Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThe only issue to mention is the noise from the street at night, if you are a light sleeper.
The location is very convenient. You can get easily to the highlights. Our room on the last floor had nice views to one of the terraces. It was clean as well as the bathroom, which was also spacious. Breakfast included orange juice, tea, pastries, breads, fruit, honey... Delicious and worth the value. The best was the guys working there, who were very communicative, kind and helpful. Specially Hamza who welcomed us from the very beginning, and who was very caring.

United Kingdomthis isn’t a negative but more of a suggestion. While I was at the hostel I lost the key to my locker. There was no spare key so they had to break into my locker. I was a bit worried that the hostel might try and charge me an extortionate amount to get a replacement lock, but when I checked out they didn’t ask for anything. This is obviously a big plus as the staff are honest and don’t try to cheat you. I felt very guilty that the staff had to break into my locker and wanted to offer to pay for the new lock. I stopped myself from offering though as it’s the responsibility of the hostel to make sure they have a spare key. I would suggest that the hostel always has a spare key and also has a small charge for people who lose keys that is communicated to them when they take the key in the first place.
the property is absolutely beautiful and kept in very good condition. It has a lovely roof terrace and the breakfast was really delicious too. It’s in a great location in the medina and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Czech RepublicWithout a doubt one of the best hostel experiences I’ve had. It’s not just about having a place to sleep in, the hosts truly made me feel at home and were very helpful in every way. They were there for us 24/7 and would help with anything. I booked a trip to Merzouga through them, which was a beautiful experience. They had no problem with my check out at 3AM and helped me get a taxi to the airport during the night. The breakfast is delicious, and for the 2,50€ it’s a bargain. The common area was a great way to meet new people and everyone was super nice, I even found a travel buddy there. If you have doubts, I strongly recommend trying this one out, whether you’re a solo traveller or with friends - They also have private rooms available.

United KingdomYou may need to use the navigation on your phone/gadget to find the hostel when walking through the very busy local Medina/market, but it's worth walking past very interesting shops and market stalls with variety of souvenirs as well as locally produced fresh fruits & vegetables stalls and hot food eateries. The hostel is comfortable, with very kind and helpful staff members. Mouad kindly sent me transport advice even before my arrival! 🙏 Hamza is another true star who helped me with all my queries and gave me very useful advice during my stay. 👏😊 Everything I needed during my stay was there: wifi, power sockets by the bed, eating/relaxing area near reception or on the roof terrace, clean toilet and showers, and so on. For transport to the airport, I used one of the local buses in the morning (I think bus No.35), and this 15-minute journey costs just 5 dirhams.

RussiaMy bed wasn't really comfortable, was making a lot of noise while I was turning. Shower didn't have any hangers and no lockers as well.
Location is great, very close to the main square. For 2 nights it was perfectly fine. Good value for this money. And people in the hostel was nice and friendly. We had good breakfast for additional 2,5 euros.

GermanyThey should have a clearer sign outside. A kid led me to the riad after I wandered around, and asked for money :(
The riad is great, especially regarding the location (super helpful when you book tours to outside the city, or even the desert). It also has nice facilities (a rooftop place where people can sit and hang out together. The receptionists are also very friendly and helpful (I was given a cookie with a mint tea upon arrival in the evening). It's really worth the money.

United KingdomSee the last paragraph above! ☝️😂
I actually stayed 2 nights, but only 1 of them in the 4 bed dorm with bunk beds. The other dorm is also 4 beds, but the room is MUCH bigger...AND they're single beds, as opposed to bunks! Your locker is in the room too and is a lot bigger than those downstairs in the dining area, where you get a locker if you're in the dorm with bunks. For just 10 dirham a more extra it's definitely worth it! Lovely hostel, very clean, a kitchen(which many don't have) and the owners, Ousamma and Moouad, are top guys! A fabulous roof terrace, with 'Arab tent', with TV, up a metal ladder too! The only slight annoyance is the young kids playing football, in the alleyway below the dorm window. They're shouting and kicking a ball about every day, from dawn until dusk! However, the alleyways around there are the only safe place for them to play, so it's understandable and you just accept it.. 🤷♂️

PolandRoom I booked had only a little window in the bathroom. It was a bit noisy so it’s important to have earplugs. Location was very good but it was a bit difficult to find the hostel in those little streets as there was no visible signs or directions.
Good place for a short stay. clean, cosy and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff.
