We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

SwitzerlandOur room was on the ground floor, though it doesn't get heated up during the day, it was damp and smelly. Next time, i'd ask for a room on one of the upper floors. Also it didn't get cleaned.
The staff is very friendly in this little riad close to the Jemaa el-Fnaa. The inner courtyard is nicely decorated and on the rooftop is a jaccuzi. Breakfast was rich and tasty, served on the rooftop.

United KingdomNo complaints at all. There's often a bit of noise in the room – a little from outside, plus from other guests moving about in the central courtyard. It's just a feature of staying in a riad in the medina. We like an earlier night than most and it didn't stop us sleeping, but just beware if you're a very light sleeper!
The staff at l'Heure d'Été are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for them and everything ran extremely smoothly – transfers, meals, etc. Definitely take the riad up on the offer of a meal. You might pay a little more than you would at a restaurant (€22pp = roughly 220MAD), but we had a totally private three-course dinner on the rooftop – just us, the chef, and a server – and the food was exceptional. Very definitely worth the experience. When we had the shutters closed, our room was pitch black. Made for a fantastic night's sleep. Location is perfect, very central, close to everything you could want as a tourist. Very easy to find too – it's only just off a couple of main streets through the medina and Google Maps had no issue with routefinding. You might want a hotel transfer on the way in though. €20 from RAK airport.

GermanyThe house is beautiful and in central location. My room is cleaned everyday and also decorated with love. Omar, the reception, is a very nice person to talk to. Also the breakfast was great! I recommend everyone visiting Marrakech to stay in this riad.

We really enjoyed our stay! Our host Omar was great, so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great, we even had an early tour one morning and Omar made sure to prepare us breakfast before we left. It is also a very short walk to the Main Street and square in Marrakech. We would highly recommend this Riad to anyone visiting Marrakech.

The place is just 5 minutes walking from the main square Jeema el- Fnaa, the rooms are really cozy and well decorated. The Riad has a wide range of services: hammam, massages, restoration and pick-up service (if arranged in time). The staff could not be more kind and open to all your requests. They allowed us to leave our baggage for few days while we were on a trip in Fes. Good quality-price. Definitely recommended! 👌

United KingdomFantastic central location close to Jemaa el Fnaa (the largest, loveliest square) and any number of covered markets. Turn right out of the hotel and follow the market stalls for 5 mins to the end for the beautiful Bahia Palace on your left. Breakfast was very nice, including really well cooked eggs and several breads and cakes. The interior was lovely, the rooms very sweet, bathrooms (incl nice shower gel and shampoo) excellent and staff on hand 24 hours a day were superb. We left some earrings behind and received a WhatsApp message about them, so these are people you can trust.

United KingdomI loved the family atmosphere and the way we were made so welcome. The staff were extremely helpful and Omar paid us great attention and gave us great advice regarding having a Hammam and massage. Noel gave the most wonderful Hammam scrub and massage an experienced I will never forget. There was no rushing and great attention was given all the time.
The property is one of the smaller Riads but this did not stop it being a lovely property. The beds were comfortable and the towels were changed daily.

United KingdomI found my experience at Riad El L'Heure d'Ete disappointing. In my assessment, the riad was overpriced compared to similar accommodations I've stayed at in Marrakech. Despite paying a higher rate, the rooms and amenities were quite basic. The breakfast lacked variety and was the same both days. There were concerns about the riad's cleanliness, with a strange smell in the room, no bins and a large cockroach in the courtyard. Additionally, the most disappointing aspect of our stay was the refusal to allow a friend to enter the riad with us. We wanted to charge our phones briefly and use the restroom. Despite explaining our intentions and even offering for the friend to wait in the reception area, both the receptionist and manager were unwilling to accommodate. This treatment not only left a negative impression but also seemed inhumane, especially when our friend's request to use the restroom before he left was denied. I did warn the host that this would be mentioned in my review but to no avail. Consequently, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this riad.
The location of the riad was good. It was close to Jemaa el-Fna. The staff were nice and helpful, however, the manager was quite rude, cold, and unhelpful.

