Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomFood (dinner and breakfast) was average and we were expecting more for the price. As other reviewers have said, the service was fine but not deserving of the 5-star rating.
Beautiful property, nice rooms and excellent terrace - wish we could have spent more time there!

Czech RepublicThis Riad is so peaceful and silent, I had best sleep in Marrakesh here, it is like small paradise in noisy Medina. Breakfast also was amazing. If You staying here take hammam. We choose deluxe package and it was best experience of spa in Marocco. Thank You 😇🙏🤍

IrelandAs per culture , the Riad did not have a rooftop restaurant/ bar as some of them have but I would sty again.
It is very close to the Medina area . Around 15 min walk. There is an amazing French restaurant close by ( 10 min walk ) called Villa Aaron where the you can have amazing cocktails, the place looks beautiful and the food is amazing. I would advise in booking the transfer with them ( I did not do a regretted ) and book the desert trip with them too. It was amazing.

United KingdomApparently taxis wont drive you outside the street where the riad is situated, which meant getting lost in the alleyways on arrival which was a scary first impression when arriving in the night, as people would approach you and request money for giving directions The availability of staff if you needed something was difficult sometimes The room we had was very dark when the door curtains were closed for privacy as the room was on fully display I wasn't sure about the security of the building as you seemed to just be let in via the buzzer without checking
The riad was beautifully decorated The room we had was huge There is a beautiful rooftop area to sit in the sun The staff were friendly and helpful and always smiling The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety You could order food all day at your request The rooms were cleaned daily You were given lots of information on arrival in a booklet such as excursions, hotel information, nearby places on a map, the hotel food menu and times On leaving a member of staffed walked us to our taxi pick up point which they had booked on our behalf

United KingdomNothing I didn’t like, I had a great time and was prepared for a different experience to my usual hotel stays.
I have gave Riad Palais Calipau a 10 based our own personal experience. The staff are amazingly accommodating, kind polite and conversational. The Hammam and massage was amazing, the bed was very comfortable. And visually it’s a beautiful Riad. When booking a Riad in old town Medina, you have to remember you are staying within Moroccan tradition, where people live/work and you’re in the heart of the hustle and bustle you’re not staying in a 5star resort so things are different. But that’s what I went for, so that I could experience culture for my first time in the country. You have everything you need within the riad while staying in a place that feels special to the locals. Everything is clean with traditional decor and we had a great time there. Jamal was a great host as well as Mohammed and all the staff but I didn’t catch their names. We found some amazing restaurants all within 10-15mins, went to beautiful gardens, went to a pottery class and all in all it was a great location for a short stay. I would defo come back and stay here.

Our room was fantastic and we found the raid perfect. Very peaceful and we had a swim which was so refreshing. The smell of the raid is orange blossom and you can hear the birds. So beautiful. Very clean and felt safe place to relax .We had a Hammam and a 30 minute massage which was such a treat we would recommend you have one. Thanks and we would loved our time here.

FinlandWe booked massage and the masseur was sick. My partner got a horrible flue because of that and it ruined a bit our holiday when one is sick. Wished they would have changed that sick masseur to another one.
Staff was super friendly and helpful. They did care about us and did everything that we enjoyed our stay. Nice environment, little bit out of the busiest roads. Room was nice, lots of space. Nice decorations and plants in the lounge.

United KingdomThe Riad is a beautiful old building, and so the sound proofing can not be the same as a new build house. On some occasions you could hear other guests walking outside or meeting for breakfast. Nothing outrageous. If anything the sound of birds in the morning resting in the courtyard was the perfect way to wake up!
From the moment we arrived the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They organised our transfer, greeted us on arrival, welcomed us with traditional tea and provided information on the city, bookings, and culture. No request was too much and we couldn't help but notice every member of the team working with a smile. The Riad itself was stunning. The details in design, furnishings, lighting - all added to the tranquillity and beauty. After a few days exploring the city it was clear that the Riad reflected items you could find in the Souk. Very traditional. The room was refreshed every day and the fresh breakfast set us up for the day ahead. The location was perfect, we were only a short walk from the centre of the city and even closer to Bab Agnaou (one of the old city gates) which was the pickup location for our various excursions! Nothing beats watching the sunset on the terrace after a long day of exploring or hiking. We enjoyed views towards the north looking over the Koutoubia Mosque (the tallest structure in the city) and views to the south of the impressive Atlas Mountain range. We will absolutely be visiting again!

United KingdomOnly the location was a bit tricky and we heard when other guests came in at night.(only because our room was right next to the entrance)
Breakfast was colourful marroccon style (not buffet) with coffee and juice. The room was spacious and very clean, the interior was beautiful. They location was a bit hidden but only 2 minutes walk from the city wall, it was safe.
