The hotel was right by the beach, and from the garden where you could have breakfast, you had a direct view of Coconut Tree Hill—so the views were amazing. It was also close to attractions like snorkeling with turtles and surrounded by various restaurants. The staff was available 24/7 and always ready to help. I highly recommend this place!

This was a very nice place to stay and the best one we experienced during our Sri Lanka trip! The rooms were very good, with a comfortable setup and a well-maintained bathroom. We had a room with a beautiful sea view and a small balcony, perfect for relaxing. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a refreshing juice, which was a nice touch. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our stay even better. One of the highlights was the breakfast—it was served in the garden with a stunning view of the sea, and the quality of the food was excellent. Overall, a fantastic experience!

The room was a little on the small side, which isn't that big a deal for us. It had everything we needed for a short stay. Air con worked fine and was very cool, however i think the units probably need a bit of a clean. Our was leaking quite a bit onto the balcony outside. Didnt bother us inside of course, but probably not good in the long run.

The locations of this hotel was great - right next to the slightly quieter, turtle beach. The further you go along the coast, the busier it gets and the more surfing you'll encounter. The staff were lovely, and the food here was excellent. We had our breakfast here both days we stayed. the curries they provided were delicious. Good value for money, and over all i enjoyed my stay here.

Beautiful view from our room over the water. Good swimming in clear, clean water. Fantastic breakfast, we had the Sri Lankan option. We also ate at the hotel for dinner and sat out by the water. The food was exceptionally good and the view amazing - no need to go anywhere else. Room was clean and comfortable.

The staff were friendly and polite. The hotel is right on the sea front although you can’t get directly on the beach. It is only a few minutes walk to turtle bay and 5 more to the main beach although you do have to walk down the busy road but if you have been elsewhere in Sri Lanka you will be use to it. Breakfast is freshly cooked and delicious. We only had one lunch there but again it was delicious. Would certainly stay again. Booking details say cash only but card accepted. They seemed surprised when we said it had said cash only.

Absolutely perfect beach front location. Falling asleep and waking to the sound of the sea. Very friendly staff who could not do enough to ensure we had the perfect stay. Really clean and well maintained property. Absolutely superb breakfast. By far the best we have had at similar sized hotels. Great value for money.

Shanora place is the most peaceful place in Mirissa, feels like home . The stuff are one family, they’re so kind , help with everything with a big smile . The place and the rooms are clean , with an amazing view to the sea . You feel almost like you’re inside the water ! Located near the coconut hill, surf points and all the good restaurants. It’s quite during the night for those who looking for relaxing. We’ve hosted there for one week and it ended so fast ! The breakfasts are very good with a big variety, and also plenty of different dishes in the menu, tasty! We’re definitely gonna come back! Thank you ❤️

Cleaning of rooms mirrors, door frames and glass would have elevated the rooms to immaculate. Staff member throwing things at a puppy on the beach path, not nice to see at all, they don't come on to the property so please do not do this, very upsetting to see!

Service for dinner was appalling. I sat for half an hour waiting for a menu and then another 30 minutes for food. I went elsewhere on my second night.

We found the room small and the toilet floor can be slippy when wet from the wet room shower which takes a while to heat up and has low pressure.. You also can’t escape the major road at the back of the hotel which gets very busy at peak times and noisy - to get to the restaurants at night I would recommend stopping a Tuk Tuk - the cost varies but generally we paid Rs. 500 each way to the central beach area from the hotel

Staff were great and went out of their way to ensure you have a great time - we loved the position of the hotel right next to the sea (you can hear the waves as you drift off to sleep), the breakfasts were different, but very nice and you had multiple options to pick from - we found the food and drink in the bar overlooking the sea freshly made and inexpensive.. The hotel is very clean and the staff are always on top of this, we also had mosquito nets on the bed which we liked. We stayed 6 nights and it took us a couple of days to settle in and find the places to go - the hotel is very near to Coconut Tree hill & Turtle point where we spent many mornings (sometimes before breakfast) swimming with the Turtles and there were at least two turtles each time we snorkelled - a must do The main Mirissa beach is fantastic during the day for swimming/sunbathing and comes alive at night and great to dine out in good restaurants sitting on the beach. We also did a Safari in Udawalawe national park - this was a great tour and we would recommend ‘Tours & Taxi’ in Mirissa

There were a few times we tried to shower and the water was not hot. It was warm outside so this wasn't an issue for us generally but this is the only reason we didn't give 10 stars.

This was a great beachside location and close to many other places in Ella such as coconut hill, etc. We found it very clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great sleep each night here. The staff were wonderful, kind and helpful. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE - strongly recommend getting the string hoppers. Some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka. The grilled fish for lunch or dinner was also really good. Our balcony was lovely to watch the people fishing.
