The only thing that bothered me was the smell, it was like a musty smell. It really was quite bad. I dont know if it was just my room or all! No fridge in room and had to pay cash.

This is a great little guest house! Amazing views and a very comfortable bed. I slept very well! It was an easy 10 minute walk to the main road in Ella, and took me 25 minutes to walk to 9 Arches Bridge! But walking back to Ella train station took me 50 mins as I casually wandered back along the tracks! Lovely breakfast! Shower was acceptable, eventually the hotel water came through! Great location, easy enough to walk to places especially the main road! And visit Chill Cafe- wonderful food and drinks! Amazing breakfast, they were very accommodating when I asked for egg hoppers!

Lovely views once the rain cleared. Really nice and big breakfast. Location was nestled away to be secluded but then only a 10 minute walk to Ella town or 10 minute walk to start of Nine arch bridge or little Adams Peak.

We really enjoyed everything at Ridge View Hotel - the owner/manager was lovely and helpful with booking tuk tuks and giving us advice on walking trails to see everything. Absolutely loved this stay. Ella beautifully situated which makes it a hot spot for tourists. Although the town offers various places to eat, drink and shop at times its busyness is not enjoyable. Where the Ridge View Guest House is situated is in the perfect location from town and being surrounded by the nature. The views waking up where the best me and my father have ever stayed. Overlooking Ella’s rock, in easy walking distance of little Adam’s peak and nine arch bridges (walk through the jungle to get there). The rooms were spacious and clean, everything you need to find a bit more peace in the hills. Breakfast was huge and really set you up for the day for any hiking. Each day we got to try a different Sri Lankan breakfast which was so yum! The owners and his family were very helpful in assisting us to our next destination. If I had longer on this trip would have stayed here longer just for the view.

This is a lovely little guest house to stay in. We paid for the deluxe room which was well worth it for the view. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you, food was great. Location is in between Ella town and attractions such as Adam’s Peak and the 9 arche bridge

The room did not have the facilities as listed, no hair dryer, no safety deposit box, no tea or coffee facilities. No shower gels etc. Which was a shame considering the price.

View of Ella rock was just incredible! Breath taking. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful again with the amazing view! A staff member even dropped us to the train station in the morning, with no charge.

Nice view on Ella Rock and very good location. You can walk into the city centre. The room was good but the bathroom smelled bad and was constantly wet. Friendly and well-reachable host.

This has to be the best homestay in Ella! The breathtaking views from the balcony are already worth a 10 star rating alone! We stayed in the deluxe room which seemed newly furnished and had everything we needed. We loved that they had a table and chairs for eating on the balcony as well as the comfiest beanbags for chilling with a view! We are both Vegan and the hosts happily made some nice options for breakfast for us no problem! There is a mini fridge in the room perfect for keeping some drinks and snacks cool as well as tea and coffee making stuff! The hosts are very friendly amd we're always happy to answer all of our many questions ;) They have a laundry service on site and can arrange a tuk tuk and other services easily. We loved our "cabin in the clouds" and would reccomend!!

The roads to Ella town has little or no light at night, but it was okay for us to walk it at night. They did our laundry, unfortunately some of the t-shirts smelled of smoke afterwards. But it's hard to say where it came from, as small fires were lit in the area from time to time.

Ridge View Guest House is a beautiful accommodation in Ella. It is just a 10 min walk away from Ella town, ~20 min to Nine arches bridge and ~30min to little Adam’s Peak. The room we stayed was nice and clean, there was a ventilator and the beds had mosquito nets. The bathroom was clean as well. We even had some dishes in the room. The view from the terrace is beautiful, we enjoyed sitting there. The Sri Lankan breakfast was really good, we had fresh fruits, eggs and sri Lankan pancakes every morning. They always prepared breakfast at the time we wanted it. Everyone there was really friendly and helpful. Our ventilator broke down and they replaced it straight away. They also organized a driver for us to get to Mirissa. They also offer a laundry service and the price is okay.

The owner was really nice and helpful. Nothing was too much. The room was comfortable and had amazing views. Easy walk into Ella centre, Little Adams Peak and the Nine Arches Bridge. Location was excellent.

The whole area the the hotel is located is in development. They are building several new hotels. So you will also see some construction aside of the hills panorama.

The room was comfortable then expected. And they served an amazing breakfast at morning! At the end of our stay, they also arranged for us a taxi from Ella to Trincomalle at a very good price.

The View is amazing. The stuff was friendly, helpful and they did the laundry service for me. The bed is really comfortable, bathroom clean. We had a little fridge in the room, cups, kettle and tea. Breakfast was everyday amazing and different food. Thank you !
