Dar Authentic Fes is the little cousin of Restaurant Palais Fes Yahya a neat nearby Restaurant-Hotel with beautiful interior design and architecture. Both facilities are run by the members of a local family and the dinners are cooked by the mom. Therefore the hospitality is excellent with very friendly vibes. Everyone in the stuff is ready to cover every need. The Tanjeen we ate here was THE BEST in the whole country and I'm not exaggerating. The room was big enough and comfortable, however it was in the ground floor and the smell wasn't very good. The location is inside the Medina just a few minutes walk from all the action but the establishment is hidden in an dark corner and for some that might be a bit claustrophobic. Overall, a good experience, and a very helpful staff. The boys do everything and always with a smile on their chin. 🙂

We had an absolutely unique stay! The room was super clean, beautifully furnished, well located and with a fantastic terrace. But what made our stay so unique were the hosts - they were so warm hearted and welcoming. Our stay was unforgettable thanks to Hamza, Jad and Abdul. We can also highly recommend the tours through and around the medina recommended by the hosts as well as the hammam treatment. We will never forget our stay and the hospitality. Thank you for everything!

All the brothers helped us book taxis, trips and gave us tips during our stay, they were really nice. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. We felt like home thanks to Abdul, Jad and the whole family :)

Very beautiful and clean. Amazing rooftop. The staff was super attentive and caring. It’s a family business and they all make sure you want to return again. If you need anything just ask and they will definitely help you. We had dinner and breakfast and definitely recommend the chicken with lemon and olives

We were accommodated in the adjoining property which was excellent and very beautifully adorned with art and decor. It had a rooftop restaurant and the food was excellent. The room had excellent facilities and the shower had excellent hot water.

The location of the Riad is not in the best zone I must say, and the streets to get there can get quite scary when the sun sets. But that is the case for many places in the Medina. Then small details which are not intended to be a critique but rather an invitation to further improve: some extra toilet paper would be good, as well as a small rubbish bin in the room. The last night I could not sleep at all since there was a dog barking for 5 hours straight with no breaks (no exaggeration) and you can hear everything from the window

Very kind staff and overall a good experience, especially given the very good prices they offer. A bit annoying they only accept cash though. But the whole family was very hospitable, helpful and available, also helping us arrange guided tours.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Riad for 4 nights. Nothing was too much for the staff and they were very helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a beautiful Riad to stay at in Fes, then I cannot recommend this place enough. 5 stars!!!

Even though we arrived after midnight and our flight was delayed we were kindly welcomed. Brother of the riad owner picked us up straight from the taxi and led us through the night medina. He was really attentive. In the morning, they prepared early breakfast for us - and it was delicous! The interior of Riad is truly magical.

Hosts are incredibly helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Very comfortable bed and clean room with attached bathroom. Safe place to stay and see Fes. Fabulous roof top area both open and closed(Aircon) spaces. Fantastic home cooked meals.

Very clean rooms. They are cleaned everyday. I felt safe and very welcome from all the staff. They helped me from the beginning to find my way through the Medina, suggestions for restaurants and activities. I could book guided tours and activities such as cooking classes or day trips directly with the staff with no additional fees. It made things so much easier for me. I enjoyed my stay and extended to stay another week. The restaurant is good, I’ve been working in the rooftop a lot and the view is great. This family owned restaurant and riad is very friendly. I am also impressed on how many languages they can speak ! English, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch… wow!

Amazing experience I was coming very late, and I don't have a problem checking in. The family's there. Was very nice and welcome. Ming me with Morocco, Minty. An American pastries. After that I took a very delicious dinner on the rooftop. It was the best food I had in my life. The room was very clean and nicely with Moroccan decorated. I recommend definitely staying here for anyone coming to this nice city.

Great facilities, private room, meals available for a great price. Also has great roof terrace available to relax. The family running the property were so kind and helpful with anything we needed. There was also great signage from the main area to get back to the property which was very helpful as the streets can be confusing.

Everything ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The staff were very nice, kind, cheerful and genuine. The location was in the medina, very near the main street and main attractions. The food is delicious. The room is spacious and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable and quite/calm at night. The terrace had an amazing view. Overall I highly recommend this place and will choose it again if I'm back in Fes.

The hosts were very loud in our lodge and we could hear them arguing on at least three occasions. The lads who run the place are great, however, some are perhaps a bit too enthusiastic and could learn when to step back and give their hotel and restaurant guests some breathing space. Thankfully we are young, so this was not an issue but it might prove tiresome for older travellers. We had dinner in the sister restaurant which was great, however, again there was bickering between siblings and the soft drinks were hot with no ice available.

A beautiful room in an authentic part of the maze that is the old town of Fez. An early breakfast was provided before our trip to Merzouga. A guide called Abdullah was arranged to take us around the Medina and he was with us from 10:30-16:30 and was outstandingly knowledgeable and light touch. He's a true asset and I hope the accommodation continues to utilise his services. Abdul was a great host and listened to our needs ☺️ Overall, this was a great value accommodation
