Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Really good hostel. The rooms were clean, comfy, and I thought spacious for dorm rooms. I really enjoyed the social vibes - there were plenty of things organised by the hostel, like a family dinner and various nights out, and the pool table there is a big plus. The location is a bit away from the beach (10min walk or so), but that's great because it's away from the noisier busy parts of town.

Amenities and common area were clean, everything you need out of a good priced hostel. Lots of social activities organised so perfect if you are a solo traveller!

Nothing really
The location is great and it’s very clean! The dorm and bathroom are cleaned every day. There is a nice common area to just chill and meet people. And a large kitchen to cook for yourself if you want!

The hostel was located in a fantastic spot, the dorms were very comfortable and the staff were amazing. Everyone I met here was awesome, and the hostel itself is very social and everyone I met here was very welcoming. Azza and Rijkje made everyone feel welcome and I was very sad to leave.

Comum areas were super clean and well maintained. The bed didn’t had the most comfortable mattress, but in general was enough for the 2 nights I stayed. Staff super friendly

I liked everything :-)
I had to study little bit with my laptop so for me it was such a great surprise that the wifi was soo good!! I really liked the owner of this place, and the common area with the pool table. They have activities every day!!! Activities and the comfy common area made this hostel very social and a good place to meet people 🙏❤️

Awesome stay! Hamza was a super host - really friendly, fun, and great at rallying the group. The daily activities are fun and there is a nice social vibe to the hostel!

Maybe rooms are a bit small but its fine. Good value for money.
Azza, the guy who runs the place is such a nice guy. He tries to incluide everyone new in the group. They have daily activities. They also have a pool to play and a/c rooms also they have curtains at the beds.

I felt really comfortable and welcomed here, the vibe was super friendly and fun. Azza was a fantastic host and he has the cutest puppy Luna. I really enjoyed joining everyone at the beach for volleyball and having a family dinner. The room was comfortable and there's a nice chill place to hang out and play games in the evening.

I had a great time staying here! I am hoping to return again during my travels. The hostel has an amazing atmosphere and Azza the owner is a really great guy and arranges many activities. This place seems to attract really chill, fun and cool people, so a great place to stay to meet people if you are traveling solo! Would 100% definitely recommend staying here!😍

1 bathroom for 8 people. No breakfast included.
Easy to socialize with people thanks to common space and activities are planned. Beds are very comfy and have curtains.

Great hostel with nice, easygoing and social vibe. Azza and his team were welcoming, warm and made my stay unforgettable. The hostel is close to the Hiriketiya and Dickwella beach and all the major restaurants.
