Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomDO NOT EAT OVER HERE. My 18 month old baby got serious gastroenteritis and we had to take her to a hospital in a foreign country which scared the hell out of us. We got to know she got gastroenteritis from something she ate. we straight away knew it was from here as their food hygiene standards were disgusting! 1) bird poop on eating tables and they didn't clean it up when asked instead just placed the food tray on top. 2) dead fly in the bottle of salad dressing. 3) bugs crawling on restaurant and reception sofas. 4) disgusting kitchen when I went to find someone to heat water for the baby's formula. 5) cat feces around the restaurant and places to eat. 5) spitted out seeds in our olive condiments. 6) swimming pool was green 7) gave us bread fallen on the floor that had ants, earth, grass, cat feces in places etc (didnt bother getting new) and God knows how many times they gave us leftover food like this and even if they had swapped the bread I wouldn't trust them (for all you know they could bring the same one back)... from all this, you can imagine what their standards are when cooking food. The staff was sweet and friendly but you could tell they did not have basic hygiene training/understanding and it wasn't taken seriously. Needs inspection if wants to continue running and the inspector needs to go undercover and stay there for a couple of days but eat somewhere else

Moroccowe were offered a room on the ground floor with construction works going on on 1st floor. too much dust which caused me an allergy. lucky that it was fixed the following day by getting another room. the room was ok but no hot water for showering; the Air conditioning not working and no internet. the electricity went off and spent the night without electricity. we asked for an early breakfast in the room as it is Ramadan. we were advised that the staff in charge of the kitchen cannot make the breakfast for us and were offered a very poor cold breakfast at around 2 o'clock am which was not consumable. a complaint was made to the owner then the breakfast issue was fixed the following day with the coming of a group of Turkish nationals who required early breakfast as we did and we managed to have an average decent breakfast this time. forget about a swim as the swimming water looks green due to the water not being handled/treated. A lady working there seems to be exhausted as working all day long and night. not good for customer service as she needs to have a rest to be able to respond when needed. She is everywhere in the kitchen, at the reception, making up the rooms, etc... we were not advised that the lodge has an issue with accepting credit cards and were obliged to pay in cash. we asked for a receipt and an invoice from the lady who said that the owner will prepare it for us on our departure day. he never did. we asked him to provide the invoice, he apologized that he does not have the stamp that day in the reception and promised to send it by email or WhatsApp. again he NEVER DID though I kept sending him reminders for over 3 weeks now. the worst thing is that the lodge owner did not honor his word or what he advertises on booking.com. it s a shame for Morocco that tries to welcome 30 million tourists as per its 2030 tourist vision announced by the king. staff and owner MUST be trained on customer service ethics
the location is very good though there is no well-paved road. we arrived late to Ouarzazate and managed to find our way thanks to Waze application. the place is calm but has some issues to be fixed like the salted water, the AC, and the swimming pool.

United KingdomIt is difficult to find through rough roads in a suburb of Ouarzazate and the advice to download maps.me was invaluable. The journey across stony ground probably requires a vehicle suitable for the terrain not a 4x4 jeep but not a small family car either. The heating is solar powered. It only comes on at 8pm for 2 hours. Consequently by 10 the room is getting cold and in the morning it was below 4c. (Ice on the car). Solar eco is laudable but not if it makes the guests very uncomfortable. We came to the lodge as birdwatchers drawn by the famous lake and booked a "lake view" room. There is no lake and clearly hasn't been one for some time judging by the vegetation across the landscape. Wi-Fi was very poor and intermittent. The lodge was unable to take cards and we had to drive to the town following a moped and hand him 1000 dhs withdrawn from a bank at extra expense.
The staff were great. Ibrahim did everything to make the stay good. The eco ethos is to be applauded and the huge bed and bathroom were very good. The room was decorated in traditional berber style and the lodge is very quiet and peaceful.

BelgiumThe pool was green and not cleaned at all. The water is not refreshed at all and is surely full of bacteria ect, we did not go in (neither did any one else when we were there). Wifi only available in the restaurant and 5 meters outside of it and even then it's not amazing. For preassure and hot water from the shower you first have to ask. It gets fixed immediately but still annoying. I get that, because of eco values, you only activate it a short time but communicate with exact hours those timespans and all is well.
Very quite location, away from everything Nice garden as well to find your peace and the rooms were very good as well. Mohammed helped us with all the questions we had and was very friendly.

DenmarkThe air conditioning only worked for a few hours a day due to running off a generator as the property is not connected to the electric grid. The sheets were a little old/worn. The breakfast service was a bit slow as they didn't have enough staff working for the number of guests. The dinner was fairly poor value and much better could be had elsewhere for the same price.
The location was beautiful and really felt like an oasis in the desert as there was nothing for about 500m around the property in one direction and looking out from the pool/garden it was barren as far as you could see. The pool was really nice and looked amazing at night. The breakfast was always more than enough food.

NetherlandsWe were unlucky as to have ants in our bed and although the staff was on it and changed our bed sheets a few times, the issue didn't come from the sheets and wasn't therefore resolved. Although the owner promised us the best tagine in the world, we were slightly dissappointed as it lacked vegetables.
Great oasis of rest outside Ouarzazate with very friendly staff and a beautiful green garden. The rooms are large and comfortable with a cute tea area.
