, and room was clean, and looked pretty.

The toilet without window and poor ventilation, though it is clean, some moldy smell came out after idle time. But it is okay to close the toilet door all the time after use

Clean and comfy bed. The view of the room is stunning. Only quiet after 11-12 midnight as the bar is next door closed at that time. Only need to walk 6-7 minutes to the city centre and many restaurants to choose from. Provided big breakfast from fruits, egg, toast (butter and jam). All guests could enjoy a 50% discount on the massage (usd $80 to $40 for 2 hours), nice to have one.

Everything was perfect

What a great accomodation - new and modern, very clean and a wonderful view at Ella Rock. I took a lot time for breakfast because it was so nice sitting there and enjoying the view and listen to all the birds. It is very close to the railway station and quiet - compared to Ellas centre.

There are animals walking on the roof so maybe you can’t sleep 100% well because of that. But if you come to Sri Lanka you can’t complain about insects and animals because that’s part of the journey!😂

The location is very central but still quiet. The staff was very kind and the room was clean. I would totally recommend to book your stay here if you’re coming to Ella!

Internet connection wasn’t the strongest in the room but worked and water pressure of the shower.

There was no AC, but it was ok for the weather, so no big deal

I’ve stayed here only one night, but it was a really nice experience - would definitely come back. The owner Tharandu is really helpful and friendly. The room was clean and fresh, with hot water and big shower. Breakfast is fulfilling and honestly even over the top! Also it’s quite close to the center, but far enough to hear noises. Ella station is 5 minutes away - everything is near, and if you need to go somewhere- Tharandu will help you with that also:) There is also a lovely spa with steam bed and Ayurvedic massage - I enjoyed it so much!

Where do I even begin? Refresh Inn is a fantastic new addition to Ella, offering exceptional value for money. Tarindu, the owner and host, has created a truly remarkable space with beautifully crafted wooden rooms, designed with an eye for detail. The rooms are spotless, well-maintained, and boast stunning views right from the bed thanks to the large windows—a sight that makes waking up an absolute pleasure. Sustainability is clearly a priority here, with solar energy used for hot water, which is inspiring to see in this region. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even carrying our luggage up to the top-floor rooms without us having to ask—a thoughtful gesture considering the stairs. The breakfast was abundant and delicious, featuring fresh fruits, toast, tea, coffee, pancakes, and more—a great way to start the day. They also offer high-quality Ayurveda treatments at very reasonable prices, with exclusive discounts for guests, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Tarindu himself is a wealth of knowledge about Ella and the surrounding areas. He provided us with excellent recommendations for activities and even organized transport at competitive rates. His honesty and dedication to making guests feel welcome truly stood out. The location is ideal—just a 5-minute walk from Ella’s bustling center and bus / train station, yet tucked away in a peaceful area. It was the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility. We wished we could have extended our stay, but the place was fully booked (no surprise there). Without a doubt, Refresh Inn is one of the best accommodations in Ella, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

It was quiet and off the busy tourist trail and had a beautiful view. The staff were ready to take me into town right away when I asked, so helpful. The attached spa is such a nice addition, had a great massage when I arrived.

However, the water pressure was a big issue during our stay. We had to wait about 25 minutes to get a shower because the motor was turned off, and even then, the water flow was very slow. The heater also didn’t work properly, so the water was only warm enough to wipe our face — not enough for a proper bath. With better water facilities, this place could be much more enjoyable

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to Ella town, which was very convenient. The host was kind and welcoming.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff was really friendly and we had an amazing view from our room. Downstairs is a spa you can use with a huge discount for guests of the refresh inn. However the room was really dirty and even after asking the staff, they didn’t clean our room.
