Situated amongst the orchards of the Ait Bouguemez valley this little haven is the perfect spot to stay and use as a base to explore the area. The hospitality is second to none with friendly service along with plentiful breakfast and delicious home cooked dinner. The rooms are comfortable and the showers hot. If you want to step back in time and see unspoilt countryside inhabited by a people living and working as they did 50 years ago, this is the place for you

    Nothing at all.

Literally everything. Great location. Away from any noise. Just next to beautiful orchards in this lovely Happy Valley. The food was excellent and plentiful. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We would have liked to have stayed longer. It was really nice to feel that it was a house shared with the host family. A great ambiance.

This has been our best stay in Morocco. The guest house is located in the middle of the wonderful valley of Ait Bougemmez. The view from the terrace is amazing. The building is made out of traditional materials and is therefore naturally fresh inside (air conditioning really not needed at all). We stayed four days and could made amazing long hikes on our own thanks to the suggestions of the owner and his brother. Great breakfast and delicious dinner!!!

Initially the access road is a bit confusing. Could use a little extra signposting to guide visitors to the property.

Location is amazing. Not touristy. Stunning landscape. Excellent hosting, plentiful delicious food. Fresh ingredients from the garden. Fire in the evenings. Very very reasonably priced. Friendly. Welcoming.

It's a little bit hard to find, you have to go down a grit road for a few minutes from the main road.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The boy gave us a free tour of local sights and wouldn't take money for it. The Riad is in a very quiet location next to a small river, great to have dinner outside.

Nothing - but be aware that you have to cross about 1 km of stony dirt track to reach the house and have to drive carefully (that's the price you pay for the seclusion). Difficult to find the first time, so make sure you have the host's phone number with you.

A beautifully refurbished old house in the valley, a bit detached from the village, with a terrace surrounded by orchards and spectacular mountains. Enjoying the views in the quiet, with just birds singing, is a comfort to the soul. The hosts are friendly and generous - after we arrived a day late because of car trouble, they let us stay a day longer without extra payment (the room had not been booked for that day) and helped us with rearranging our onward schedule. They also cook very tasty Moroccan food that you can order in advance (except breakfast, which is included in the price).

Couldn't find it, but google map's is almost right , just keep following the red paint signs on the rocks as you keep going on the dirt path

We booked this super late in the day and the guy there was exceptional, nothing was an issue, very comfortable, made a great meal, beds so warm and comfortable, made us extremely comfortable

By far our favorite place and the highlight of our trip to Morocco. Mohammad and Ibrahim are the most genuine, hospitable and generous hosts we came across. The location is gorgeous, with walking paths to the villages and mountains around. The room is comfy, and the best part of the day was to finish it with an incredible dinner next to the fire place. We ended up extending our stay and will definitely come back. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

Amazing Gite in the valley with wonderful hosts and great terrace for sunrise yoga and afternoon tea

Just a not that the Gite is hard to find and down several long and windy dirt and gravel roads with several twists and turns. It is NOT labeled and did not come up on GPS for us. I do not recommend trying to find it in the dark. Luckily, everyone along the dirt road knows where Gite Imarin is and we just had to ask for directions from the villagers on the road along the way in order to find the place. We had a little rental car and bottomed out serval times. Even knowing that I would still stay at Gite Imarin because I liked it that much!!

WOW! What a beautiful location and wonderful gite, with amazing staff. Mohamed and his brother are so nice, helpful, and caring folks. The valley is breathtaking and the hike in the valley is wonderful. I highly recommend it. Mohamed got us a guide and it was worth it, as the trail is a little tricky and overgrown. The food is fantastic!!!! And the service is top-notch. At night the sky is covered with stars, almost like you see out in the desert! The sunrise on the terrace is so peaceful. I did yoga every morning on the terrace and it was excellent, watching the donkeys go by, carrying grass on their backs, storing up for the winter. All the villages in the valley are neat to explore and we had tea with the folks in one of the villages on our tour. It was a great cultural experience! I highly recommend a visit to Gite Imarin to rest and restore and see a new way of life!!

The place is cold. I got a really small heater. Getting there is a nightmare, dirt roads, waiting for sheep to pass. In the end I was charged 10 usd for a soup and tajine.

The staff is nice and friendly.

A good basic lodging in the middle of an extraordinary landscape
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveler
    • Standard Triple Room
    • Stayed 3 nights

One should be prepared to drive by a stony dirt road across the valley to Gite Imarin. Locals are very helpful in showing the way. There is a signpost for Gite Imarin on the main road, but easily overlooked as the colours are yellow and light blue - a more prominent signpost would be helpful. There is also a little longer but not so steep dirt road leading to the house.

GIte Imarin is a rather modern house in the apple tree plantation. The interior design is simple as you see in most riads or gites in this isolated valley high in the mountains. A base for walking tours or trekking. Breakfast and dinner is cooked by the owner and are plentiful. The area deserves at least two or three days to be appreciated