United KingdomWe were travelling as 2 friends and booked a non refundable twin room but 30 mins after booking were informed that there was no twin room available but we weren’t allowed a refund as it was non refundable. When we argued this repeatedly we were offered 2 of the 4 nights in a twin room but had to do 2 nights sharing a bed. The first double bedroom was damp and mouldy. My friend suffers from allergies and had lots of symptoms. The damp was visible rising up the walls and even with only 2 nights there our clothes smelt damp. The second twin room did not have this problem. The hotel arranged for us to have a transfer to Essouria for our next destination on the trip. But they forgot to book the transfer. After more than a 2 hour delay they finally sourced a taxi to take us on the trip. However the taxi driver stopped halfway and convinced another taxi driver to complete the journey. It made for a long and stressful journey. On this day we had asked for an early breakfast due to the transfer (30 mins early) but they were 25 mins late with the food and so we had less than 5 mins to eat before getting the transfer. Ironically the transfer then didn’t arrive but we kept being told 5-10 mins and so couldn’t go back for breakfast. It’s a good location and the staff are friendly enough but I wouldn’t return here. It’s not worth the money A smaller issue but still an annoying one - the hot tub on the roof is not hot. Maybe fine for the hot summer but we booked as we love hot tubs but it wasn’t warm enough to sit in a tub of cold water. Frustrating
The beds were comfy. Roof terrace and communal areas were pretty. Good location. Man working nights on reception when we were there was super friendly and helpful.

SlovakiaBreakfast only sweet carbs, full of different bread, no choice of salty. Very small room and bathroom, no hot water first 2 days, then it was ok. Water from the shower flooded everywhere into bathroom and the bedroom too since the floor is all aligned and the shower sink didn’t work properly!!
The location is great because you are close to the famous main square, which is usually super noisy but you cannot hear a thing at the accommodation.

AustriaWe probably stayed there the longest of all guests and booked a room for 9 days. Even though the staff was very nice we did not feel very specailly treated for leaving so much money there. We ate in the first night which for marrocan circumstances was super expensive. I went to the massage 5 times and still we got the worst room of all (first floor, no window, lots of humidity, mold and we even had pidgon babies in the airing!!!) We did not say anything as we thought all of the rooms are the same but the day we checked out we saw another room by accident and were very disappointed, that the other room looked 10 times better and had a big window!!!! The longer we stayed the worse it got. Thus, we even checked out earlier as we could not stay there any longer. All in all we made the best of the situation and as said the staff was very nice but we would never go there anymore ever. Ruined a bit our stay and impression of Marrakesh.
The staff was really nice and helpful and the terrace and especially the breakfast staff was super nice!

SpainArrived late on a Saturday after a very long day travelling. Couldn't shower because the water was cold. Went up to the jacuzzi the next day and that was also ice cold water so couldn't get in. It was unfortunate timing because there was a problem with the water for the first few days so nearly half our week we couldn't shower (just wash with cold water) or use the jacuzzi (jacuzzi was main reason we booked this riad). Wednesday the water was lovely and hot to shower and also the jacuzzi was heated. We were on the ground floor and there is no natural outside light or air in the room so is dark. It was possible to open special window panels on the doors, but then everyone can see directly into the room. Some rooms it was possible to open the window panel for air to get in but not in our room. The only window to slightly open was in the bathroom, so at times the room was stuffy especially at night if the aircon wasn't on. The hairdryer provided in the bathroom made the plug and metal mirror fitting near the plug extremely hot when used so we bought a lower powered one and used it usually in the bedroom. Tip: excursion prices can be found at almost half their prices (just 15 euro for Essouria or Ourika for example), in some agencies or nearly roads. 😉 Evening meal also seemed a bit high at 220dh (22 euro) compared with the restaurants and cafes (so we didn't try it).
The location was perfect. The rooftop terrace was lovely, and the Jacuzzi was also lovely once it was repaired. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's a very beautiful little riad with lovely decor and details....
