Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesThe host is really nice, he’s handsome too! This is my first time in the north of Morocco and noticed the difference between south and north Moroccans. Place is really nice so many table and chairs to hang and breakfast was amazing. Would love to go back again.

United StatesDar Dadicilef is a real gem. Really well preserved and cared for older building in the city. The room, common areas and garden are all beautiful and comfortable, you can’t help but feel peaceful and happy. The breakfast was great. The location is also great. But what makes this place really special is Abdul. He is the nicest, most genuine and good person you could ever meet. He made me and my wife feel like we were home the minute we walked in the door. Thank you Abdul for making us feel so welcome.

United StatesLoved everything about this hostel. One of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in. We booked a private room with bath. The bed was so comfortable. Very Moroccan decorated. Beautiful garden area outside. Abdule and his father were so nice. Very mild-mannered and helpful. The location was perfect, right in the medina. Nice breakfast included, served on a silver platter. I would stay here again, for sure.

United KingdomMaybe a little cold at night in winter though we were provided with a portable heater so were fine
The location is near the main entrance into the medina so very convenient to get to. It’s a lovely old building with an authentic Moroccan feel and the very nice owner was very welcoming and made it feel like a real travellers’ refuge. Excellent breakfast and nice log fire in the communal area. Great value for money. I would be glad to stay there again.

United KingdomGreat location inside the medina but away from busier areas, so it was quiet. The father and son who run it were wonderful hosts and I felt very well looked after. The fire in the evenings was a lovely touch, and the garden a peaceful oasis of calm after a busy day in the medina.

ItalyWhile the overall experience is excellent, the room could benefit from a small heater or dehumidifier to improve comfort, especially during cooler or humid periods.
Dar Dadicilef offers an authentic and welcoming stay in an excellent location within the medina, making it perfect for exploring the city, with exceptional hospitality from Abdou and his father who go above and beyond to assist guests. The breakfast is delicious, and the room features beautiful traditional decor that preserves the classic style. The hosts' attentiveness and readiness to help make the experience particularly special.

United StatesThe place is so beautifully decorated. You'll be astonished. The people are all respectful and go out of their way to make sure everyone is comfortable. They let me keep my bags in the building even though I checked out 4 hours earlier. Breakfast is extensive and very delicious (served 9-11am). It included crumbed butter, goat cheese, fried egg, bread, oil, jam, coffee, mango juice. Theres a nice backyard garden, and they make a fire at night in the common area inside the building. And this was all for 11 euros for one night...

SwitzerlandThe only thing I would say on this side is that our room (which was very beautiful!) had no windows, so no daylight.
Excellent communication and very nice staff! Abdo organised a driver to pick us up at the port of Tanger, and gave us good advice where to have dinner in Chefchaouen. He and his father are lovely people, they did everything to make us feel comfortable. The building is a beauty, and the rooftop is really nice. Also the location is perfect. It's in the centre of the old town, and not too far away from the new town. It can get a little cold in winter – but they have a chimney and would make a fire every evening.

Best thing about the property is the gorgeous family who run it. Very kind and friendly. Perfect location in the old Medina. You have to get a taxi from the bus station, but once you arrive you are walking distance from everything. Very clean and comfortable, included breakfast was delicious.
