We loved the interior deco (it felt like we were in Morocco) and had the traditional vibes. The room was really spacious, super clean, tidy and very comfortable. The host (specially Youness) was very friendly and helpful, and went out of his way to provide us with good locations for sightseeing and eating traditional dishes. They also made sure that we got our breakfast early since we had to leave early for Chefchaouen. In addition, when we requested to check out a bit later since our train was late in the afternoon, they were quite accommodating. Therefore, we got more quality time to spend at the Tangier beach as well.

The bathroom floor is tiled, but there is no grip on the floor at all - I nearly slipped over a few times - this is dangerous.

Good location, right in the medina and next to the Kasbah. Staff are helpful pre-arrival over WhatsApp arranging your arrival .

My room was on the top floor, ok for me, but not recommended for those who aren't steady on the feet or with a lot of luggage. There are some street noises of course, but it is not in the noisiest streets of the Medina

This property is in the medina; so narrow streets, lots of activity, and hustle and bustle. The property feels safe and is well managed. The breakfast is typical Moroccan. The manager Youness is very helpful and attentive and contactable on WhatsApp.

In December, our room was a little cold, since there are some windows that could not be closed. Fortunately, plenty of warm blankets were provided.

The owner was very helpful and spoke excellent English. The guesthouse and room were beautiful and clean and decorated in the traditional Moroccan style. A nice free breakfast was served at 9 am. The location is great, inside the old medina and very near to the Kasbah.

There is no drinking water in the room or at the reception, you need to ask the hotel administrator. It's cold in the morning.

The Bathroom would greatly benefit from a ventilation system. Maybe some sound-proof windows in the bedroom too. Otherwise, the facilities are excellent!

We had a wonderful stay at the Dar. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for two people. The location is on a residential street in the Medina and just a few minutes walk from shops, great restaurants, and sightseeing. Youness is a wonderful and accommodating host. We used the same-day laundry service and airport taxi which were great additional offerings. Highly recommend staying here.

We arrived on a week when kids had a week off from school. There was much yelling, and carrying on until at least 11pm from the family next door, but this is not likely the case when the kids are in school. Thankfully, we brought ear plugs!

I can’t recommend this place enough. Both Tangier and Dar Sharif are 10/10. The location was great, it was clean, good price and included breakfast. Youness even had me a surprise birthday party for me ❤️ we went to the rooftop to have a nice afternoon with his friends and my family. As for tangier, I really recommend it. Always felt super safe and everyone was very friendly. I’d say staying in the Medina is by far the best way to experience it

Super comfortable place to stay in the Old Medina of Tangier, everything you want to see in Tangier is in a short walking distance. Everything was pristine and lovely, and Youness (both!) were very helpful and friendly. Great hosts to welcome you to Tangier and to Morocco! Youness even arranged to have a taxi at the train station for me when I arrived which I really appreciated, and also gave me some pointers on what to see in Tangier based on my interests/profession. The breakfast was really good and it was also fun to take it up to the roof and enjoy the view with a coffee or tea. Highly recommend! When I come back to Tangier I would easily stay here again. Thanks again guys for a great experience!

There was nothing that I did not like, but advising travelers who want to stay longer inside the room, this might not be the choice for you... this hotel is for those travelers who want to explore the city from within! Right at the heart of the Old Medina... Extra advice: When you walk towards the hotel, you might think you are in the wrong direction, you're not, just keep going!

Dar Sharif is not only a hotel, but it is a marocain experience... The staff is incredibly helpful, will go to great lengths to try to help with anything you need The rooms are cozy... and bathroom, the most beautiful I have seen in a hotel
