Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNot specific to Agafay Lodge - there was nothing we didn’t like there (except the rain!!) but the journey in was a a bit tough, not the terrain particularly as we expected to be bumped around a bit, but the piles of rubbish - mainly plastic bottles everywhere I found quite distressing. That was awful and I still feel upset when I think of that.
Agafay Lodge was beautiful and my family and I (husband and two boys, 14 and 10) LOVED IT. The layout was perfect with all the tents set out in a semi circle around the pool area to capture the exceptional views of the resort, the desert surrounding us and the snow capped mountains in the distance. It was close together but we honestly didn’t notice, it felt almost like a little haven just for us. The pool was beautiful - unfortunately a bit cold (that only stopped me, not the kids!), the patio was lovely with lots of seating and eating areas to sit communally without guests being on top of each other and the restaurant bar was nicely decorated and comfortable in keeping with its surroundings, again to capture the wonderful views. At night it would come alive with flames burning in every corner, magical. The camp seemed lovely and secluded and very special. Also, as there’s only a small number of tents even if it’s full it can’t be busy so it feels like a well kept secret! The staff were excellent. Jamal and his team made us all feel welcome from start to finish and nothing was too much for them. We did a family buggy ride in the evening and a camel ride in the morning. Very different experiences but both hugely fun. The individual accommodation itself was so well laid out; huge, comfortable, practical and beautifully done, inside and out with everything we needed for our one night stay. Unlimited hot water, even WiFi, all the towels, robes, decoration, seating areas etc you’d expect from any good hotel but in a tent! The food served in the restaurant was great. There was a limited choice but more than enough for a short stay, which is really all you’d do there. You would choose your lunch and dinner but the breakfast they served was the same for everyone with plate upon plate arriving of traditional Moroccan offerings. I had a salad for lunch, a tagine with bread in the evening and all the eggs, pancakes, fruit and cake I could manage in the morning.

United KingdomThe only downside was that there was no hot water. This seemed to be the accepted norm, and a cold shower was the order of the day!
There was so much to rave about at Oxygen Lodge! The location and mountain backdrop over the infinity pool really were spectacular and a much-needed relaxing haven away from the hustle and bustle of the Marrakech medina. The lodges were really spacious, clean and well-appointed. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The range of excursions, from camel rides to quad biking, from hot air ballooning to massages was superb (although slightly inflated prices do reflect the remoteness of the location) and the evening setting at the lodges, including cocktails and a fire pit alongside traditional Moroccan musicians was a real highlight. Will certainly visit again!

United KingdomProperty was very nice, and very ZEN, very chill. However, the hotel were late for checking us for like an hour. Checking in time is 3, but we didn’t get check in our room till 4:30, and they didn’t offer anything to make up for this. Bit disappointed.
Great location, but it’s a lot lumpy road to ride to the destination. We had two young children and they were both sick from the lumpy road.

United KingdomWe had an amazing 24hours in this magical place. The kids had the time of their lives too (aged 6 and 10). Super luxurious, very relaxed, peaceful, amazing service, stunning tents and nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment on the evening felt traditional but really fun and engaging during dinner. Food was brilliant, enormous portions and excellent value for money. The camels and quads were great fun, inexpensive and coordinated by the lodge staff when we arrived. The absolute highlight of our trip around Morocco. We cannot wait to return.

NetherlandsIf I could name 2 recommendations: - Food was OK-ish. I expected a bit more from a luxury resort like this. - The lodge was a bit minimalistic, I think the lodge could have even been nicer with some touches like plants, lamps, candles or antything.
We had an extraordinary stay at Oxyen Lodge! This location is outstanding and belongs to one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. Staff is super friendly, lodges are spacious. Also, I ate gluten free and they brought gluten free bread + pancakes for breakfast. Amazing! The infinity pool with the views is amazing as well.

FranceShower with warm water over 5 minutes is not guaranteed in our case. But I understand how difficult to get warm water all the way to the deserted area …
Super nice staff - a special thank-you to Hamza who have been taking a very good care of us! Breathtaking view of the desert - the view of Agafay is beautiful and chilling by the pool with this view is one and only for me. Hope I can return one day! Dinner with show - reasonably priced dinner with a performance at the same time. The interactions with the performers made the dinner memorable.

United KingdomBe prepared for the noise of quad bikes during the day - you certainly shouldn't expect tranquil peace and quiet. They weren't too much but would have been nicer without and not the hotel's fault! Also, we hired a small car and the roads weren't suitable, we should have gone with a 4x4 or just arrived via taxi. Worth knowing if you plan to drive yourself.
A beautiful luxury tented feel with great food and attentive staff. Sitting round the pool whilst the sun was setting and enjoying the beautiful views was lovely and then gathering round the fire for drinks before dinner. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped. The staff lighting the log burner whilst at dinner so we came back to a toasty room was a lovely bonus.

United KingdomNothing!
Absolutely phenomenal location. The drive is about 1 hour from Marrakesh train station, but when you arrive the vista is just gorgeous. There was nothing we did quite like this on our trip. All of the staff were extremely friendly, hospitable and helpful. Spending one afternoon quad biking was definitely worth it, one of the highlights of the whole trip. If you want to spend a night in the Agafay desert, you have to come here!

United KingdomThe pool was chilly (but it was a cold day so can't imagine being able to heat a pool in the desert).
The lodge and breakfast were amazing! The setting overlooking the desert and the Atlas mountains was stunning. Our family of 4 did dune buggy riding and whilst it was much more expensive than doing it elsewhere, it was worth it, as we could do it straight from the lodge and we got a more personal experience - kids totally loved it.
