Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe toilet was separate! I was on the first floor, so the toilet was right next to reception. There also wasn't a sink there to wash your hands, you had to go back to the room to do that. The shower was in the room, though.
I liked the location! You're right in the middle of everything and next to some great cafes. The staff was very friendly and they spoke English quite well. The look of the hotel is very cute and there is a terrace upstairs with good views. Overall it was great!

RussiaThe room was small, we had a small window which was right under the ceiling and going to the terrace. So people could observe us if we won't close the curtains. In general room wasn't super comfy. There were 2 bathrooms on the floor, which is good but could be cleaner.
Location was great, right in the center of Petit Socco with all nice restaurants. Even we were travelling during the Ramadan we could easily find food and drinks. Workers were nice and helpful, this place has a really nice terrace with city and sea view. No problems with Internet as well.

GermanyRooms are close to one another, so we could hear when somebody was opening the door or was going to the bathroom. This was loud at night and affected a bit my sleep. One of the bathroom doors didn't open easily, was making a noise we could hear from bed whenever somebody was using. It's say this was the only minus, the rest was great!
This is a great value for money. The location is amazing, the terrace is peaceful, really in the heart of Medina, very safe at night (we were two girls traveling alone), close to a parking lot if you have a car (50dh/day). Wifi was good and the place was very clean. The staff was friendly, helpful and very kind. We were there during Ramadan and the streets got a bit loud during the night, there is also a mosque right next to the hotel and you can hear the call to prayer at night, but it was not an issue. You have many places to eat right next to the hotel and that's where the Medina starts too. Absolutely recommend and will come back!

United StatesI was pleasantly surprised with Hotel Maram. In the old part of the city, there is a lot of character to the surrounding streets. At no time during the day or night did I feel unsafe in the area around the hotel. Whether you want Moroccan food or not, there are many fine options for meals close by. The Kasbah is a short walk. The Medina, which is the best and oldest part of Tangier is adjacent to the hotel. The streets are narrow with many small shops, bakeries, and crafts studios in this area. The hotel itself is small but my room was more than adequate and comfortable with two twins beds, two chairs, TV, and a wordrobe. It had a sink and shower en suite and the shared toilet for the four rooms on the floor was across the hall. Everything was kept exceptionally clean. The staff was welcoming, pleasant, and helpful and were able to answer all my questions about the area. The front desk was staffed 24/7. They arranged airport transportation for me at a minimal cost. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Hotel Maram upon a return to Tangier and recommend it particularly for any travelers on a budget.
