Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandThere is construction work going on around the building so there was a little drilling but I was warned about this in advance of booking and it didn't really bother me. Another review references that it's close to an area with sex workers etc. I only saw this after checking out. Basically if you come out the door of hotel and turn left, it takes you to train station and direction of all the tourist attractions. Turning right takes you toward that area....there's no reason to turn right unless you want to explore further or that's what you're looking for! :-)
This was a perfect spot for exploring Luxembourg, would absolutely recommend. The staff I met on reception were super helpful and friendly. Half an hour on the free bus from airport and literally across the road from train station. Close to all amenities and the perfect point for exploring the city.

United KingdomIs wasn't really an issue for me but there are no views to be had from any of the hotel rooms. A couple look out on a slim alley & part of a building site - a Marriot Hotel is under construction adjoining The Grey and there can be a fair bit of noise just now - and a couple look out onto a narrow street.
The Grey is in a great location - mere metres across from the Gare Centrale, tram stops and bus connections. The room was very smart, clean and comfortable with an excellent shower and aircon. It is quite a small hotel with only 5 rooms to each floor and is connected to a small Sushi restaurant next door that has a bar. Reception is manned 24/7 and staff are helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is taken at the restaurant inside the train station and while a little limited in options is sufficient. As all public transport is free in Luxembourg it's very handy to be able to jump on a tram or bus at any time that's almost on your doorstep.

CanadaWould have liked an earlier check-in time. We found the bed a little low.
Room was clean, ready on time. Staff were courteous and accommodating, provided us info on transit and restaurants. Shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Room was quiet.

United KingdomThe street noise was considerable (people talking and loitering in street) and considerable construction in area. Also on a flight path and that can be noisy. However, foam ear plugs I keep with me solved the issue. Some features a bit dated - ex old iPhone/Apple plug charger built in.
Great location - basically across the road from central train station. Good number of amenities around. Staff friendly. Hotel generally more modern, plenty of amenities. Bed very very comfortable.

BelgiumEven though it was in the offer, parking was not available, I had to take my car to a P+R because already 5 minutes after my arrival two nice gently drugged guys were sitting on that and I did not assess the surroundings as safe. The toilet contained some stains after the last guest, the water was not flowing down in the shower room, and canal smell was spreading while having a shower. And I wouldn't even mind these but comparing to the price I expected something better for my money.
The bed was excellent. That's all

United KingdomThe air conditioning was very noisy. Needed turning off at night. Slightly noisy in the morning with construction work.
I really did not expect much from this hotel which I booked last minute for a quick one night trip and it exceeded all my expectations. Spacious, clean, private, nice bathroom and shower, very comfortable and a space to work. It is very well priced (for Luxembourg) and I will definitely stay again if I am in the city as it is right next to the station.

CanadaThere were two things I didn't like. One was the chair at the desk - it looked fashionable but the seat was hard metal with large, irregular gaps. Had to put a towel down to add some padding. The second was that none of the electrical outlets would continue working if the room key was pulled out of the slot in the wall. I'm in favour of energy saving but it would be helpful to have one plug that still worked so that I could charge a laptop or battery pack while away.
The room was well-furnished and spotless, the location was super convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

HungaryThe wi-fi internet is practically unusable. I never understood these registering required networks. Can someone tell me a password why isn’t enough? I was managed to connect only for once for a couple of minutes.
The hotel is extremely close to the train station. When you exit the station it’s only 30 meters away! The hotel is very shiny and clean. The room is not too big but modern looking. The bathroom is exceptional!

GreeceBreakfast was poor without many options to decide. If someone is taking a shower, he/she is visible from the bed. So this room is only for couple or single people and not for friends.
The location was super convenient. It is very close to the train station and there are any bus stops (plus the stop for the tram) 2 mins far from the hotel.

The staff was first rate!!! Gave great recommendations, very polite and professional :) The room was spotless, it was very very small but had everything I needed. It was surprisingly quiet I only heard 2 planes go overhead, and the window was closed. The location is great since its diagonal from the train station. I walked to most of the places I wanted to go within 20-45 minutes. During the day lots of people, but at night a bit sketchy
