We had such a wonderful stay at Riverside Villa! The location is awesome and if you get the change stay in the treehouse. It’s very cosy and you can hear the little river beneath it. In the morning you wake up with a beautiful view. On top of that the host/family is really amazing and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Thank you so much Chaminda for everything ;-)

This is a little slice of paradise. Definitely book the treehouse with the lake view as it feels quite secluded. We had our breakfast at a picnic table which is over the lake and watched the fish and lizards in the water. Breakfast is amazing: fresh juice, eggs, bread, pancakes etc. Chilling out on the balcony you can watch the monkeys playing and feeding. All the facilities in the room are good, the bathroom is clean, there is a fan in the bedroom, plenty of space to store bags.

First night we had no airco and the fan could only be placed on 1 spot. So it was quite hot. Would recommend an extra airco for this room. The other room is already with airco.

The host is very friendly and the breakfast was really good on a nice spot!

The hosts were very friendly, and always available if we needed something. He drove us to Pedurangala rock and Sigiriya rock. My boyfriend was feeling sick and they immediately offered to help. Additionally, the place was very clean and the food delicious! Best breakfast we had during our entire stay in Sri Lanka.

The treehouse was fantastic! Located in a quiet part of Sigiriya but not far from the local attractions and restaurants, the treehouse was so relaxing. It was nestled by a river with lots of bird sounds. The treehouse itself was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. We had breakfast by the river which was a nice way to start the day. The family was warm and welcoming. Thanks for having us!

Thank you for the great time we had at the Riverside villa. The kids enjoyed to sleep in the treehouse and hear all the jungle noises. We all had fun getting our feet tickled by the fish 🐠🐟, which is really a very special experience. The breakfast was very delicious!! Thank you for helping us organise tuc-tucs and being so kind and helpful. ☺️

Great location in the middle of the jungle, Chaminda and Mali are amazing, they supported us in the organisation of the visit to the Lion Rock, Polonaruwa and Kaudulla National Park. Highly recommended!

Wonderful setup right by a river. Lush. Comfy. Great atmosphere. Can walk to town with lovely resraurants. But have the host's wife cook at least once. She does amazing job. And her chocolate with banana pancakes for breakfast, and her fresh juices...delicious! And the host. Wow! What a guy. Super friendly, dedicated to make sure you have a great time. So helpful. Arrangea trips for you to national parks. Lion's rock or wherever. Always checking your needs and wishes. Amazing guy! He made our days so wonderful And the simple but beautiul outside picnic area so amazing when having breakfast. And evenings reading on the small treehouse balcony. Hope to be back some day!

There was a frog in the bathroom, no big deal. Our no-AC room was "upgraded" because the one we booked was not fully functional. However, the owner asked us for 5 dollars to turn on the air conditioning since we didn't book it. Fan provided.

Great location alongside the river. Breakfast by the river is very nice, though no fresh fruits have been given (we didn't ask btw). Staff helpful and available. They arranged our safari for a fair price. Good experience overall

The floors are a bit creaky since its wooden planks. Since you're in the middle of nature, expect insects around.

Authentic tree house experience. The owners were very helpful to arrange tuk tuk, taxi etc. The little stream nearby and the hammock downstairs was very relaxing.

I had the loveliest stay here at Chaminda and his family's place. They are such kind and welcoming people, willing to help with just about anything. Chaminda provided lots of transportation for me to Sigiriya, Pidurangala, and Dambulla. The breakfast provided everyday was delicious, and the rice and curry dinner I had one night may have been the best meal I had in Sri Lanka. The river right on the property and the atmosphere in general is just so relaxing and perfect after you've spent the day climbing various rocks haha. I can't recommend this place enough.
