Great place to stay when visiting Essaouira, in the heart of the medina. Very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Magnificent view from the terrace up top, a perfect spot to chill drink tea and have brunch! Most of all, Excellent hospitality with a very welcoming staff. I was not comfortable sleeping on the top bunkbed, when I requested to change my bed to a lower bunk, they did with kindness and no hesitation. Thank you.

Small bar fridge in kitchen for so many people, but the cheap rooftop restaurant helps the cooking situation. Also, There wasn't enough bathroom facilities on the shared dorm level as there are around 3 or 4 rooms on the level we stayed on, and my room was a 16 bed shared dorm. I don't know about the other rooms or how many people they occupied, so it could be a few more people to share with or maybe even 30 more people. Im not to sure, but just a heads up, if you book the cheapest room, expect to stay in a 16 bed shared room. It doesnt tell you how many you share with online when you book the cheap room, but you get what you paid for. If you don't like noise, this is not for you. Many loud and intoxicated people coming in and out at 2am with very thin walls. I think this might be a party hostel so if you want to have an awesome time and meet people, come here it's perfect! Depends on the traveller and your preferences.

The staff were amazing, and so was the vibe. Great location inside the medina. It's not perfect, but it's definitely worth it and more for the cheap price we paid!!! I would stay here again if I travel on a budget.

The hostel was in a really good position inside the medina, and super easy to access. There were always many people around, but the curtains around the beds gave a good sense of privacy.

Everything excellent, my favourite hostel in southern Morocco. Amazing view, lots of place to remote work. Hostel big enough that some people can be noisy in one place and you can go sit in some other place and not worry about it.

The kitchen was quite messy and dirty, the bathrooms sometimes as well. There was a rooftop which belonged to a restaurant, so you were not allowed to eat t your own food there.

It was super cheap, the staff was very kind and helpful. The location was great and on the ground floor was a great common space where you could eat and talk.

The dorm was very cramped - they’ve tried to put too many beds in there meaning there is virtually no room to leave your bag. There were also only two showers on our floor between 3 dorms (so around 30 people). I’m also not sure if they wash the blankets they provide you - they don’t provide you with a sheet but instead only a large, thick blanket, so I’m not sure how they’d wash these (and didn’t see any hung up drying in the laundry areas). I don’t know this for sure, though. The restaurant on the rooftop is quite expensive for a cheap hostel so I didn’t eat there (breakfast isn’t included)

It is a good price, and the location is very central within the old medina so you are a short walk from shops/food and about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach

there is not much privacy regarding the bathrooms, the entire floor shares one and you can hear noises from the stalls perfectly while showering. floor the rooms was not properly cleaned, esp. in the corners. if you have a bunk bed on top, that is quite high and the ladder is uncomfortable. the food in the restaurant is mediocre at best, but that is not really a problem considering the many restaurants near by.

the location is amazing, staff is really nice and helps you fast. personally it made me feel more safe, that there is also a woman working at the reception. you can tell that the hostel attracts very much chill people with a nice mindset. the roof is really beautiful and the restaurant itself is very nice. shared spaces are very nice, there is privacy in the bunk beds, the city itself is amazing

The location is very good. I had a very good experience, meet to many friendly people, the hostel feels like family house. Cooking together, eating together and dancing together. Its a very special place.

They should figure out how the codes to the room doors work. They gave me the codes, but despite staying in two different rooms over several days, I never managed to open a single door without someone unlocking it from the inside to help me. Other people had the same trouble - but the reception is 24h so it's not like you would ever find yourself locked out for good - hence don't let this detract you from visiting, I just think they should fix it, haha

The rooftop terrace is worth dying for. Excellent space both for remote working alone or for meeting other travellers. One of my favourite hostels of all time, the vibe is just great and I got a ton of remote work done while also satisfying my social needs through meeting lots of cool people. Will definitely return

Room was a little crowded 16 beds. Beds were very squeaky.

The staff were excellent, from the cleaning girls to front desk. The guys play drums at night and it's great fun.
