We had mild warm showers which was a little set back.

Our favourite stay in all of our Morocco trip. They have thought about everything to make your stay comfortable! The breakfast is amazing. The rooms are spacious and the pool and views on the rooftop are awesome!

The riad is beautiful! It presents really new, has modern design features and is very clean. On arrival, we were given a tour of the property including restaurant, pool area, rooftop etc. it was super comprehensive. There is an in house hammam and spa, we each had a massage which was really good and well priced.

Rooms were fairly small but that wasn’t a problem at all.

Beautiful decor with helpful staff who were very accommodating. Great location (only a short walk from the main Medina streets and car drop off point) with a fantastic breakfast full of pastries, fresh fruit and vegetables etc. We appreciated the filtered water available. Rooms were naturally warm in the cooler winter weather.

What’s not to like. Part of the allure is finding your way to the riad through the maze of alleyways in the old city.

This is a jewel in the old city. Extremely intimate atmosphere with privacy. Furniture, appliances, beds, and the shower are all designed to welcome guests. No detail was spared. Enjoyed the breathtaking view from the pool followed by the sumptuous breakfast. My kids loved the variety of options that catered to local and international tastes.

The accommodation I was given this time was a bit smallish, which was somewhat inconvenient as I had to do some work. Perhaps it is worth investing the extra money to get a larger room.

I have already visited (and reviewed) this delightful riad in the past. It is a great find, right in heart of the medina, with tasteful decor and exclenet and helpful staff. Very good value for money, highly recommended.

It took me a while to figure out the safe, the poor staff had to keep resetting it for me, but that was more human error on my behalf.

Property is very clean, open spaces, beautiful views from roof, and located right near the oudaya. I had high expectations and they were beat. We booked hammam and massages and had an incredible experience. The staff at Dar Shaan really go above and beyond to ensure you have a memorable stay. So glad that we chose Dar Shaan for our stay.

Well situated for sightseeing. Amazing building, decorated to a very high standard. Breakfast had a good choice of foods with amazing cakes. Staff were exceptionally helpful and contributed to make our visit to Rabat very enjoyable.

Nothing could have been better.

Dar Shâan is perfectly situated to explore the interesting city of Rabat. You are right inside the Medina with lots of nice eateries, cafes and small shops but as well close to all the sights, city centre, tram stops. The welcome to the Dar was extremely friendly. The Dar itself is gorgeous, very well maintained and immaculately clean. My room was very comfy and in my bed I slept like in heaven. I did not use the pool on the roof but this is a nice bonus, very much so for kids. I loved it that there were wonderful books available and sitting outside my room and looking at those books was great. Breakfast was fantastic. It was allegedly served from 8:00 am. On the day of my departure I sneaked to the breakfast room at 7:30 in the hope to grab a quick coffee as I had to leave early for my train - and the whole breakfast was already served! That was so lovely. The nice woman even hurried to pour me fresh orange juice. The entire staff was just wonderful and so, so nice. Every night they brought me a glass of tasty Moroccan white wine up to my room on the top floor. I would defo recommend staying at Dar Shâan while visiting Rabat.

Not really had something I disliked

The inner design of the riyad is magnificent. They installed a lift inside the riyad and it was amazing. They place their restaurant at the proper spot, and the rooftop is sensuously? organised.
