Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyWe had 4 rooms. We had alot of issues with one of the rooms but the reception sent someone almost immediately and solved them. In another room there was significant drain pipe odor so we slept with the bathroom window open and the connecting door shut. All in all wonderful place and very nice reception staff.

It's a nice hotel in the Palmeraie away from the hustle of the site. Set in gorgeous grounds with nice facilities. For breakfast, there was a nice array of items, and the reception staff was so helpful. In particular, Mouna, Mustafa and Hayat. Youssef, the porter, is also very friendly and kind.

CanadaSome items in the room might need an update (bathroom know kept falling off). Also, the lady in charge of pouring tea during breakfast was never smiling and had a grumpy face at all times unlike the rest of the staff. Location is a bit too far from city.
Amazing for kids and family-oriented with many activities. Food is good with different options and staff is very nice. Super clean and well equipped.

United KingdomAn issue with billing was not handled well. To get an explanation took 7 visits to reception, keeping having to repeat the issue and then ‘go back later’. No one took ownership of the issue.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and had all the facilities that would be expected. The free shuttle bus into the centre was a bonus, but not running from 12.30 until 3pm was restricted.

United KingdomDinner started a little later than we are used to- 19:30 but it was fine if you have a big lunch:
Great selection and quality for all meals. Meat and veggie, tagines, salads, fresh stir fry, 3 different types of pancake, international, French, Moroccan. 3 pools to choose from, all great, never crowded. One quieter, one big for all activities with music, one smaller for young kids. Plenty of loungers and great little booths (like huge sofas) to sunbathe on with mobile umbrellas. Football, volleyball, aqua aerobics, yoga, tennis, mini golf, pool, all on site. Room always clean, great shower/bathroom. All facilities brilliant. Water delivered to room daily. Helpful staff. Hotel looks beautiful. Free shuttles into city centre hourly. Kids club.

United KingdomIt was good.
It was our first time in Morocco. We enjoyed our stay at Barcelo. The property is spacious and well designed. Rooms and bathrooms are of decent size. Pools are main attraction during the day. There is good night entertainment and the bar is also good. The dinning area is very well designed and comfortable. The food including fruits were also good. I have rated Barcelo exceptional because of its staff. From Hayat and Mustafa who responded quickly to all our requirements, Ibrahim who made us feel welcomed and always gave good suggestions, Iman at reception and Sana at the bar who was always polite and caring and Yasin who was always smiling and attending to us in the dinning area, we could not have selected a better resort.

United KingdomFood was very repetitive every day It was some times cold The all inclusive is a con .. only allowed limited local drinks … check before you buy ! We have traveled all over world and this is the worst . The bed was very comfortable, limited coffee and milk in room , but there was a conference centre , which hosted parties until 1.15am on two occasions in our 6 days . The hotel never explained at booking . The base from the speakers just was un acceptable.. I complained at the time by phone , and next day , it fell on deaf ears .obviously the hotel was making a lot of money from it. The meat /fish /barbecue, pizza was outside , there was flies all over the food and meat , I did end up with dodgy stomach on last day ..
Friendly and clean nice gardens Staff nice

SpainIn a whole week, they didn't manage to fix the hot water of the shower in neither of the 3 rooms. For a whole week, we were either showeiring with cold water or etremely hot wat in a very low pressure. It seemed like the staff didn't understand the functioning of their systems
The property was very beautiful. Most of the staff were very attentive, and breakfast was very good. The rooms were always very clean.

United KingdomI personally found 7:30 dinner start quite late, teabags but no milk provided in our room which was inconvenient (we could have asked though), did not realise we had to pay extra to have a glass of wine with our meal despite being on half board but that was fine, it was reasonably priced (and good quality). It was quite a scramble to get 'msemen' (delicious Moroccan pancakes) at breakfast each day, they would immediately get finished and you'd have to wait a while for new ones to be made (and only take one because of course there were others waiting). Trivial maybe but the msemen is one of my highlights of a visit to Morocco :) Otherwise breakfast was plentiful with lots of other delicious baked goods and cooked food / fruit / yoghurt etc. No coffee served after dinner which was a shame as I love to have coffee with my dessert but it wasn't the end of the world (you can have it in your room). Better comms on anything happening at the hotel. The day we arrived there was apparently a Moroccan themed night with activities, shows etc but we had no idea until the next day. We were told there is an app where information can be found but not everyone uses apps, a noticeboard in a prominent position perhaps, or a screen? We were disappointed to have missed out on it.
Room was large (we were upgraded which was wonderful), heating worked well (it was winter!), peace and tranquillity of the hotel and grounds, food was tasty and good quality, staff were friendly and helpful, hot powerful shower, style of accommodation (villa type) very nice. Pool areas nice, particularly like the 'zen pool' for a relaxed time (other hotels I have stayed at its just too busy with loud music). Bar area is nice. Grounds are beautiful, large and well maintained. Boutique shop was quite well stocked so that was convenient to buy some gifts (reasonably priced too). Nice to have cosy slippers provided in the room, little touches like that make a difference. I really liked that the entertainment reps don't harass you continually to take part in activities like at some other hotels where I would literally have to hide from them (I'm usually there to relax and enjoy the sun)!
