Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWe had a lovely time at Dar Labchara. It’s a beautiful family owned Riad that is located perfectly inside the Medina and serves a delicious maroccain breakfast everyday. The help and dedication of our host Mohammed exceeded expectations! He was so helpful and kind and made our time in Fez very special. We couldn’t have asked for more! Thanks a lot!

Exceptional care of Mohamed. Honestly, the experience he brings deserves more than this price. He help you pay the good price for everything and avoid people asking you tourist money. Comfortable bed and clean sheets.

ItalyThe Riad is wonderful, in a very central location in the hearth of the Medina. Every ambient is tastefully decorated, with cozy rooms and equipped bathrooms. What my group enjoyed the most was the company of Mohammed: the warmest and most caring host we’ve ever met, who made us feel at home straight away, taking care of all our necessities and taking every extra step to make sure our experience was wonderful. He ensured that we tasted the local delicacies, carefully choosing various breakfast options, arranging for the best local guide for our tour, advising us on the acceptable price range for souvenirs and services, helping us with reservations, taxi rides and more! Mohammed, it was really a gift meeting you! Chiara, Valentina, Leonora

United StatesNo negative comments, we treasured our stay at Dar Labchara.
The location was perfect, 200 meters or so into the Medina. We had easy access to explore the Medina and to get outside the Medina. The two rooms were spacious and ideal for our family. Communication was easy with the staff. Muhammad was great, he met us at the train station, arranged luggage ferry service for us, helped us set up a Moroccan cooking class and a Hammam, connected us with specific vendors in the Medina for various wares, made great suggestions for places to eat that were not touristy, arranged travel for us to Chefchoauen, took us to the tile factory, and gave us a quick tour to orient ourselves when we arrived. The breakfast each morning was delicious and one morning Muhammad got us soup.

ItalyOur bed was very hard, I suggest to change the matress; the bathroom of our room needs a total renovation and general maintenance due to sticks from plumbings and no ventilation that generates mold and humidity
The best aspect of this Riad is Mohammed; he is very welcoming and kind and he always tries to help. The Riad is a very beautiful and ancient building with a little bit decadent atmosphere.

ItalyWe liked everything. It is a riad so not so much natural light in the room, but this is normal for riads, however there is a nice terrace to enjoy a view and the sun.
We liked a lot the helpfull staff, location and breakfast. First of all, we arrived really late (almost at 1 AM) because of some issues with the car rental at the airport and it was surprisingly easy to find (we figured out later that this is not the case for other places in Fes). The staff was really nice and despite our late arrival agreed to serve us early breakfast (at 7:30 AM). The breakfast was amazing. Also, we were recommended a very nice tour guide, Abidin! So we had good time exploring Fes and learning about its customs and culture. Thanks a lot for everything!

Dar Labchara was centrally located within the Medina which was perfect for exploring some of the main attractions within the Medina itself(max 20 mins away in any given direction). Muhammad was incredibly attentive, accommodating, and willing to ensure our stay and experience was exceptional. The entirety of the accommodations were clean, well organized and felt honey even tho we were thousands of kms from home. The breakfast we were provided each morning was more than fulfilling and tasty! It defiantly kept us sustained throughout the entire day as we were present during Ramadan.

GreeceThe room where we stayed was the only one that was dark without enough windows to the Dar, which made it have a closed-room smell. Toilet also had no ventilation which made it even worse. Mohammed was very helpful and suggested some restaurants/stores, however Fes has a lot more to offer and you should explore more on your own.
Location was great, the dar is also located in the medina of Fez but hidden enough to be tranquille from the hustle of the medina. Very nice decoration and Mohammed, the Dar keeper, was always attentive to us giving all sort of advice. Breakfast was also quite rich and tasty.

Saudi ArabiaCash only on the desk :) be ready for this or pay in advance. They will ask you to nock the outside door every time you want to get in (wasn’t comfortable). keep in mind there is no soundproof ( like any other Riad). Many stairs to take (not special needs’ friendly).
The room was spacious, clean and has special vibes. The breakfast was decent. The location in the old madinah,. The hotel sent us awareness about the scammers there which was helpful.
