Beautiful antique-filled place, very well run. Nedya was welcoming and hospitable and very generous with her time and we had excellent breakfasts and a delicious home-cooked meal. The two cats Safi and Yasmina made it even more enchanting. I would definitely stay again as it made a stay in Tangiers so memorable.

The stairways are steep and a few bedrooms are up on the 4th and 5th floor.

Dar Sultan is a delightful small Riad, well located and staffed by individuals who go out of their way to be accommodating. My friends and I were there for a couple of nights this past January and Nadia - the manager - arranged for us to have dinner at the Riad one evening when we opted to stay in.

Really beautiful property, artfully & eclectically decorated. Easy to find - very close to Kasbah gate. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived very late (after 11pm) due to a missing suitcase but were warmly greeted with mint tea. We had the rooftop room with private terrace which had stunning views of the city, the beach, harbour and Spain. I was unwell and couldn’t make it to breakfast. The staff insisted on bringing breakfast (ample and delicious) up to the rooftop.

When I arrived we were welcomed with a smile and kindness. The staff are very friendly and professional. Delicious breakfasts. Wednesday night Cous Cous, a real taste of Morocco. The feeling was being in a home not a hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

Beautifully decorated in local style. The staff are wonderfully attentive and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, helping with recommendations, shopping, transport. In picturesque surroundings in the heart of the Old Medina. Delicious breakfast and a special three course dinner one evening. Nadia and her team are a delight.

The bedroom is a bit cramped and the bathrooms are not ventilated.

The riyad is an old, very well maintained property. It is centrally located in the old town and is to navigate. The staff are welcoming, courteous and treat you individually and look after you well. A cheerful and aesthetically pleasing ambiance with a touch of luxury at a good price. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dar Sultan and will recommend it to friends and family.

Dar Sultan exceeded our expectations as the staff made us feel so welcome and comfortable with every attention to detail. Well located in the heart of the medina, the interior decor of Dar Sultan is uniquely Moroccan and there are beautiful features to look at in every corner. The breakfast is a sumptuous collection of healthy fruits, breads and cooked eggs which gave us a wonderful start to a day exploring the fascinating historical city of Tangier.

Exactly as advertised. Great location and wonderful rooms and very clean. Enormous breakfasts, the fresh vegetables and breads were so delicious. Excellent stay and would only stay there in Tangier again. Staff was sweet and extremely helpful.

We loved our room, which was on the top floor...however, it was on the top floor...many many stairs. (The staff handled our suitcases - still, it was quite a climb.) That said, I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. It was wonderful.

Amazing breakfasts on a terrace overlooking the city. Excellent staff. Unique decor - a true riad with authentic features and art. Way exceeded our expectations.

Dar Sultan is just a wonderful Riad to stay in. The room was very comfortable and like the whole Riad decorated with some amazing Moroccan artefacts. Breakfast up on the terrace was delicious as was a wine in the late afternoon. But the big standout was the staff, so friendly and accommodating. Thankyou Ahmed and the Dar Sultan Team.😎
