Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomFirst off, directions are rubbish. A souk owner had to direct me. Directions given through Booking want you to be able to walk through walls. Cats from the street were constantly let in to freely roam over guests beds and belongings. Arrived to a cat on my bed. After leaving and coming back another cat was on my bed. I know cats are respected animals in Moroccan culture but none of these stray cats are taken care of and most likely all have diseases/parasites. Couldn't get a decent night's sleep because I was conscious of cats being in the room. No socket by my bed but other beds did. Leaks in the reception area. Showers always cold. Taps and flush wouldn't even work during the night. Doors wouldn't close properly. No lock boxes so a lack of security. I had to ask for a key to get into the building several hours after checking in. That key didn't work so when I came back around 10pm I knocked for over ten minutes. Nobody answered the door. I called the property owner who had to call reception, who wasn't even there! He was somewhere else entirely. He appeared behind me as another guest let me in. I was originally booked for 3 nights. I left after 2 and moved on to the next city as I felt I had to get out of Fes due to this place. Almost ruined my experience of the city and medina.
Honestly, nothing at all

United KingdomToilets blocked and flooded with waste going everywhere on the first floor, same thing happened on the second day, after the first night I ended up catching a stomach bug, cant say for sure that it was connected with the human waste coming from the blocked drains, that was left for a long time before getting fixed. Not very well maintained with lots of broken things up on the terrace.
The guy running the place is excellent.

MoroccoThe hostel is in a good spot in old Medina, the terrace is my favourite place to chill with a view of the Old Medina from a different angle. The staff are amazing, Adam and Houssam are always doing more than they could to make the guests happy. I had planned to stay there for 3 nights, but ended up spending 3 weeks.

The manager Khalid was very helpful. Got us the extra blankets, ordered us the needed taxis and even helped us carry our stuff all the way from& to the taxi spot at 12pm& 3 am in the morning. The place is close by the main road where u can find all the stores and attractions. All the while it is very quiet.

DenmarkThe room shown on booking was not the room I received. The room I was staying in had very poor sound isolation. This was because one of the "walls" was just wood panel and faced the reception area. The bathroom had a gap in the ceiling which meant all noise from the alley came through. Very frustrating at night and in the morning.
The staff were kind and the breakfast was great.

United KingdomThe hostel is in a central place in the Medina close to eateries, Bab Boujloud, and within walking distance to the main attractions whilst also being hidden from the noise because it's down a small lane which is well lit at night and quite safe. The rooms are a good size and mine had an ensuite so it was quite a good deal. The managers Ahmed and Yusuf were quite hospitable and we became friends quite fast, often chilling together on the roof terrace at night so they're very welcoming and willing to help in whatever way they can to make your stay enjoyable (I need a glass and some cutlery which they lent me from the kitchen) and often gave me food, drinks, tea etc in addition to help planning trips around fes and Morocco in general. All round 10/10 for hospitality! And all whilst being super affordable. It has made my stay in Fès quite memorable.

AustraliaThe streets of Fez can be quiet but the hostel is down a quiet side street between Talaa Kabira and Talaa Seghira.
We stayed here for 10 days and LOVED this place! Youssef and Ahmed are knowledgeable and very friendly. The location is perfect and easy to find- we took arrived by bus from the train station. Head to Bab Boujloud (Blue Gate) then walk down Talaa Seghira, look for the white and red Fes Home Hostel signs and follow the arrows :) We loved relaxing on the beautiful rooftop and we cooked some delicious meals in the kitchen. We look forward to returning!

I had a great stay at Fes Hostel Home. The location is inside the Medina and all the key sights are very close. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hostel also has a rooftop with a great view of the medina. I would stay here again when in Fes.

BelarusWe arrived to listen that room is not available. I chose this accommodation because it has option 24 hours reception, I sent them expected arrival time in advance and received their confirmation via booking.com. And when I arrived he said that room is not available and we arrived too late. We were left alone in the medina at late night without place to live. This object should not be at booking.com, I used to rely on booking.com, and this was awful experience
