Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

IndiaWe booked Riad Dar Elma and got a room in Riad Bagama (which is owned by the same people). Wish that would have been communicated to us in the beginning. The location was a little dingy, but that was with all riads in general.
If you'd like a traditional riad experience, this is the one! Beautiful Riad in the old city of Marrakesh. As known about Morocco, hospitality was absolutely fantastic. Lovely breakfast spread. The staff was amazing and always helpful, at all times. Clean and simple rooms. Big enough for 2 people. Walking distance to all the nearby attractions and you can easily get a cab outside.

United KingdomRiad is tucked away down a narrow and somewhat uninviting alley (graffiti etc..) which might put some people off. However we did not feel unsafe there at all and locals were lovely.
Comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice and ample breakfast. Good general location for reaching most places of interest in the medina and for Jardin Marjorelle which was 10 minutes outside the medina.

GermanyAlmost nothing. The way to the Riad is hidden which can feel scary, but everything was safe. There a no windows going outside of the building in the rooms which makes it less private, but all ok.
Super clean rooms Very delicious breakfast (and the Dinner also Looks very nice, we did not have the time to try it) Very nice people with a great service and good recommendations

United KingdomHonestly, nothing!
Great location, close to all of the central sites but in a quiet road away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were amazing, incredibly friendly and keen to help with info/tips about Marrakech. We had a great time chatting to Jamal and Karim during our stay. We were contacted by Khalid before arriving, who offered to book us some activities and treatments at the spa, and he sorted everything out for us which was amazing. Great communication throughout. The room was exceptionally clean and comfy, and the facilities were small but well equipped.

United KingdomActually it’s not about the property it’s about the city. It has labyrinth walking ways and it’s difficult to find your way to the riad something. Because google maps also has problems about finding the right path
Rooms have authentic atmosphere, and hotel is clean and Abdulfettah(the staff) was so nice and helpful

United KingdomIt’s strange that there is no tele in the room or it might be the usual condition in a Riad
It’s our first time to experience the “Riad” and we may say it’s good. Staff were friendly especially Sana and Abdel very helpful and accommodating

United KingdomThe wifi needs a booster for the upper floor. The walk from the square to the riad itself (guided if you book your transfer with the riad, which I recommend!) can be upsetting for a first time visitor to Marrakech: often dirty with beggars asking for money. This is NOT unique to this riad, but just a note for first-timers!
The staff went above and beyond on several occasions to make our stay easy and comfortable. It's a quiet and intimate riad with only 4 guest rooms, but the meals we had were great and it was very easy to get to a small square where you can get a taxi to anywhere, meet your tour bus, or walk into the souks. I can't say enough about the friendly staff. I felt like family.

NetherlandsWe had some troubles, the first day to arrive as google maps didn’t drop us at the exact point. In turned out to be easy in the end (turning to the right on the first street after the dropping point and walk from where we were drop with the taxi). It was our first accommodation in Morocco and were not used to these tiny streets. Later we found out that it was normal and it the laberyntic streets are part of it and its charm. But if it is your first time (in Morocco) make sure you arrive at day time. People in the street might want to help you out and ask you for a tip. You can also just really try yourself and be patient.
Atmosphere. Very authentic and Moroccan style. Friendly staff. Very good value for money. The staff also helped us to have an early breakfast to make it for our trip to the desert.

United KingdomIt was close to the epicentre of Marrakech; walkable to the famous attractions but still has the relaxed, cozy ambiance as the riad is situated away from crowded areas. The facilities were good and offered value for money. The staff were very helpful even before arriving in the property they were willing to help by responding to queries. And during my stay they all made me feel comfortable, attended to and ‘pampered!’

United KingdomIt is one of the smaller Riads which worked for us as a couple who wanted a nice relaxing holiday with some peace and quiet but also were able to get out to the town and market in a quick 5-10 minute walk.
Comfortable and cozy. Jamal who looked after us was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. He gave excellent advice on where to go and what to see and was quick to offer help and took the initiative. Even when we missed breakfast time he still ensured that it was freshly prepared for us out of hours which he didn’t need to do. Definitely would recommend.

United KingdomI can’t say anything bad about this place at all. One night, our shower ran out of hot water. I thought the water was shut off because it was really late when I decided to shower (12am). We told Jamal the next morning and he was incredibly helpful offering me another room to shower in the meantime and called the technician to fix it the same day. By the time we came back from our market adventures later that day, the hot water was back again! Very grateful for the way he handled everything.
This property was so beautiful, quiet and serene amidst the hustle and bustle of the old markets. My fiancé and I booked this trip for his 30th birthday and they went above and beyond to make his birthday super special, decorating the room, the dinner package, everything was perfection and they got him a cake to top it off! We wanted to explore the old town and souks, and the walk into the markets was super quick (less than 5 minutes at most). Jamal, the chefs, the guys who stayed the night shift - all the staff were absolutely incredible! Very very friendly, attentive and answered any questions or queries we had throughout our stay. They were very knowledgeable on the local areas and best things to do whilst we were there. I would stay here in a heart beat again and gutted we didn’t get time to utilise the spa more! I think next time we will definitely want to use the spa and book a hot air balloon trip as well. Another thing - the food. WOW. The quality was unbelievable. The breakfast and dinner was unmatched. Every day we were so excited to see what was served for breakfast. I am a coffee snob and this coffee was incredible.

HungaryThe location is not the best. It is a bit difficult to find, Google is not a help. There is no indication on the street as other Riads. Also the small alley is a bit scary however we did not have any bad experience.
The Riad is really nice, clean, well decorated. Breakfast was excellent. Service and staff were excepcional. Bed was comfy. We also had a massage that also was really good.
