Smell of rooms was nice but a bit too strong

Very helpful and kind staff. The host chauffeured us to a wedding venue at odd times of the night where uber/taxi is not an option. Breakfast was omelette, tea/coffee, fruits, toast, and was delicious. Location is peaceful.

Would be good to have continental breakfast as an alternative to Sri Lankan offering.

Charming little hotel, which feels like an art gallery. We loved it’s classical design (though it’s newly built!). Location on the dikes is actually very good, as there is no noise other than coming from birds or monkeys :). Attention to detail is impressive. Super clean. Food is delicious. Hotel staff goes extra mile so that the stay is comfortable and memorable, and they were very helpful in arranging transportation for us.

Nothing, for us it worked well as we wanted somewhere quiet ane chilled.

The staff were amazing, so attentive and helped arrange a tuk tuk to take us around. It was nice that it away from the hustle and bustle of Dambulla. They cooked for us two nights and the food was very good, better than anything we tried locally.

Excellent communication prior to our arrival. Welcoming, friendly, and very helpful staff, eg organised tuk tuks and taxis at very reasonable prices. Clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Tranquil garden, good for evening relaxation. Delicious breakfast with attentive service.

Amazing place to stay in Dambulla! The hosts were amazing, great service and hospitality! The place is literally in the middle of a tropical garden hearing the birds and enjoy the sounds of nature! The breakfast was delicious freshly prepared by the hosts every day! Highly recommend! Thanks a lot

Clean and modern in a quiet, residential area of Dambulla (but not very far - 20 minutes away by foot, 5 by tuktuk). Very, very attentive people and easy communication. They helped us get a car, gave us suggestions regarding what to do in the area, etc.

All fine

We recommend this place It is a very nice place to stay, with 4 bedrooms with big bathroom, very well equipped (even with small fridge, kettle and hairdryer) and comfortable beds. A nice small garden and a nice area with sofa to relax. Breakfast and dinner were very good. But another important component that made the stay very nice were the people running it, all of them and the manager is particularly helpful. It really worth Ps- please do not change towels everyday! Even big hotels don't do it. It is better for the environment.

The use of cool colour light bulbs

The peacefulness of the Green Edge is amazing. Wildlife comes to visit and entertain, the sounds of the night are relaxing and the staff were amazing.

We liked everything

A wonderful oasis in a peaceful lane outside Dambulla but only a few minutes bike ride / walk into town or to the temple. We loved the stylish decor, the spacious wet room and the wonderful Japanese garden with monkeys and squirrels visiting the feeders. The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us, organising tuktuks for our visit to Pidurangala and Pophams. The Hotel was spotless and really well looked after and the Sri Lanka curry dinner was perfect for us.

The place is beautiful, nicely decorated. The room was comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The staff was really nice and accommodating.

This is not a complaint but and observation. We were there for pre-wedding dinners and a wedding celebration. My wife would have loved better lighting over the mirrors to do her make up. The bathrooms were well done but were not "dry". A shower stall would have been a better design as without it the floor get wet and so does the commode which is adjacent to the shower.

Very warm and hospitable staff that really looked after us. Very relaxing surroundings with tastefully done up, rooms, veranda and compound. Hot beverages and meals served on fine crockery. Bottled water and hot beverages served on the house. Flexible meal timings by the very attentive staff.

If I was being picky we found the air con quite noisy

We had a fantastic stay at Green Edge which really shows its Japanese influence from the calm exterior decor through to the coffee and teas on offer, the immaculate bathroom and the hospitable hosts. We were given attentive care and felt so well looked after with a plentiful breakfast and fantastic speedy laundry of our clothes that were rain soaked.
