Very good hotel. With good staff and best breakfast and delicious food in restaurant, it’s good because don’t need go anywhere. Have a nice tree house for sunrise or sunsets. Had a small problem with electricity.

We stayed at Tree Trails for 3 nights. The experience was unique and unforgettable. The location of the hotel is in the middle of a tree forest, very peaceful and calm (generators running continuously but are not that bothersome). The room was very clean, AC functioning properly, bed was comfortable. The view from the tree house was breathtaking and the pool refreshing. What made our stay really special was the incredibly kind and welcoming staff. A very special thanks to Anjali Rathnayake who went out of her way for us to have the best stay possible. The unexpected cherry on the cake was the food served at the restaurant! Truly five stars!! Chef Nissanka is a gem, highly experienced and preparing a wonderful selection of dishes with a lot of care and finesse. Tree Trails filled us with serenity and peace. If you are passing through Sigirya this is a place not to miss!

We had a wonderful stay at this unique accommodation right in the middle of the jungle! With rooftop viewpoints, a tranquil pool, and outstanding service, this place truly offers a special experience. Even though it's located a bit off the beaten path, the atmosphere more than makes up for it—you might not want to leave at all. The included breakfast was so generous it practically lasted us all day. In the evening, there was a great selection of local and Western dishes made with high-quality ingredients (though portions were on the smaller side). The peaceful pool area was perfect for unwinding, and the staff really took Sri Lankan hospitality to the next level. Occasional evening power fluctuations were handled smoothly with a temporary diesel generator, but it switched off well before bedtime, leaving only the soothing jungle sounds. For mobile work, this place may not be ideal—the Wi-Fi relies on a mobile connection, which wasn't strong enough for demanding online tasks. But for a relaxing holiday segment in Sri Lanka, this place gets our full recommendation! We arrived by public bus from Kandy, changing at Dambulla, and then took a Tuk Tuk from the Sigiriya bus stop to the accommodation for 1000 rupees. During our stay, we rented a scooter in Sigiriya, while other guests used rental Tuk Tuks to get around.

We have very fond memories of our stay at this hotel. It was the beginning of our journey around Sri Lanka. It is a cozy resort in the middle of the jungle, prepared for the most demanding clients. A real paradise for nature and animal lovers. Rooms - very spacious, clean, well-equipped. The chef's breakfasts — both Sri Lankan and continental versions—were delicious. They were so varied and tasty. We could even pick vegetables in a neighboring village to be prepared for us the next day. Amazing! We greatly appreciated the flexibility, and support in every matter. The team that managed the reception and guest service - was incredibly committed. Basically, every problem could be solved. We could count on help in every matter. Everyone was always smiling, nice, open-minded. Always so client-oriented!

We had a wonderful stay at Tree Trails. The cheerful young staff all made us feel very welcome and comfortable. There is a great sense of privacy in each unit and a large terrace with seating to enjoy the peace. Comfortable beds and a good shower. A special shout out to Nissanka the chef who was kind enough to invite us into the kitchen to share his secrets. The food was excellent, plentiful, cooked from scratch and made with a passion. Our hosts Anji and Nadeeshan went out of their way to make our stay a memorable experience. We felt right at home due to their exceptional hospitality. We had a great time exploring the remote area around the hotel by bike. The hosts even guided us around personally. We also loved the night safari and were amazed by seeing many elephants close by.

Not a criticism but a bit off the beaten track and tuk tuk drivers had some difficulty finding it when returning from an outing. Handy to have google maps with you to help them get you back!

Boutique style hotel so few rooms but very well appointed and made for a quiet retreat. Lovely and clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Stands in large grounds so very peaceful. Pool a welcome sight in the heat of the day.

The Tree Trails is simply amazing, the location, the amazing architecture and the superb staff make this a hotel not to be missed on a visit to Sigiriya. We had hoped to stay longer but only one night was available. The food was fabulous . The staff really went out of their way to make us feel at home. The rooms and facilities were perfect with amazing views. We had a fantastic stay at this place, where the hospitality and service were top-notch. I visited this beautiful property and stayed for 2nights with my group. The service rendered by The Staff and The Management Team in all departments was absolutely fantastic! We were on our holiday with some of our friends. Good hotel with outstanding service. Staff is very attentive and fulfilled our needful quickly. Room was very clean and fresh. Speed Wifi. Dining was memorable, with a variety of cuisines that always catered to our dietary requirements and palettes. The food was delicious and we kept going back for more. Very good spot to stay to travel around areas. They arranged all our tours to Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Dambulla and Safari. Prices for taxies are reasonable too. Village walk and the cycle tour was amazing. Highly recommended and come back for sure. Thanks to the staff & the management.

Beautiful location, very peaceful, lots to see and do in the hotel as well as in the area (Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Safari). It’s lovely to walk throughout the vast property, see the butterfly garden and get a guided tour of the farm. Rooms are spacious and well maintained and the food was good. The hotel overall was very pleasant. The incredibly friendly and warm staff, in particular, made our stay very enjoyable. The pool was fantastic and a great way to relax. Unfortunately, our room was a bit dark, as it didn’t have a glass window, and we had to keep the shutters closed due to the heat and insects. This did affect the experience a bit, but we still felt comfortable. The food was also good and offered a nice variety. Overall, it was a lovely experience, with a few minor areas for improvement regarding the shutters.

This is a new property and not yet up to standard. The manager was lovely and really helpful but his staff were very inexperienced. Unless he was there, it was very disorganised. The restaurant area was very bland and had no ambience, needed some nicer decor and homeliness. Breakfast was adequate but often had problems with delivery. The wifi was pretty poor and intermittent.

The room was comfortable and spacious, the pool area was nice (though the sunbeds needed cushions), the reception area was well laid out. If you like being remote, this is idyllic for you. You’re in the middle of the forest, birds tweeting etc.
