Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryIt’s at a busy place, so it is quite loud, even at night. It did not bother us at all, but if you are sensitive to noise it can be an issue.
We really enjoyed our stay in Red Hotel Marrakech. It is a beautiful and comfortable hotel right next to the central train station which was very useful for us, because we visited different cities by train, and we could easily do that from here. The hotel has a beautiful pool, a great snack bar (with an always smiley and friendly staff, including the kind Samad) and a nice spa. The crew is amazing, they always helped us immediately with every question we had about our Moroccon trip. Highly recommended.

United KingdomStaff were not aware room was booked for family of 4 even though request was accepted online, hotel had no rooms suitable for family of 4, we had to settle for a roll out bed which made the room very cramped. View from room was a construction site.
Hotel location was very good, breakfast also very good. Room was small, not suitable for family of 4.

CyprusJust few steps from the Marrakech central train terminal, near to the national theater and the must seeing’s in Marrakech town. The room is big with comfortable bed, plasma tv, Wi-Fi,a/c, bathroom and tea, coffee. Amazing pool outside, good view from the balcony and pleasant breakfast buffet. The people who works there are great and extremely friendly.

FranceThere's a lot they don't tell you about this hotel. Firstly you are basically booking with the Opera Plaza Hotel but your room will be in the Red Hotel. Everything is run by the Opera Plaza Hotel as is it joined to it which is pretty misleading. We were not informed of this nor the loud construction works that were going on during the whole time we stayed there. We also had to pay a deposit more than triple the amount we agreed to when we reserved the room. We showed the receptionist that the deposit stated it was £45 but we actually had to deposit £160 because 'we had a long stay at the hotel'. Found this very misleading and this was a lot to pay for a deposit. We literally had to ask 6 times to finally get to borrow an iron, each time they told us yes and then it never turned up. Stayed in much better 4 star hotels. Just found the whole experience misleading which is why I wanted to review it but some of the staff were really nice ! Also the photos of the room look much better than what they are in reality

United KingdomThere was only one receptionist at a time so you have to wait around to be seen. The rooms were dusty even after a clean. The rooms look dull and dated. Our room window didn’t shut properly so the dogs from outside interferes with the sleep. The bed was squeaky. There are no tea or coffee in the rooms. What bothered me the most is that you can’t bring food or drink from outside. Not even water! You are expected to buy from the hotel for a much higher price. Most of the staff were not very friendly. There aren’t any iron in the rooms so you have to wait a very long time to get one from the reception.
Red hotel is now working with Opera Plaza so Red doesn’t really exist anymore. The lobby area is nice and clean and beautifully furnished. The breakfast was ok. The location was great even though on the main road it was next to some restaurants ,a train station and easy access to bus links to get to jemaa-el-fana. One or two staff were friendly. The pool was nice and warm but very busy.

United KingdomThe rooms weren’t cleaned regularly and we had to go out of our way to get new towels. The staff would often talk down to us and weren’t helpful. The facilities were not the best either. The bathroom door locks did not work in any of the rooms.
The location was good as it was near to the city centre.

NetherlandsThe receptionist demanded we leave a 350 euro deposit for our room (which was almost the room pricr itself), even though the terms and conditions mentioned a deposit of 50 euros. We even overheard her ask 400 euro deposit from another guest, so we felt that we were being scammed pretty badly. We got the deposit back in the end but requesting a deposit that is almost the same price as the room and asking different deposits from other guests seems very suspicious.
The staff was friendly and they have an elaborate breakfast buffet so there’s something to like for everyone.
