This is such a fantastic Riad and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. We arrived after 11pm and they kindly met us at our taxi to walk us to the Riad and had a beautiful private meal ready for us on arrival. It was also the 10 year wedding anniversary of my sister and her husband and they arranged a beautiful floral display in their room on request. Cannot recommend this Riad enough. 10/10 I will be back! Thank you team Riad Assala!

We booked a taxi from the airport through Booking.com. The driver dropped us off right outside the Medina and wished us luck getting to the Riad. After walking about 10 minutes we couldn’t find the entrance to the Riad. It is very hard to find using Google Maps and we had to pay someone on the street to show us how to get there. Maybe it’s better if you book a transfer directly with the riad but just be aware it’s hard to find.

I had to go through narrow alleys and low tunnel like routes to get to the Riad. The Riad was not easy to find. There was a door and a mirror in the room - it looked as if the room was being used as a storage place. The shower unit needs to be fixed. I would have preferred a door to the bathroom - instead of a curtain I don't think the bathroom looks pleasing to the eye. Once the doors are closed - there is not enough natural light in the room.

Ahmed and Fatima were increadible! Such friendly staff :) Ahmed spoke 4 languages, organised a taxi for me and walked to to it so I didn't get lost. Fatima came and found me when I was lost in the medina and could not find the Riad. Both went above and beyond.

Amazing stay, would highly recommend!!! Book this riad!!! I cannot stress how kind and lovely the staff were, very helpful to deal with. Very nice interior and rooftop to relax on. Very clean, and great location. The breakfast was yummy, different bread and spreads and an omelette with coffee and tea. Airport transfer was easy, and someone from the riad will meet you at the taxi and navigate you through the busy Medina.

There honestly isn't much not to like about the Riad. It was perfect.

Me and my friends had an amazing time at Riad Assala. Ahmed truly went out of his way to give us the most pleasant stay. He told us all about the best attractions in the city and made amazing breakfast. There were many lounges in the patio and on the rooftop to relax and a refreshing pool to cool down from the heat. I would highly recommend this riad to anyone who is looking for a safe, comfortable stay in a great location of the Medina.

I could not fault the Riad at all.

Mustapha looked after us on our arrival. He came to meet us at the edge of the Medina to help us with our bags. We received mint tee and biscuits on arrival also. Rooms were cleaned daily, breakfast was lovely and the pool was amazing for a dip. Room is a great size, really well air-conditioned. Rooftop was cool. Mustapha also helped organize us an airport transfer for the way home, which another staff member helped us carry the bags to. I have never experienced hospitality quite like what we received from this family, and we have stayed in 5 star hotels around europe. Hats off to you! Thank you for having us.

The location was perfect, quiet yet close to everything. Spacious and comfortable. Fatima and Mustafa are the most gracious hosts. They were incredibly kind and helpful organising tours, meals, greeting us at our drop off point and escorting us to our accommodation. The service was absolutely exceptional and I will never stay anywhere else in Marrakech. Look forward to returning.

It would be great to have some fruit with the breakfast... It was a lot of bread for us. We didn't really like the location. It's very central for the souk, which some people might love. But because of that, we were harassed a lot on the street. The area is a real maze and there were people trying to misdirect us so they could show us the way and then demand money. This meant that we didn't really feel safe. Personally we would choose to stay outside of the Medina in the future and to visit during the day.

The riad is very stylish and comfortable and the staff very friendly. The roof terrace is a great place to relax and WiFi was available everywhere so I could get some work done in the sun, too! Breakfast was pretty good and decent portions.

Communication was excellent, roof terrace a great place to relax on, plunge pool and relax areas beautifully set up. Breakfast tasted so good! They organised a airport transfer from the airport which made life easy too.
