Cleanest place I have been in Sri Lanka, everything is good quality and designed in a way that really makes it feel like home and gives a relaxed serene vibe , from the dimmer lights by the bed, the storage, fridge and wardrobe space (rare in budget places in SL) the bed is so comfy and sheets soft. View from the double was lovely over the garden and having the garden space to sit, under cover but with breeze coming through makes it comfortable to hang out and relax or eat there. Only 3 rooms and so quiet, I never heard my neighbours! Friendly helpful owner, I booked at 5pm from outside the property, called and he drove over immediately & made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Definitely stay here, I was gutted it was fully booked and I couldn’t stay longer.

We loved our stay here! Definitely one of the most beautiful places we stayed during our holiday in Sri Lanka. The rooms are spacious, extremely clean and the atmosphere is very nice. Our only regret was that we couldn't extend our stay :)

It’s a little out of town and the roads are quite hilly so that might not suit everyone. There is no reception as such so let the manager know when you’re due to arrive and he’ll quickly be there to check you in, so not a problem at all just something to be aware of ahead of time.

It was a great little place up a quiet side street a little out of town so it’s lovely and chilled. The room was huge and spotlessly clean and modern with great a/c and even a mini fridge, kettle and tea/coffee. The manager was warm and welcoming and helped me to arrange a driver for my onward journey.

It was everything perfect!!! Location is ideally- to one side 5 minutes walk to Hirikitya beach and to another side 5 minutes walk to Dickwella beach! The restaurants, cafes, shops, messages …. everything near, but in apartment and in the garden very quiet. The terrace is very nice and very clean!!! And many many Thanks to the oner, how helps us every day to make our holiday very good! 🙏 We recommend it 💯💯💯!!!!!!!!

Our stay at Sunset Bay was brilliant. The location is ideal, located between the two main beaches of the area only 5 min walk to both. The room was very spacious and well kitted out. The staff were really friendly and flexible, as they let us check out later for no added. Would definitely go back and stay there!

Beautiful stylish room with a well kept garden. Good bedding and towels, a strong hot shower and excellent wifi. Convenient for both beaches. Meals can be found within a short walk, although there is a kitchen that other guests used. Friendly owner, just be aware that it is cash only on checkout.

Payment only in cash - wasn’t a problem for us but useful to know as can only get cash out in certain quantities at ATMS!

New hotel in Hiriketiya- great location. Beaches & restaurants all in walking distance. Super clean and modern rooms& very spacious. Comfy beds and aircon worked very well. Host was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

This place is really nice! New since January. We stayed in the family room with our 5yo and 4 month old. Clean and spacious with great facilities. Cozy outdoor space with a common kitchen area. Located in between Hiri and Dikwella beaches with short walk to each one (even short with two kids), perfect location in my opinion. The host is very nice and accommodating, we had the room cleaned in the middle of our stay without a problem and he also organised transport for us to our next destination for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend!

Attention to detail was very high. The rooms were brand new, very nicely decorated, comfortable beds and the garden area was very pretty. I liked the views from the roof and I really appreciated use of a well-equipped kitchen

Great staff. Helped with everything. They were available whenever we needed them. They also turned the room early so we could check in. Mega service. The place was brand new. Really clean and modern and everything worked well. Even had a fridge in the room.

We loved our stay at Sunset Bay. The host was really accomodating, there was no favour too big to ask, he helped us to get our way around. The rooms are well equiped, clean, cozy and spacious enough for a family with a baby. The surrounding area and kitchen are kept really tidy at all times. The location of the property was great, steps away from restaurants, good massage spots, supermarket. Panoramic views are good too. Overall, a very good vibe, thanks for hosting us! Will definitely come back if we visit Hiri again ❤️

Great location. Didn’t come in and clean / replace towels in the 4 night stay. The aircon is good. There was no mention of it being cash only until it came time to pay. I then had to rush to an ATM which was frustrating and expensive considering the exchange rate. When I returned, it turned out they had a card machine but it wasn’t there and they couldn’t be bothered to collect it. So not ideal.
