This exceptional place blew up our minds. At the top of the hill, surrounded by tea plantation and magnificent nature. The bungalows are so spacious and comfortable. Big and comfortable bed. The view of the valley below and sunrise is spectacular. The smells and sounds of the nature keep you so calm with no need of anything else. Property manager Inthizar and his team makes sure you are taken care of properly. The food is excellent, both local and international dishes and you can choose to eat at the bungalow or the terrace. The hike through the plantation was amazing and a special treat. It is a bit away from Kandy, but worth by any means. When we left, just like amazinh host he is, Inthizar was checking on us if we were doing fine on the rest of our voyage and if we needed any assistance from his side. Definitely a place to visit again.

There were several ants in the bathroom at night.

The location was private, quiet, and off the beaten path. The location is about 45min from Kandy. Staff were excellent. Inthizar was incredibly communicative, hospitable, and helpful. The views were spectacular and the room was spacious. Expect a more rustic type of accommodation. There's no wifi, tv, or alcohol on property. Breakfast was served in the room and included fresh fruits. The welcome iced tea was delicious. The chef can also prepare other meals but expect to pay $$ hotel pricing for meals that are not included in your booking.

Stunning view at a beautiful location; A cosy villa on a mountain side with amazing service and top quality fresh food served to the room! Our host was very kind to take us on a small hike to a stunning location to see the beautiful sunset over the mountains! The host was very accommodating for our early check out and made us feel very welcome. Please note the land is under development with improvements coming in the very near future. No WiFi or TV but it’s not needed with the stunning views. Tip: Food is a must to try! The chef is amazing. Expect some insects. The property is In the middle of the forest and mountains Non-alcoholic

Remote area, so bring everything you need and you will eat at the hotel for meals

Inthazar and his team are simply world class. My wife and I decided to stay at their beautiful resort for 2 nights and 3 days and what an incredible experience. Food was unbelievably good, service was fantastic and well, the views speak for themselves. This location was easily the most relaxed my husband and I were all trip and would recommend to anyone thats passing through Sri Lanka that wants to fully disconnect for a few days. There is literally fresh herbs and spices when youre walking to your room and all the rooms are fairly seperated so you feel like you own the place. I hope to come back in this life time with more of my family so they can experience this as well. World class establishment.

This was by far the best stay and experience in Sri Lanka, and could we go back in time we would stay at least a week! It’s one of those magical places where time stops, mind detaches and you don’t need anything else. The resort is in an incredible place, the views all around are just stunning, and waking up to this, opening your eyes in the morning and seeing a whole glazed wall overlooking the greenest valley whilst hearing birds sing and breathing the cleanest air… is simply priceless! The cabin is stylish, designed to modern standards and yet with a strong connection to the Sri Lankan nature and soul, spacious and clean. Service is impeccable, we were served breakfast and dinner in our room at the requested time (on the dot!), and staff was always around to help. Food was incredible, every breakfast and dinner was different and delicious, with the freshest ingredients, and we had the chance to try some local fruits/dishes/drinks we had never tried before! But to us it’s the people that make a place memorable and the Cloud Resort is no exception. Inthizar and his brother are incredible hosts, not only are they the kindest people, their professionalism, experience and knowledge shows in everything they do. From the moment we stepped out of the car we were treated like very special guests, Inthizar welcomed us personally together with other members of staff, and spent time to show us around the resort, explain all the different plants on the property, and tell us the story of how everything started. It is unbelievable to think that every little detail of this place was conceived and realised by Inthizar and his family, but it definitely shows because this place has a soul like no other. The same day we were taken for a walk through the tea plantations and to a rock with a breathtaking view at sunset where locals were launching kites, which was a simple and yet magical moment.

Photos hardly do this place justice, unlike other places in Sri Lanka i feel it exceeds what you think it would be.Cloud resort was 100% our favorite accommodation and location on our 2 week visit to Sri Lanka. It is the most beautiful location with breathtaking views, our room had a panoramic view of the valley, which we could see from our bed. Sunset and sundown, such a spoil. Our private butler brought meals to our room, we were treated like royalty. We only stayed 2 nights, we were on a tight schedule, but it is the kind of place you should stay a minimum of 5 nights. The mountain walks to whatch the sunset, the pinawala is super close , the old tea factory is amazing, and just finding peace for your soul. The rooms are incredible, every small detail was crafted and curated by the owners ( family), and is such a treat to discover all the attention to detail and thoughtful comforts. Our bed was a highlight, it was a swing suspended from the ceiling, we have never slept so well being gently rocked to dream land. Inthi was an an incredible host, gave us lots of privacy, but always there if we needed anything. He was super helpful with directions, excursions, and just general info and the history of Sri Lanka. I loved meeting him. Butttt all this said...... the food!!!!!! Oh my word is was blown away, up to this point of our travels the food never blew me away....... but I would definitely recommend having all your meals there. It was beautiful, fragrant, and delicious!!!!!!!!! One of our top stays we have ever been to by far. The Cloud Resort is a hidden gem in Kandy, offering breathtaking SUN RISE views from the chalets. Each morning of myb3 night stay I was greeted by stunning panoramas of misty mountains, making for a serene start to the day. The accommodations are beautifully designed, blending modern comforts with local charm, and the private terrace / deck was a perfect spot to feel the 1st rays of the sun.The food was a highlight, featuring a delicious variety of local and international dishes, with a particularly impressive breakfast spread. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring a wonderful experience. In summary, The Cloud Resort is a must-visit for those seeking tranquility, great food, and outstanding service. I left feeling rejuvenated. Highly recommended...!!!

The only slight negative is that the property is described as luxury, but it doesn’t quite reach luxury status in practice (just some of the finer details are missing). The main thing was there are lots of ants and insects (it didn’t bother us too much but not what you would expect at a luxury resort). It’s still definitely worth the price though because the view and location is so unique.

An unforgettable view. This is one of the most memorable places we’ve stayed because the view is truly stunning. Watching the sun rise over the Kandyan hills with the sounds of the jungle and the chanting of the monks from the nearby monastery was a highlight of our stay in Sri Lanka. The staff can’t do enough for you and the breakfast was very good.

The view is just out of this world. Great place for the escape to the nature and fresh air. The host, Inthizar made our trip smooth with all small details being organised including transportation, suggestions of place to visit and small hike to the breathtaking view point. The hanging bed was not very comfortable, because you wake up from each movement of the other person in the bed. The host was a bit annoying, especially when we informed, about decission to leave and not to stay for another night.

The meal at $15 USD per person is quite expensive, you might arrange your own on the way if you were trying to save money, however the meal we had was really delicious.

- the location is just outstanding… the view from balcony is another level… this is a place to get relaxation.. unfortunately we could stay only for one day but highly recommended for a longer stay… the design of house is modern cum traditional with a hanging bed which gives slight swings and provide you a comfort to sleep… the highlight is chef - we had lunch, dinner and breakfast with them and the portion was big and lot of varieties…the owner Inthizar and butler Amjad both took care of all our needs and took us to a small hike nearby for a nice view… highly recommend to stay at the cloud resorts

Everything about the property is BREATHTAKING. The views are like nothing I have seen before, exceptional! the room was very clean and decorated beautifully, the food was amazing, breakfast and dinner were perfect, served with fresh juice and fruits. The calmness and the stunning nature is indescribable. Really a bucket list experience! Special thanks to Inthizar and the staff there, absolutely fantastic, 5 star hotel treatment.
