IsraelThe beach near the hotel is very dirty. It is actually a fisher boats place. It was interesting to see the activity in the morning but not so nice to lay there. Also the entrance and the surrounding of the hotel was very dirty with an awful smell.
The room was very spacious and the shower was really nice. Beds were very comfortable with a strong air conditioning. There is a great view to the beach and the breakfast is generous and good.

AustraliaAt first our rooms were not near as requested and one was not the family room as shown on booking.com that I had booked at the premium price. Only after threatening to change hotels were we given the correct family room and our second room was upgraded and located next too each other. I checked we were charged the original quoted price. Trincomalee beach is FILTHY with rubbish on the sand and in the water. Very disappointing for a fairly high priced location.
Quiet location, pleasant helpful staff. Dining area was so hot and sticky without AC so breakfast was delivered to our room as requested.

RomaniaIt was not clean, didn’t have any toiletries, just 2 towels, no changing, no cleaning the room every day, breakfast was poor and it was downstairs with no AC that smelled horrible and was very hot, when walking out the room it smelled like food and it was so hot, no elevator. The hotel is not at all maintaned, pity for the location and the nice staff. Also, the bed is old and uncomfortable and you hear everything outside, doors slaming, people talking, everything. There are lots of stray dogs just outside barking all night and a mosque nearby that wakes you up too early.
The location a few meters from the beach. The people working there were very nice, tried their best.

Georgia- Hotel does not accept credit cards, nor foreign currency. ATM machines have limits on how much cash can be withdrawn. Plan ahead. (I asked for hotel bill 3 days before departure so that I could go to ATM enough times to pay.)
I stayed at Seaside Resort for 14 nights while working in Trincomalee. The building needs some attention as the salt air climate has affected things like gaskets on doors (during a heavy rain my room flooded when water blew under the door from the balcony.) BUT...The staff was so engaging and met(exceeded) my every request that I felt like I was at home. The restaurant on the roof is nice - menu is not clear but just tell cook what you want. The kitchen put out an English breakfast that was huge in its portion size! The beach was awesome - 100 meters from the front door. I swam in morning before breakfast and in evening before sunset. Fabulous. It was not high season and the beach was clean and empty.

GermanyThe breakfasts were not well cooked and not tasty. The view from rooms up to the third floor is mostly of trees and nearby buildings. There is a construction site next to the hotel. The beach area near the hotel is unsuitable for swimming because it is a fishermen’s area. Room cleaning is only provided upon request (we had only one cleaning in two weeks). Unfortunately, my friend and I both saw cockroaches in our rooms. I received only one towel for the entire two weeks. During our stay at the hotel, which was under construction, the common area was dirty for 2-3 days.
The staff were very helpful. Everything in the room worked: hot water, shower, air conditioner.

DenmarkBad breakfast. No electricity. When we arrived one night there was a rat crawling into the side of the hotel. When we told the receptionist he said no it was not a rat. The next day the toilets didn’t work and we couldn’t flush. Furthermore there are no privacy on the balcony, but the pictures shows that well.

SpainThe bed sheets had many brown and yellowish stains, even though the mattress was comfortable, the sleeping experience was bad. The smell of the kitchen reached the hotel common spaces such as room corridors and stairs.
We mistaken the dates in booking for one night and they accepted our mistake and we were able to change them without any problem or charge. The bathroom was new and clean, big shower (the best of the room). WiFi, AC and fridge worked as expected. The breakfast was very nice, fruit, cofee, omelete and sausages, bread and jam.

DenmarkAll the staff was very friendly, welcoming, super helpful and accommodating. I had my birthday during the stay. In the late afternoon the staff called and asked me to come to the rooftop restaurant. As I opened the door, everyone started to sing “Happy Birthday” and they have arranged a birthday cake with my name. I was so surprised and touched. I loved the view of the sea and a sound of the waves from my room. The hotel is also close to town with many shops and restaurants.
