Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Really close to the old town. Close to restaurants, small markets and gift shops.Staff really kind. Confortable room. I will come back to Hotel Chefchaouen in the future for sure.

Everything! This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at! The staff were amazing. The hotel was very clean. Great location , The room was clean and bed was very comfortable you feel home We will definitely stay again next time when we will visit chefchaoune

I was at the room in the floor. So in these very hot days it was naturally cooled without the need of the annoying AC. In the heart of the Medina with traditional yet simple decoration, it is so close to every facility. Clean and calm for a very relaxing stay. Recommend it strongly for people passing by and wanting to make a little break to rest and continuing their journey.

The bed was hard my husband couldn’t sleep the whole night unfortunately.
Clean cosy great location at walking distance from restaurants shops. Surprisingly quiet at night. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Leaving 7 because there is too much noise and they decided to paint the front doors during the night so everything stank of it.
Nice rooms, very nice building. Very central to everything.

The room didn’t have much privacy. There were no blinds on the window (only translucent curtains), which led directly to the terrace. If people passed by, they could see inside. there was also a literal hole in the bathroom, towards the loo and shower, which had no curtains. You had to leave the bathroom door open to cover the hole
Great location, with easy access to the main squares. It was also very easy to communicate with the hotel

The reception manger was great, very friendly and he tried to fix the issue of my room (on the rooftop) being freezing cold by offering me another room.

Room comforts, bed, pillows! But, we get what we pay for, 32 eur for 4 persona! If you just sleep for the night, then it's ok!

The bathroom is a washroom style so the shower soaks everything but there wasn't a single hook or rail to hang anything off of to keep it dry. Also the room wasn't cleaned while we were there for 4 nights - it wasn't messy but the bin could have been emptied.
The location is excellent, 2 minutes off the main square, in the blue streets and next door to Cafe Clock where we had breakfast each day. The room was a good size. The gentlemen at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. There is a little terrace upstairs to relax in.

Everything was a bit old and dusty
Great location, near a very good restaurant Café Clock. Very good option for this price for a couple of nights. The personnel was very welcoming, even gave us a bigger room upon arrival

Horrible beds. Very hard and uncomfortable mattress.
Very helpful staff, he even went with us to buy water. Location is also good as it is close to the markets and square. Shower had good pressure and hot water.

A bit expensive when you consider no breakfast was provided. The room was small and the bed was like sleeping on a wooden platform.
Nice location in the Medina. Good WiFi. Great view from the small terrace.

- The stairs were steep and no elevator. Our room on the highest floor and it was really difficult to go up for elderly like my parents. - You should provide cash to pay the hotel. No card allowed. - The bathroom was really small. It was just fit our head and the hot water sometimes there or not there.
- We stayed only one night. The room for 3 persons was a bit small but still okay. We had our private bathroom and located in the 4th floor. The room was clean and neat,we got all the amenities. - The staff was really helpful and honest. He informed and helped us to find nice restaurant. - The location was a bit far from the main gate of old city. But it was in the heart of Medina and near tourist attractions.
