No bin for trash in the room, no soap, no towels, bathrooms smelled bad. Staff was also not very helpful, they charged 500 lkr extra for earlier checkin, even though there were no other guests there.

Bathroom could do with a deep clean & attention to the shower head. Fridge in room did not work well (turned on but didn’t get cold). Coconuts falling on to the tin roof in the middle of the night (not sure if this is something that can be helped).

Good value for money, a pool table (although it was wonky and tired, so could do with replacing - but we made it work), clean & spacious bedroom, attentive staff, quiet area.

The cabins are not very soundproof. In other words, you hear everything from next door. Not really a problem for me but something to know.

Wifi and hot water wasn't great. Lack of wifi makes ordering pick-me cab service hard or looking up things to do. Lack of hot water isn't great when you have kids.

A/C worked but remote stopped working in the night. The bed sheet was small for two people sharing. Worth mentioning that music was playing till quite late (around 11pm) however this was no a problem for us. Otherwise all good.

We stayed one night here, the room was clean and a short walk to the beach. It was close to restaurants too. Very basic facilities but suitable for our needs. Good value for money.

Dont like talking badly about people but got a weird vibe from the owner (who also lives there). Also having AC in the rooms but charging an extra fee is a bit of a joke (I worked out that paying for 2 nights AC usage would pay for an entire month running 24/7 at the price he charges 😂)

Decent location and off the main street, owner of the restaurant was an amazing guy, so friendly, great service and really nice food/juices

I had a room with a fan which was still too hot. Also, there were quite some animals in the bathroom during the first day (frog, salamander-like animal, cockroach). The second day they had disappeared...

Internet was very weak in the room. Kitchen utensils need an update, more basic equipment - bowls, cutlery, wooden spoons etc needed. Beds didn't feel too solid. Felt a bit makeshift.

There was no hot water in the shower either day. It wasn't really bad because it's hot in Trincomalee anyway. In addition, there were a lot of ants in the room and it was disturbing especially at night because we felt like we were being stung

The bed was large and luxurious, the room was cozy and smelled good and was spacious, the air conditioner was good!!

There were cochroaches sneaking in and oit of the front door gap between the door and the floor. This actually became a bit of a nuisance. There were no coffee/tea making kettles in the room. Also, the kitchen is not active.

The cabana style setup was really good, the proximity to the beach makes a huge difference when you wants to chill out at the beach.
