Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Bathroom was not that clean. They did not change towels, and refill toilete paper.
Good location, staff was very very friendly, and helpfull. Room was very warm for december.

Nothing - everything was amazing.
Officially my home in Marrakech :) Thank you to Alice, Mouha, Mohammed at the wonderful team at Riad Alice for always welcoming me and looking after me. Thank you also for helping me organise activities and beauty treatments at the Riad. The refurbishments look so beautiful - a lot of work goes into making the Riad so amazing. I had another wonderful stay, and cannot wait to return.

I only wish I had longer to stay, the riad was perfect!
Beautiful riad with absolutely wonderful staff. Great communication through booking.com ahead of time and arranged transfer from the airport making our arrival smooth. Walkable to anything in the Medina. Restaurant serves delicious Tajine.

I had a wonderful stay at this riad that provided a home-like atmosphere where I felt at ease and content. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking comfort, safety, and relaxation. The hotel staff were accommodating, friendly, and went out of their way to assist us with our bags and other needs. The room was clean and cozy, and I appreciated the complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and excursion assistance. Overall, I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience at this riad.

The staff and owner (Taoufik, Moha and Alice) were all very friendly and helpful- helping us more easily find nearby parking, arranging spa treatments, and recommending restaurants.

- The beds were not the most comfortable - It's very close to a mosque, and there is chanting every night at 5am, which woke us up every night

We booked a "junior suite with terrace": we thought it was more spacious (a bit too small for four friends, it's perfect for a family) and with a private terrace.
Clean and well-kept riad with a terrace where the breakfast is served. Perfect location at 10/15 minutes from almost any place of interest by foot. Enviable staff: they have always satisfied our requests (...and there have been many). I absolutely recommend it.

Going to the location through tut wasn’t very accurate, and we didn’t find at the first time.
The staff were extremely kind and helpful. the location was very good. The terrace was amazing place to relax. The staff was very kind to make us dinner after we got late to the Riad.

Pretty small family room but OK for 1 night. Very basic breakfast (no fresh stuff)
Nice location (if you arrive by car, there is a car park close to the hotel). All central attractions can be reached on foot.

be aware: no extra shower. if you shower, the whole bathroom is wet. for us it was totally fine.
super friendly staff, very welcoming and not pushy to sell any ad-ons, nice location (not directly in the city centre so less traffic and less noise which is perfect), 24/7 service, breakfast on the rooftop
