Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomCould have been a bit cleaner. The location was fine but navigating through the cramped dirty streets was not ideal.
Relatively comfortable and staff were welcoming.

PolandThe neighbouhood is a little gloomy, The street leading to the hostel is a local market street, which is ok during the day, at night it is really littered. The building itself isn't isolated enough- it was noisy long in the night- everything heard in the room. The interiors need some redecoration and deep cleaning.
The biggest advantage of the place is the staff- welcoming and really helpful. Late check-in was also an advantage. The freshly made breakfast was ok. You can buy freshly baked bread at the local market and at the nearby shop. The access to Jemaa El-Fna place is fairly easy. Tombs of Saadians in the neighbourhood- worth visiting.

New ZealandI was woken up at 11pm on my last night to a male staff member beside my bed. They asked me if this was my bed and then showed me a roster with names for the people staying in the room. My name wasn't on the list and they'd obviously made a mistake on the roster as I'd paid for the bed for 4 nights (as I'd showed them on my app). They apologised and left but it was really infuriating and unprofessional. It seems like they had double booked the bed. In addition to this the housekeeping staff are terrible and unprofessional - I had placed my dirty clothes in my storage space about my bed and my pyjamas on my bed, I had also hidden my values in the blankets and under the pillow (as there are no proper lockers in the room). When I got back the cleaner had placed my dirty clothes with my clean pyjamas, and had taken my valuables that were hidden and placed them on top of the blanket in full view of everyone. For those who chose to pay later through their card you're told when you arrive that you actually have to pay cash which is ridiculous (and a lot of people argued about this with them). There's a absolutely no warning about this prior to booking and it's particularly bad as most ATMs in Marrakesh do not work at all. The rooms themselves are like dingy prison cells, there's no privacy or space and barely any light (one lightbulb hanging from the ceiling). The showers were really dirty, there's no soap and the toilet paper was often out. Finally, the food provided was also not good at all.

United KingdomIt's in the kasbah so you need a good sense of direction. There were a lot of beds in our room with not much ventilation.
Very friendly staff and a lovely Riad with a roof terrace. Breakfast was good. And I booked an excursion where they collect you from the accomodation

IrelandThe room I was in was claustrophobic. There was no space to even stand with the lugguages put in the remaining space. The room was very small with three bunk beds and no ventilation. I could only sleep and had to drag my bag outside to the common area to pack/unpack the bag and get ready.
Great friendly staff, was helpful with all the information I needed. Lots of common areas to hangout in the building.

CanadaWe had reserved a room for 4 and it was taken. We got a room with 3 bunkbeds, no windows, no lock, no A/C, no bathroom or shower. Tall guy had no legroom. It is a little walk past stinky garbage piles. Would not stay at this location again. Pay a little more and stay elsewhere.
Breakfast was ok

MaltaSome antisemitic vibes from the guy working night shift. He’s friendly to other guests but to me he was not. He was polite but never friendly and he pointed out some political poster that is antisemitic and told me it’s great that someone freshly painted it. I’m Jewish and although I was safe while there, due to this one (night) worker, I would not recommend it for Jewish travelers. To the other guests he was lovely… so if you’re not Jewish you will be happy there. Also I was charged €15 for the taxi to the airport (10 min ride) and it should cost €10 maximum. When I got in the taxi another guest was also there who had also been charged €15… so they were charging €30 in total which is 3x what any other taxi would charge.
The location is perfect… in the Medina but a more local and less tourist part. The facilities are good and the free breakfast was great. Extremely affordable place.

MaltaThe guy working nights at the place gave me the impression that he does not like People of my religion. I felt he was polite but not really friendly to me, while he was friendly to others. He also pointed out a political sign to me which is antisemitic and told me it’s great that someone recently painted it. These things made me, as a Jewish traveller, not feel comfortable. On the other hand, the rest of the staff were lovely and did not discriminate are against at me.
The location was good (in the Medina) and I liked that breakfast was included. It was very affordable.

United KingdomRoom was next to the busy reception with light and noise till midnight Being a shared room you expect disorganised, yet with a few simple touches you may improve with some outside lockers and shoe rack. Instead any time one moves or switches on light it disturbs others
The vibe is nice Lots of friendly people around of any age and with a story to tell It is a big place that develops in 3D so there is always some space for you and your thoughts

SpainMy outlet was very loose so I couldn't charge my phone. And the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The mattress was a brick, and the pillow were bricks in the shape of a tube. The blankets were good though.
I liked the vibes and the location of the place. The people there were super sweet and I felt very safe while traveling there as a woman alone.

RussiaThe employees responded to requests via WhatsApp with a delay of several hours, and during a phone call they interrupted the conversation and were rude. I asked for a lower bed 3 weeks in advance, but when I arrived, the employee said that he didn’t know anything and the only free bed was the upper one, and spoke rudely. It took a lot of effort to get a check for payment. The TV was on until late in the hall, broadcasting football at full volume, the noise could be heard in the room. Every evening some men slept on the sofas in the hall. There is no free access to the kitchen. To get boiling water, you need to find an employee and ask him to boil a copper kettle on the stove. It takes about 10 minutes. Washbasins are located on the walkway and you will perform hygiene procedures for everyone to see. The cleaning lady came into the room at 8 o'clock in the morning, silently turned on the light and began to wash the floor. Breakfast is always the same and is sold at a greatly inflated price for this city. The kitchen and tables for eating are on the second floor, and the refrigerator is on the ground floor. The promised views of the mountains, the city and the garden are not there. There are no windows in the room at all. Wi-fi worked periodically.
Conditions of showers and toilets are good.

United KingdomI was unable to secure my belongings in a safe place, this has nothing to do with the hostel, they provide lockers and if you have a lock you can secure things no problem. it was one of the guests. Upon arrival (around 6pm) whilst being shown to my room the guest insisted that the light was turned off and so we left.
The person checking me in was great, very kind and welcoming

ArgentinaZACHARIAS.. This guy needs training about how to deal with people, how to deal with tourists and understand that not everything is about taking advantage of the people.. We received a discount for a trip contracted with the hostel and he not just tried to charge us even more than the initial price offered but also was extremely rude to tell us that.
We were welcomed by Abdul, who from the beginning was super friendly, he explained and showed us everything and until the end of the stay he was worried about our experience and how we felt there! I really appreciate that and make our stay great! Also the Pakistani guy from the breakfast was so funny and chatty, really nice talking with him!

Czech RepublicIt was my first time at a hostel and there wasn't a place to lock my baggage in so I was really cautious about my things with 9 other people in the room with me. The room which I stayed in doesn't have windows, so there was a fan going the whole night. The car transfer from the airport was more expensive than the stay at the hostel. The location at which the hostel is, is very local, there is a market and the smell is very bad on a few locations around the hostel.
The car pick-up was nice, I had to wait in a line for like 2 hours at the airport but it was no problem for the driver. The breakfast was nice (via picture). The people were nice, there was a road block so the people from the hostel came to pick me up and brought me to the hostel. I bought a sim card for 3 euros and a 4 gbs of data for 4 euros at the hostel, also very nice. The shower and the toilet are okay, you can rent a towel for an euro, pretty useful.
