we arrived after dark so didn’t get to enjoy the view until the following morning ! The chalet style cabin was great , enough space , clean and comfortable. Host was charming and helpful . Although the cabin was close to the road ( there is a road small between the property and the beach ) it was not at all noisy as little traffic . the gardens of the property are beautifully kept and it was clear that it was importantly to the hose that his guests are content . the beach across the road is lovely but ( and this is our only negative point, and not the hosts fault at all !) there is a fair amount of litter in this stretch of coastline . We followed the road to its end at the point where there is a small wooded area and a great vista to see the sea in one side meeting the lagoon river . You can see the lighthouse as well . In the evening / nighttime you can watch the fisherman standing in the water casting their nets by light in the lagoon to catch prawn and fish .

Happy with the accommodation, it matched desceiption and price was good. Only thing was the bed had a small blanket that didn't cover you very well. Otherwise everything was great!

Was a last minute book but the owner was very helpful and friendly. We arrived late as our Tuk Tuk journey was delayed along the way but he waited for us to arrive and recommended a good restaurant up the road to eat! Room was clean & our stay was a good one! The owner even offered parking under cover as it was raining!

The bathroom was a little mouldy because of a leak.

We had a lovely time at the Sea View Resort. The room is comfortable with a big bed, great Ac and a fridge. There are no musquito nets, but theres netting in the windows which works perfectly. The location is in a pleasant and quiet area of the city. The beach is just across the street and was great for swimming: sandy, warm and calm. Dont expect sunbeds or bars though: theres absolutely nothing there but some fishing boats. We rented bicycles from the owner and that got us everywhere fast: cycling is a great way to move through Batticaloa. The owner is a great host. His english is good, he is helpfull but not "in your face" like some (well intending) Sri Lankan hosts can be. We got some nice drinks (for free) and a breakfast can be arranged for a very reasonable price. Sea View Resort was the perfect place for us to relax and explore Batticaloa.

The place is really cosy and nice and so close to the beach. The host is very caring and made us feel welcome. We really wished we could have stayed longer than one night.

The local roosters were very noisy from very early in the morning and we could hear them very loudly from room. We had to use headphones to block out the noise. If you’re sensitive to noise, it’s worth being aware of.

The resort is lovely, just next to the ocean. The owner is very friendly and didn’t mind waiting for us to check in late.

Everything is simple, but you have everything you need. Especially the bathroom could be cleaner - those big spider nets in the corner of the ceiling should be removed frequently. Despite of that, all good.

You have sea view from the balcony. The owner is gentle and accessible, stays around, likes to talk, tried to satisfy everything you might need. Thinesh take me around in tuktuk wherever i needed, including the bus station early in the morning, and didn’t even charge. He also lend me a bike to go around and exercise. He even let me cook my dinner one night. I recommend and will come back.

The room was very clean and has aircon and a ceiling fan which was really great in the heat. Kallady beach is just across the road. Thinesh, our host, was very friendly and attentive. He looked after us very well hiring us 2 bikes to explore the area. The gardens surrounding the rooms are lovely and tropical. Thinesh waters them daily to keep them looking great.

Our host Thinesh Vj was very kind, gave us a warm welcome and made sure, we have everything we needed. The beach is just across the road. The water is warm and clean, the beach has white sand and was empty. We had it all to ourselves. There are no shops, restaurants or anything closeby. It's perfect for a day or two, to relax. To Batticalloa and the Lagoon it's a short Tuk Tuk ride.

We did not find things to complain or that was bothering

The breakfast was very good and tasty with plenty of different option, Western <Continental breakfast or very tasty Sri Lankan Spicy or no Spicy, Tea also ( not Tea bags ) and also good coffee. The owner was very polite and frendly and tried to help us from the bottom of his heart, we arrived a little late, so family offered us a good delisious dinner free of charge. They arranged us a scooter for rent, which was a good one and we enjoid our stay very much. Its a pitty to leave the hotel. They are trying to build up another top floor with a beautiful sea View, we hope that we can come back again to stay and enjoy our holidays. My wife liked it exceptionally that every thing went so smoothly and did not have to worry about anything.
