Everything, I loved this hotel, it's worth every penny. The staff were so friendly, and actually very supportive. They helped me pack breakfast for the safari and it's so delicious (but the breakfast we had there in the morning was on a far next level). They put heart in what they do, i.e the pleasant scent in our room, the mosquitoes sticks on the balcony, the little light/candles along the way,... so many other things I like. We made a good choice booking a safari tour with the hotel, their tour guide, China (yes his name is China) has been doing his job for 20 years so he knew the best about the safari. We were able to see the majestic leopard thanks to China 🥰

You should take the apartment near the pool, because the apartment in the garden is in the separate area.

Very warm welcome . Took the time to show us around the hotel garden and showed us the local wildlife. We stayed in a bird watching room and loved sitting in the very comfy chairs watching the local birds and wildlife.of which we saw a great variety birds , lizards , mongoose and a turtle. They gave us towels when we went to the pool and served a lovely breakfast and lunch. They helped arrange our safari and our transfers. Would recommend staying here.

Fantastic accommodation run by a local family. Staff are friendly, the property is super clean and comfortable. We stayed in the cabanas in front of the pool and would recommend it. Also they have organised our safari in Yala and we were very pleased with the experience - if you do a morning safari they will prepare a basket with breakfast for you. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice garden with many birds. Beautiful surrounding, which you can explore with free bycicles. Great place for safari in Yala National Park and relaxing at the pool. Very nice hosts.

Some rooms are separated by a road from the restaurant and other facilities which makes you feel a little isolated. The rooms aren't as nice as I expected them to be for the price but they are still clean and well looked after.

The staff were so lovely, incredibly helpful and cooked great tasting food. The pool facilities were really nice to relax at during the day

Blissful paradise in Yala. The rooms were amazing, the facilities were amazing and probably the best breakfast options we have had in our 5 weeks in Sri Lanka. They also organised the safari for us which was great. Highly recommended and we wish we could have stayed longer.

Everything was perfect!

Everything about the property was perfect. The management team were excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. They arranged a safari for us which was amazing. The food was cooked by the manager who requests the orders in by 6pm understandably so that he personally has time to cook for all guests and the food is delicious especially the breakfast. The WiFi was good both in the room and the grounds. The room was exceptionally clean and we had a beautiful view over the river outside the door. Great shower. There was one exceptionally rude guest who swore at the manager and was rude to the manager undeservedly. The manager was respectful at all times and did not deserve this.

Beautiful stay, the cabanas by the river are so peaceful and perfect for birdwatching! Everything was perfect, we also went on a great safari organised by the Cabana’s, our driver Maali was wonderful and so knowledgeable about the park. The pool was perfect for cooling off in, and the space was to tropical and lush. We also made use of the free bikes for a cycle around the city which was lovely ☺️

I don't have a single bad thing to say about this place! I wish we'd booked more nights. If you can, get a cabana by the pool for ultimate relaxation vibes. It's clear the owners take pride in their establishment-- it's evident in all the details from the meticulously kept grounds to the beautifully plated food. Breakfast was YUM and the staff were so kind. We booked a full day safari through this place too and the drivers they work with are superb. Shawn (Sean?) was our driver and he went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy during the safari. What a day. Highly recommend staying here!

The aircon worked but was a little temperamental. The shower was okay but nothing that I didnt expect being in the middle of a jungle.

The room is beautiful, swimming pool and area around was great, the whole complex is beautifully maintained. They organised a full day private safari for us which was excellent value for money. Included breakfast, lunch, snacks and cool drinks all provided by the hotel. This was an amazing experience! The breakfast was the best I had in Sri Lanka. So many options and everything delicious. Make sure you try the porridge. The evening meals were also delicious and were very filling. The staff here were the best though. So friendly and kind and no request is too much. The owner works incredibly hard and is up every morning to sort out the food for the safaris and make sure that you meet with your driver. He then makes breakfast and evening meals and is also present during the day. I wonder when he sleeps! His father also works in the hotel and was also such a kind man and showed us many animals/birds in the river nearby. All in all one of my favourite places I have stayed in the world.

Once we understood that iit was on 2 sites it was fine! I hadn't understood this beforehand Rooms slightly basic. We had a villa for extra space but the smaller birdwatching rooms overlooking the river would be fun

There were no disadvantages, all was great.

The cabanas are cozy and comfortable. Very lovely vibes, surrounded by nature. Pool area is stylish and has nice views around.

The rooms need an upgrade. No warm water in the shower and in general very old and used. If they upgraded the rooms, the entire stay would have been rated excellent.

Pool area was excellent. Very unique and quiet. We loved the pool area. Welcome smoothie was great and in general great food from their own kitchen. We both got breakfast, lunch and dinner there, which very good. Service minded staff and owner.

My favourite place we stayed in the whole of our 3 week trip to Sri Lanka. We stayed in the bird watching room and had an amazing evening watching the Hornbills. We arranged a safari through the owner and had the most incredible day, they even packed us a delicious box of snacks and lunch! Pool area is beautiful and really clean.

This place really does tick all the boxes we absolutely loved it here. The food was the best we had. The room was spotless and the view over the stream was so nice watching the birds. We had the best time - should have stayed longer than just one night. The garden and the pool were so nice the food was outstanding. The lovely owner told us that they are growing their own vegetables in an ecological way.

I loved that they organised all the safaris for us, they have their own safari drivers so it all went smoothly. You can book the safaris a day in advance. Really nice facilities too, clean and amazing decor!

Wished to stay longer

What an oasis of peace. Beautiful clean environment.. With a gem of a pool surrounded by trees, plants peacock... Very kind owner/chef. Superb breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended.

Everything was great!

We loved our stay and highly recommend it! The place is brand new and beautifully decorated. The pool is a delight and the location is in the middle of nature, which makes it perfect for relaxing! The family who own the place are amazing and super attentive. We were treated very well! The food is delicious! It was one of the best dinners we've ever had at Sri Lanka.

Be sure to order dinner before 6pm as the staff is small and they need time to arrange. That being said the food is well worth it!
