Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BahrainHeating didn't work very well though there were thick blankets on the bed. I'd suggest getting an overhaul for the air conditioning unit.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Room was agreeable. Location a ten-minute walk from the town centre. Good breakfast on the terrace. Plenty of hot water for showers.

IrelandThe air conditioner was not working properly and the room was freezing on our first night. The second night it was not so bad though the aircon was not working though. The bathroom flooded a bit while having a shower as there is no physical boundary around the shower cell to stop the water from spilling over and entering the bedroom.
We stayed in Zagora for two nights before heading to the desert for the new years and it was a very good decision. Karim Sahara is a good place to stay in Zagora and is centrally located. Our host Karim is a well-travelled and hospitable person with whom we had some very good conversations. The breakfast at this place is really worth it, especially on the rooftop in winter morning sun.

United KingdomThe location isn't great if you're on foot. You have to walk the whole main street of Zagora to reach if you're getting the bus (and get stopped several times asking where you're staying etc) but the street where the hotel is is friendly.
Cosy and clean room, clean facilities. The man who greeted me was very welcoming and insisted I come down for tea after showing me around, and despite not speaking any language I spoke, still sat with me and made good company. The next day I met Samir with a view to getting a desert tour with other travellers I met. In the end the timing didn't work out, so I went to Mhamid, leaving the hotel around 7pm instead of the morning check out. I offered to pay for essentially sleeping there most of the day, but Samir wouldn't accept any money, despite having spent a fair amount of time drawing maps, presenting several options for tours all at very reasonable prices, and advising on what was achievable. Also, the included breakfast on the rooftop terrace was copious, and very tasty. Thanks again for your hospitality.

SpainThe guesthouse is situated in a run down unpaved street in a rather dodgy neighborhood. We didn’t dare to park our rental car there and parked it in the main street of the city, two blocks away. The bathroom with shower and WC has a curtain instead of a door so privacy is not really possible. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace where it was 10 degrees Celsius cold.
The Aircon heating worked. The roof terrace must be charming in spring and summer.

FranceSamir, the owner and also his employee were very friendly. Great roof terrace where we could sit in the sun in the afternoon and where we had the huge delicious breakfast in the morning . The house and the rooms are nicely decorated. We had the one with bathroom and A/C which was needed in January. There was always hot water in the shower. Comfortable beds and we were given extra blankets. The hotel is in a small side street. We could park our little car just outside the door. There was a good restaurant just a few minutes walking distance, also an interesting evening market. We liked Zagora, it is a nice town with friendly people.

Well... This is my second time at Karim Safari Zagora. As I said before, it was like coming back home. I couldn't wait to see everyone there. They were warm , and welcoming as I was expecting it to be, cool and nice people. Above all that, I had forgotten my wallet at this hotel and came back 5 days later to find my wallet with the receptionist and everything was in it including my cash.... Nothing was missing!!! Incredible!!! That said it all!!! One thing I know for sure, I won't be looking for any new hotel anymore in Zagora, I know where to stay.

United StatesNothing at all!!! Everything was perfect for me.
To me this hotel was not a hotel, it was like coming back home to see a long lost family!!! The owner Samir was like a brother, we will seat outside of his hotel door step and chat our way through life. I don't have words to describe my happiness in this place. Will find any excuse to come back to Zagora so I can stay again in this hotel.
