Our stay in Riad Anabel was truly wonderful, thanks to Fouad at the reception. His warm hospitality and outstanding support made us feel at home, even though we were far away. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and provided excellent service throughout our stay. Such kindness and professionalism are rare to find! Highly recommend this place, and a huge thank you to Fouad for making our experience unforgettable.

When we arrived by the taxi as close as possible to the Riad, we were met by a guy from the Riad - so far great. He then proceeded to load our luggage into a trolley driven by another person. After wheeling our luggage to the Riad we were 'asked' for 'tips'. It felt like we were being ripped off and were afraid that it set the tone for the rest of trip (not the case). We would have appreciated if they had told us from before, we would have still paid, because we were tired after flying in for over 10 hours. But be prepared, bartering and haggling are engrained in their culture - as long as it's civil and polite, you will be fine. Silver lining: As soon as we set foot in the room, all was forgiven.

The Riad is beautiful and lies not more than 10 minutes away from Jeema El-Fnaa. At night time the area is bustling with life but once you step inside the Riad, it's peaceful and quiet. Madama Habiba, was very nice and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were exceptional.

The room was slightly smaller than the photos suggest but very clean and comfortable.

The owner was absolutely lovely and super helpful in organising the next section of our trip. Breakfast was amazing and such variety. Location was also perfect and in the centre of everything. WiFi and showers were perfect also.

The Riad is beautiful and quiet yet in a central location. We were woken by birdsong in the canopy above the courtyard. We were well looked after and enjoyed a varied and tasty breakfast each morning.

    All good

Exceptionally kind and helpful management and staff, comfortable spacious and unique rooms, centrally located in the Medina close to everything but very quiet and peaceful. Great communication and rapid response to any question prior to and after arrival. Delicious breakfasts which can be taken on the sun terrace or inside, lovely traditional meal provided as requested on arrival. Also enjoyed Hammam and massage in the Riad. A great base for both exploring and relaxing. Thank you Habiba, Faoud and team!

We stayed for a whole week, and while all of Marrakesh is amazing, Riad Anabel was the highlight of our trip. We stayed with our two young kids (ages 3 and 6) and my mother (70s), and had two absolutely gorgeous and spacious rooms. Everything was immaculately cleaned each day, and both rooms had an air conditioner/heating unit (the nights get cold in winter). The rooms (and the whole Riad) are decorated beautifully with traditional elements and antiques, but all of the amenities are modern and nothing feels outdated. Before arriving, communication was easy and they were very responsive to our questions and requests. They arranged pick up and transport from the airport, and we were welcomed with fresh mint tea and cookies. The fresh flowers make the whole area smell wonderful, and other than the birds twittering in the flowering trees on the roof, it's amazingly quiet considering the central location (it's right in the markets, and only a 5-10 minute walk to the main square, Jemaa el-Fnaa). The food at the Riad is the best in Marrakesh! The breakfasts are huge spreads, with different breads, fruits, pastries and a different egg Tagine each morning. And dinners are wonderful! We ended up eating most of our dinners there; the Tagines are delicious and better than other restaurants we tried. And the best part is they also offer cooking classes! We did the cooking class with our two young girls, and it was so personal and fun. Instead of feeling formal or fussy, it felt more like we were gathered together as a family in a cozy, home kitchen. They also have a small Hammam, and even the kids liked getting a scrub treatment there. The pool in the atrium is very cold, especially for January, but I can imagine in the hot summer it would be very refreshing after wandering the markets. The staff, owners, and everyone there were absolutely incredible.

    We were happy with everything!

From the moment we were welcomed in to the Riad until our departure, we felt so comfortable and relaxed. It was like being at home. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were delicious. They were able to assist us with taxis and transferring luggage. The Olivier room was magical! The rooftop was an oasis. We were genuinely sad to leave Riad Anabel.

Riad Anabel was excellent in every aspect. The facilities were beautiful, the service exceptional, and the owners wonderful, like family. The breakfast was spectacular. I had never stayed in such a complete riad in every way before. My mother fell ill, and they cared for us as if we were family. It was a true pleasure to spend a few days at the riad, and we will definitely return soon. Many thanks to the Riad Anabel family, Ines.

    Nothing.

The property is as per the photos. We booked two rooms and both were well decorated and very comfortable. We’ve been travelling for nearly 2 weeks and stayed in several Riads. This was by far the most beautiful and the location was very central in the medina. The team looked after us very well. We arrived extremely late by car as we had met with an accident along the way. The team waited for us, had someone pick us up from the car park and led us to the riad and our rooms. The owner herself was there to meet us and ensured that we were comfortable. We also had dinner there one evening and the food was fabulous. I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you.

Minor point, but maybe not accepting very young children into the Riad as one can hear giving the proximity of rooms to communal areas.

Beautiful room and lobby and the rooftop garden was lovely and chilled - great for eating breakfast every morning. The breakfast was amazing and generous - plus they changed it a bit everyday. Location - easy to find and within walking distance of attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I stayed in the "Chocolat" room, which is located on the ground floor right next to the patio. Unfortunately, this made it difficult to open the windows for privacy. Additionally, when I requested a taxi through the riad, the driver did not arrive at the riad itself, and I was instructed to meet them at a nearby square. With many taxis in the area, it was hard to find the specific one arranged by the riad, leading to confusion and delays, and I ultimately had to take a different taxi, which caused me to be late for my appointment.

The riad is in a fantastic location, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and bed making, which added a nice touch of comfort. Breakfast on the rooftop was a real highlight, with delicious food in a great environment. The overall ambience of the riad was beautiful and created a peaceful atmosphere throughout my stay.

I love a VERY soft bed, so for me it was not great, but I think for most people it is probably fine.

Superb communication which made my entire journey much easier to enjoy. A beautiful riad, as it should be an oasis of peace inside the frenetic Medina. Don't repeat my mistake of missing breakfast one morning, shame on me.

The driver we arranged through the riad to pick us up at the airport mistakenly took a different client because he did not have our names. This added 30 minutes of waiting and some stress to figure-out what had happened and what to do in an unfamiliar place.

Ample breakfast on the terrace each day was wonderful. The host of the riad kindly provided a complimentary return to the airport at the end of our stay to compensate for a problem with our transportation when we first arrived.
