Maybe it's not the question to the hotel, but the location on booking shows completely irrelevant location somewhere close to another hotel The Kingsbury Colombo. The actual location of the hotel is closer to the Dutch Hospital area, so better check google maps.

The room was big with good air conditioner, the bed was big and comfortable, well-equipped bathroom with a hairdryer, everything was very clean, Wi-Fi was stable and worked well. The breakfast was good, and it was possible to select on which day you want to have breakfast.

During the weekend the music from nearby pubs and restaurants is very loud and until very late. The hotel is a bit old, so the windows don’t protect against any noise. We were staying on the 6th floor and despite that we were hearing the music so loud it felt like they were playing next door. After the first sleepless night, we contacted reception who told us that the following night the music would have stopped earlier and be less loud. Of course this wasn’t the case. We asked if we could be moved to another room but this was also not accepted, so we ended up sleeping with pillows over our heads.

We enjoyed the central location. The room was spacious and well cleaned.

You can’t open the windows so the smell was a bit oppressing.

It isn't a big issue but rooms are a bit outdated. Also keep in mind that hotel is right next to Dutch Hospital (kind of mall) and a few bars that performs live music during the weekends so it's noisy until 1am.

Comfy bed, good shower and room space, good breakfast (partly buffet on the weekends) and walking to distance from the One Galle Mall (less than 10min) and Pettah Market. Friendly and helpful staff too!

The lighting inside the room we stayed was not bright enough giving off a depressing vibe.

The hotel is conveniently located with a number of nice restaurants close by. The staff are really nice and helpful, and so was the service. Food is also good in general.

The breakfast area had a lot of small flies and all the food items including cakes, breads etc. were covered with plastic to prevent the flies from sitting on them. If these flies were hovering around cut fruits I could have discounted this but they were all over the place. Also, there was no hand towel provided which was strange especially when you have clothes iron and iron board but not something as basic as hand towel in the room.

Excellent location. The room was humongous and well furnished. We had a great view of the Lotus Tower from our 6th floor room. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. Food was great. The in room dining menu has a lot of options and the taste is good too. The breakfast spread was good too. I would rate this higher than all hotels in this price category in the Fort area.

It gets very noisy due to the pubs accross the street. The breakfast can have some variety as after 3 days it felt too repeatable.
