I had a wonderful stay at Anam and overall, the experience was exceptional. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant visit. The amenities, cleanliness, and service were all top-notch. I stayed in Room No. 3, which was spacious and comfortable. However, it could use better ventilation during the day. One small improvement would be to check with guests about room cleaning, especially for those staying longer. The only real downside was the bathroom. While clean, it needs renovation, and the bidet placement was a bit uncomfortable—ideally, it should be on the right side, but in this room, it was on the left. Aside from these minor issues, everything else was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay again if these small improvements are made.

I didn’t have a key for front door so had to ring to enter the building. Was not a problem for me specifically but did feel less flexible

Could do with a mosquito net. Unfortunately I had late night next door neighbours and I could hear everything as I had a glass adjoining door behind a cupboard .

Wi-Fi signal was weak. There was no working desk or comfortable table to work with the laptop in the room. No kettle, even no glasses. They didn't provide towels.

Nice location despite this wasn't the city centre. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious.

Close to the sea, close to the city, close to the mosque, Hassan was a great guy, the first guy I befriended in Sri Lanka Sometimes Hasan used to make tea and drink it. The owner of the guest house was also very polite and a good person.He also became a good friend by learning about Sri Lanka, the beautiful places to visit and how to deal with the people there.I got to learn a lot from them, the only problem was that there was no internet in the room, I had to come outside for internet.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. Mr Milfer, the Manager, was very helpful and very kind. I thank him from bottom of my heart for all the help. Very nice gentleman. Mr Hassan also was helpful. The location of the Hotel was very convenient.

One of the bathrooms were make shift bathrooms which could have been better. The property has a smoking zone inside in the basement floor, which could be a problem for family travellers.

Location was so close to many hotels and temples nearby. It was easy to walk for Indian and vegetarian friendly foods and take aways. Air conditioning was working fine and host provided us a half hour extension for checkout to wait and have the lunch before we vacated. Its value for money in Colombo. They had wide set of plates and utensils that helped out . Big rooms which were very comfortable for packing and unpacking for our trips.

Nothing like that one thing if you go in heavy summer days get an AC room else you can’t properly sleep at night due to heat

The location is a bit far from the city center, but the room is spacious, and there's also a simple kitchen and a washing machine available, which is great! The staff are very friendly and helpful, they even let me print documents, very thoughtful.

The hotel is located near the main road, so it is a little noisy. But if it doesn't bother you, then no problem :)

Very nice staff. They always helped. The owner is a very kind person and drove us to the railway station. They have terminal, so you can pay with credit card.

The Anam Hostel is a home away from home. The cleanliness, Hospitality is excellent. The stay is within the budget. The owner Mr. Milfer Sir is so friendly. We are on a vacation from India. I wish to stay in the same Hostel in my next visit too.
