EstoniaGreat hospitality! Incredibly beautiful views from the top of the hill! The children's playground was very safe for such a height. The pool was very nice and cooling, because otherwise it was very hot for us in Kandy. The meals were specially prepared for us, because fortunately there were not many people in the restaurant. Special thanks to Viswhua, who helped us with everything at the hotel and also gave us a fantastic day tour of the Kandy area as a guide. Viswhua is smart and speaks very fluent English. Thank you! We spent 3 memorable days and 2 nights in Kandy and at The Castle by Don Louis hotel.

United KingdomIt was a little further out than expected but it was easy 2 arrange a tuk tuk or car. A driver named vishna was very kind and patient and would drive you wherever you wanted. The walking distance was the only problem as not much around area unless there was transport

United KingdomUnfortunately we didn’t get the room we had booked, we were very disappointed with the room given to us but the hotel was fully booked & so we were offered a significant discount which we accepted. The room was nicely decorated and clean but it was very dark & was below the kitchen & dining area & consequently there it was noisy, especially early in the morning when they were preparing breakfast. The pool area is nice but there were only 2 Sun loungers & they didn’t have cushions. Although there are some negatives here I would like to reiterate how brilliant the staff were!
The staff were absolutely brilliant, very attentive & friendly. The dining area was very nice with a great view, we had breakfast & evening meal both nights & both were excellent & very reasonably priced.

IndiaThere was no elevator and the room was on the top floor. The room does not qualify for a suite .At best it is a deluxe room with a balcony. The pool is much smaller than it appears in the photograph. Though the staff was very courteous and helpful but communication was only through a WhatsApp number to which there was delayed response. The intercom in the room was non functional.

United KingdomThe hotel is up the hill so you need to get a Tuk Tuk and I would highly recomend getting an app (we used pickme) so you don’t need to explain the location or negotiate the price. Pick me was often half the price.
Nice pool, lovely breakfast, comfortable room and great staff. Quiet (Kandy is busy!). Organised taxi to our next destination. They pick you up from the station.

Outstanding views, peaceful, immaculate rooms, comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in (actually better than my bed at home), excellent staff and delicious food! Couldn’t fault this place. However do not expect the Ritz the hotel is basic and the facilities are basic, but my first points outweigh this. If you want a peaceful spot outside of Kandy’s busy centre this is your place!

My wife & I stayed at the Castle for 3 nights & our overall experience was terrific! From the moment we arrived, the staff could not do enough for us. When the showed us to our room we were blown away, great size with panoramic views over Kandy city. Great air conditioning, super bathroom. The food in the restaurant was really good & particular, the breakfast is top class! What was so good was, that if we wanted food that was not on the menu, just ask & the will Make given time. Some people of note, Ashiru, was a great young lad who looked after us so well in the restaurant during our stay. Kumesh the manager was very good, he made sure that everything was really smooth for us. Vishwa the hotel driver was very good at getting us to where we wanted to go at a reasonable price. Finally Koshi, the owner of the Castle, was wonderful! She spent time chatting with us & getting to know us, which was very nice. She also took time out of her busy schedule, to take us to her favourite spa, where we all got very nicely pampered. Thank you for that Koshi 😁 5 stars all around.

United KingdomThe staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and I enjoyed my brief stay at The Castle. One of the best aspects is its location up on a hill above the smog and traffic noise of Kandy, but still close enough to visit the centre and other attractions. And the view is fabulous.
