Didn't find the staff in the dining area very friendly and warm.

The location is fantastic and offers great views of the ocean and passing trains from the room. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The bathroom drains I think were in bad shape and smelt awful. There was a lot of noise in the morning from a function the hotel was hosting which could be heard from my room (quite high up). The rooftop bar needs a little refurb, for example the tables along the side were slanted so you had to hold your drinks to stop them tilting over. Of course we could have moved but we wanted to see the view

Location right on the seafront was cool and about 30mins from the airport. The room was large however the bathroom smelt really bad, luckily was only there for 1 night. The staff were very friendly and welcoming however and helped us find a driver who we ended up relying on for the whole week! The staff at rooftop bar were also very friendly and attentive

it was quite expensive though and we could see that it used to be quite luxurious and now you could tell the years has past. there are also very few electrical plugs in the room and all of them located in one corner.

we were stunned by the view over the ocean and it was nice to have a bathtub which costs a little extra. the staff was super friendly and helpful. it was perfect to read a book in the comfortable chairs and have a great view on the ocean

The receptionist who was there on the 13 June ( early morning) was extremely rude, he was asleep when i went downstairs to check out around 5am, appeared to be annoyed to have dealt with me. The wash basin in the bathroom was blocked and had a bad smell.

Location and the views were amazing. There was a staff member at the restaurant, a lady who was very considerate and provided excellent service.

Hotel Ocean Colombo offers a comfortable stay with a good breakfast and friendly staff, particularly Dulsi, who stands out for excellent service. However, some guests may find the bed and room size to be quite small.

Power went twice and both occasions Maintenance team had to attend to fix the circuits. It was annoying they had to come mid way to our room and had to stay awake+leave the door open mid night to fix the AC & restore room’s electricity. It took about 1 hour to fix the circuit breakers.

Towel was not provided by the time we checked in and we had to call and had to wait 20 mins to receive a towel also had to call many times to reception for the same.

The sea view was amazing from the room especially by sunset. food was delicious. friendly staff especially Bell boy Samatha was outstanding at his service.

It smelled like old water from the shower and I saw personnel put a few aromatic sprays to hide the smell - so the hotel is aware of the problem...

Is slightly dated.

Gave us exactly what we needed for the one night stay. Staff were really friendly and when we arrived after 3 hours travelling we was welcomed with a lovely fresh fruit welcome drink.
