Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThis Riad is absolutely beautiful! It’s one of the best Riads we stayed in Morocco, very well kept, better than the average standard. We had the best room with lots of windows, spacious. We can tell they are very thoughtful people as they put a large electric radiator in the room and a small fan heater in the bathroom which is life saving if you come visit Fes in spring with chilly weather in the evening, there is also air conditioning, but we didn’t use it. It was cosy and warm. An extra large bed would be better as the room has enough space. There was no duvet for the single bed, only a thick blanket. That’s not a problem as the room is very warm. Delicious breakfast, very freshly squeezed orange juice, all kind of pancakes, cakes, eggs and fruits, of course the Morocco mint tea. Very quiet Riad with good location. Two male staffs are very friendly and professional. Beautiful view from the rooftop terrace. This is definitely a high standard accommodation in Morocco. Highly recommended and would definitely come back to stay again.

The hospitality was excellent. Jawad welcomed us when we first arrived, spent a lot of time showing us the city and locations around it, and helped us get settled in. Mahmood was also amazing, serving us dinner as requested for the first night and there to help us out in the morning. The Riad was great, the location is optimal, and the views were beautiful. Will definitely come back here.

GermanyI really liked the facility with its beautiful ornaments and general look. The rooms are warm and the beds are very comfy and make you really feel at home. Our room had a heater, which was really welcoming during the cold nights in Fes! It’s really an unique feature, not every Riad offers. Most importantly I was surprised by the warm welcome and service Mahmoud gave us, he really is a friendly and responsible person and made our stay one I will never forget. Looking forward to our next visit!

United KingdomThere are flies inside the property. They gave us 5 types of bread and a yoghurt for breakfast, perhaps an egg would be better. The location of the property is 5 mins walk from the main streets of Medina, depends if you would like to stay within the medina or not.
the room is massive, toilet is very huge too. Manager and staff at the riad are very kind and helpful. The rooftop also has a great view of the city

United KingdomWe saw one cockroach in the bathroom (which we understand can happen) and sewage smell coming from the drains.
Beautiful Riad with a fantastic terrace with great views of the city. Room was comfy with extra space for table/chairs. I loved the details of the black soap and moroccan pottery in the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious too, very good selection of breads. Nice central location in quiet area. Really recommended!

RussiaA really beautiful, carefully restored Riad. We especially liked the traditional decor in the interior — marvellous hand-painted wooden ceilings, blue mosaics, and openwork wooden doors. Nice cosmetics in the bathroom. Everything is authentic and tasteful. Dominique is an incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic person; he told us about the sights of Fes and the restoration of the Riad, which was very interesting to know. All the staff were friendly and helpful; they did everything to make our holiday comfortable. The breakfasts are lovely. We also ordered dinners, all were delicious and worth it, just the portions are a bit large for us ) We enjoyed our holiday here and wish the team prosperity and many more guests.

United StatesThe fact that we had to pay via cash or paypal, I didn't know that until it was time to pay. It wasn't a big deal, but just make sure you are prepared for that.
We loved staying here. The owner, Dominique, as well as Javed who works there were both wonderful. They made us feel at home and helped us with whatever we needed. The room was gorgeous, the bathroom perfect, the breakfast on the rooftop just sublime. I highly recommend staying here! You won't regret it.

United StatesWifi could be stronger inside the room but that is all! Thank you so much!!
The breakfast and VIEW from this riad was EXCELLENT. I did not expect to have a full view of the medina so this was a nice surprise. The breakfast was filling and they did not hold back and the amount of food. Room was very spacious but most importantly for me- it was STUNNING. The wall art and detail resembles that of the Moroccan culture. Soap and robes provided were a plus. A million thanks to the staff, especially Jawad!!! He made sure we knew where to eat, how to stay safe, and connected us with a guide to walk to our restaurant. The day time staff also went about and beyond as he walked us himself to the restaurant Lahlou! Thanks !

SpainBeautiful Riad, a small palace in the heart of Fez Bali. Jawaad and Mahmoud were excellent and very helpful hosts (Thank you!). Large, comfortable and clean rooms. Good breakfast. One of the highlights for us were the evening views over the old medina from the roof terrace.

United StatesThe Raid Batchisarai has been carefully restored in the traditional artful style so that all its intricate details sparkle. We found the executive suites spacious and tastefully decorated. The atrium provided an ideal setting for the amble breakfast. What made the Riad Batchisarai standout to me was the warm hospitality Dominique, Mahmoud and Jawad extended to us. Each was gracious and helpful but we had the most interaction with Jawad. He initially welcomed us to the riad and again at breakfast each morning of our three-day stay. In addition to having a friendly manner, Jawad was a perfect gentleman and having him again as one of our hosts is enough reason alone to return to Riad Batchisarai on our next trip to Fez.

GermanyThe room was a little bit dark and could use some more lighting.
The hotel and its rooms are absolutely beautiful and of high standard. It has a great patio and rooftop terrace with a nice view. The breakfast was very good. What we liked most was how extremely kind and helpful the owner Dominique and his team (like Mahmud) were. We always felt taken care of. The location is perfect since it is in the quiet part of the medina.

TurkeyI recently had the pleasure of staying at Riad Batchisarai during my visit to Morocco, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by the staff, particularly Jawad, whose attentiveness and professionalism truly stood out throughout my stay. Jawad went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my experience was nothing short of perfect. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions, arranging transportation, or simply ensuring that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, his dedication to customer service was truly commendable. The Riad itself is a hidden gem, boasting stunning architecture, cozy rooms, and a peaceful atmosphere that provided the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the bustling streets of Fes. The attention to detail in every corner of the Riad is evident, from the beautifully decorated rooms to the delicious breakfast served in the courtyard. Overall, my experience at Riad Batchisarai was nothing short of exceptional, thanks in large part to the outstanding service provided by Jawad and the rest of the staff. I cannot recommend this Riad highly enough to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay in Morocco. Thank you, Jawad, and the entire team at Riad Batchisarai, for making my stay truly memorable. I look forward to returning in the future!

United KingdomNeed to provide a key for the front door in case no one is available when guests come back.
Bit of confusion on where to park our car as cars aren't allowed in the Medina. Also a small misunderstanding when we were locked out of the front door and no one was there to let us in or answering the phones. Very large spacious Riad and the courtyard area was exceptional with the decorations. They also organised an amazing local guide to show us around Fez.

New ZealandThe interior of the Riad is absolutely beautiful. The staff were awesome. And the location is close enough to the outer wall that it's simple to get out and about. But being in the Medina it was isolated enough from the real hustle and bustle of the shopping area.
