I recently stayed at a camp in Merzouga, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The camp was nestled in the heart of the Sahara, surrounded by the towering dunes that seemed to stretch on forever. The highlight of the trip was definitely the camel ride through the desert at sunrise. Watching the sun slowly rise over the dunes, casting beautiful hues of orange and pink across the desert, was a moment I'll never forget. One of the most special parts of the experience was having lunch with a group of nomadic people. The food was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and hearty. The traditional dishes like tagine and couscous were expertly prepared, and it was such a unique experience to share a meal with people who have such a deep connection to the land and its history. The camp itself was cozy and comfortable, offering a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. The staff were incredibly welcoming and shared fascinating stories about the culture, lifestyle, and history of the desert. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to explore the beauty and culture of Morocco. The combination of the stunning landscapes, the chance to ride camels, and the warm hospitality of the nomadic people made it a truly magical adventure.

It is very cold during the night- bring very warm clothes for sleeping and breakfast.

Hot water, clean rooms, electricity, sand-free paths in between the tents, good food and very friendly staff- REALLY luxurious for being at a desert. Good parking place and Transport included.

Three things. First is the food. It is very basic and not very delicious, one and the same every evening and morning. Second, our second night the cats in the camp were veeeery noisy all night, i am a light sleeper, so no sleep for me. Third, it was really cold in the tents and in the restaurant in the evening, night and morning. I think gas heaters at least in the reastaurant would make it much more pleasant. But despite these slight downs, i do recommend this camp with both hands!

This camp is exactly what we were looking for. The price is like no other for what you get! It is a small and quiet camp, ideally located between two dunes. And there are plenty of dunes you can walk and climb on your own. There is enough space between the tents and to the nearby camps. The staff are polite and funny. Our trip around the area with Ibrahim as our driver was such an amazing experience! He was the best! Camels at sunset - lovely too.

Everything is included, perfect price value ratio! Nice staff who makes you feel like home. The tent is very comfortable. The food was delicious! We had a camel ride to see the sunset. To us, the camels look well treated. We liked this trip very much. This is the best place for having a real Sahara experience.

Transportation to/from the camp is by camel or Jeep and costs an additional 60 Euro per person- not a problem but need to know in advance how much cash to bring. There wasn't hot water in shower at night but there had been hot water in the sink earlier in the day.

The camel ride was nice- camels seemed well-cared-for (not underweight, no visible injuries) and were never struck by the handler like I observed with some of the other camps' camel handlers. The dinner was multiple courses- all good and they accommodated being vegetarian. Room was plenty warm at night even in January.

I recommend this beautiful place it is a wonderful place in Morocco we spent 10 days in Morocco but we spent one night here in this beautiful place and we enjoyed a lot and loved everything in this wonderful place the people are very nice and the desert views were very beautiful we rode camels we rode quad bikes , unforgettable experience.

We traveled in January, it was a little cold in the desert, desert experience was great.

Our night in the desert, we will always remember it. The camp is great, and the tents are high quality, equipped with all that you need (power, light, hot water, bed, blankets...). The hosts were very fun and kind and made sure we had a good time. we did camel riding and it was great experience, After dinner they made a fire and played for us some African music and made sure we learned to dance to it haha it was a memorable experience and there is something magical about waking up in the desert to watch the sunrise. We also did some sandboarding which was really fun, If you have chance to to visit Morocco, I recommend you to visit Merzouga.

We had 1 night in this beautiful place, The camp is great, having a bathroom in your own room makes a huge difference. There’s also outlets to charge your phone which is great as you’ll definitely want to capture your stay at such a location, Dinner and breakfast was delicious, Amazing view, highly recommended.

I recommend everyone who reads this message to spend the desert night in this camp. They are a great group of people, very cooperative and very smiling. Frankly, we loved them very much. The music playing was very enjoyable and we joked a lot into the night, Early in the morning we woke up to watch the sunrise which looked amazing in the middle of the golden sands and we enjoyed it very much, It was best experience.

I want to describe my experience in the desert but I can't describe everything it's a wonderful place at first we spent one night in the camp when we arrived they welcomed us a lot and we rode camels in the middle of the sand and enjoyed the sunrise which looked amazing with the guide Ali who was very funny and when we arrived at the camp they welcomed us with the Moroccan tea and gave us our luxurious tent with a shower and private bathroom, After dinner which was great we lit a fire and danced and joked around the camp fire and it was a great night with the sky full of stars, All the staff were very nice and wanted to help you with anything you wanted, We were very surprised during our stay in this camp. It is a camp behind the desert, far from the city, and everything is there. Frankly, we did not expect this, and we hope to visit next year.
