We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesOverall, it was an excellent experience for my first stop in Morocco. The communication from the time of booking by the manager, Abdel, to his willingness to go above and beyond to make your stay at Riad Bayti a memorable one, was greatly appreciated. The property itself is in an excellent location with plenty of side streets to wonder and shop on your way to the main square and souks or market. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, too. The property itself is very majestic, and I'm very glad I found this riad on Booking.com. The breakfast was a mix of sweet and savory cakes and pastries, as well as coffee, juice, yogurt, and fruit--more than enough to keep you fueled for a day of exploring Marrakech.

Abdel will make your stay pleasant; he can help with booking taxis and excursions and local customs, such as how to barter to get the best price when shopping. The hotel location is perfect as it is in the heart of Marrakesh, with some really good places to eat and drink nearby.

A small traditional Riad, right in the Spice and Jewish section of the Medina. Loved the decor and location.

United KingdomSadly recent earthquake meant the plunge pool was under repair. Our downstairs suite was not ideal as it was right next to the dining area and a bit dark and dingy.
Abdel was very friendly accessible and helpful - really he couldn’t have been nicer. Property is nicely situated just next to the spice market. Roof terrace was really lovely with beds to chill on.

Wonderfully traditional Riad. Very centrally situated and perfect for seeing Marrakesh but very peaceful allowing an escape from the busy city when needed. Abdel was a fantastic host sorting out all taxis and a trip to ride camels.

United StatesIt was difficult to find upon arrival. I should have booked the airport shuttle service with Abdel, but I had already gotten the service on booking, which was not great.
It is located centrally inside the Medina. The staff were professional and speedy. The manager is very responsive, usually within minutes. The decor feels very lush and authentic to Morocco.

We had an amazing stay at Riad Bayti! Abdel and the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, even getting up to make us breakfast before a very early start! The Riad is gorgeous and our room was beautiful and clean - a little oasis in the craziness of the Medina and close to all of the Souks/key attractions. Absolutely do not let the earthquake put you off your stay, we had the best time!!

United KingdomWe stayed in Riad Bayti for two nights and found it to be the perfect place to relax and unwind after spending a busy day in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Abdel arranged an airport transfer for us for a reasonable price and on arrival we were greeted with fresh mint tea and Moroccan sweet treats which we found to be most welcome after a tiring day travelling. The Riad is perfectly located right by the spice souks and is within very easy walking distance of lots of bars/restaurants and main attractions. Despite its very central location, as soon as you step through the doors the noise of the streets completely fades away and it is a perfect oasis of calm. It felt incredibly peaceful here throughout our stay and we particularly enjoyed the roof terrace. Breakfast was fantastic, traditional Moroccan pancakes, fresh fruit, juice and coffee with slight variations each morning to keep it interesting. The riad does serve food in the evenings but we didn’t take advantage of this, Abdel was very helpful in recommending local restaurants in the area. The room was clean and beautifully decorated with aircon that was effective in keeping it cool despite the 38 degree heat outside. We would definitely recommend Riad Bayti and would stay there again on a second visit to Marrakech.

NetherlandsBeautiful riad located in the medina: everything you need is within walking distance. We went there three weeks after the earthquake and everything was safe. Although some buildings around the riad are damaged, we didn't experience any problems in the riad itself. The hosts are amazingly friendly and do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They helped us make reservations for a hammam and even arranged a discount. The swimming pool is excellent for cooling off after a long day of walking through hot Marrakech. We would definitely recommend this riad!

DenmarkWhat I thought it was quite peculiar is how the toilet was built in the room: it's separated from the room only by a wall, leaving the toilet ceiling-less. This leads to a couple of problems: sounds and smells are shared with the room, which is not ideal...
Adbel has been great from the start, even before we visited. He helped us keeping our luggage while we were on a desert tour, and made sure we had the best possible experience. At the time we visited, they had just reopened after some post-earthquake renovations, and the area itself looked quite hit unfortunately. The spice market just around the corner was running strong though, and its colours and smells made it quite picturesque to come and go. The room was spacious and clean, the inner yard is very peaceful and taken care of. Also very nice breakfast.

Lovely locally run Riad with beautiful roof terrace. It’s a shame you can’t have breakfast or dinner on the roof so you are always down in the courtyard which means the pool does not feel very suitable for swimming as there are tables and people eating around you. The shower in my bathroom was just a hand held douchette and not much pressure. My room was quite noisy from the street and quite dark. Staff were very helpful although didn’t speak much french or English but that didn’t bother me. The location is excellent as you are 1 minutes from the places des épices with all its charm and delicious restaurant and only 10 mins from the main square. Wifi was excellent on all floors. Thank you very much!

A beautiful traditional Riad located in the heart of Marrakesh. Riad Bayti maintains a peaceful and serene atmosphere allowing for a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the many markets of Marrakesh. For a first time visit to Morocco, I was extremely nervous but was put at ease almost immediately by the lovely staff who work there. Abdel the Riad manager is very helpful, friendly and reassuring. He makes sure to supply you with important tips and knowledge, and he can also support to book you onto well organised excursions as well as book taxis for transport. My family chose to visit Ourika Valley/Atlas Mountains, Abdel himself came on the excursion with us to support us! The other Riad staff (unfortunately cannot remember all of their names) including cleaners, hosts, cooks, allocated taxi drivers were equally as kind. Very respectful towards our privacy and although did not speak much English - they always served us with a smile! The kind older man who works in the evening made us laugh with his jokes :) In terms of what is offered, the breakfast is prepared fresh every day with traditional Moroccan items such as bread, jams, yoghurts, pudding and mint tea. There is a pool in the sitting area which you may use without worry and a terrace on the roof equipped with lounge beds, chairs and fresh towels. Bedrooms are exceptionally tidy and observed to be cleaned everyday. For people reading this review who are new to Marrakesh or anxious about visiting, this Riad will look after you well. My family will definitely be visiting this Riad again for many more times to come. Thankyou so much to all staff for hosting such an enjoyable and memorable holiday for us!

South AfricaThe shower holder was weird but we managed. The bees around breakfast No protein (cheese or eggs) but lots of yummy bread and desserts during breakfast. No mini ref in the room. The people passing by on the streets can get loud but that's not the hotels fault.
Love the size of the room and how the guesthouse feels like home. We love dipping in the pool and hanging out the beautiful terrace. The aircon is amazing and much needed after a hot day. So close to the mini square by El badi (5 mins) Bahia is also Like 2.mins Walk. I bought spices and argan oil for gifts like the first shop outside the riad. The guy doesn't speak English and very nice I got a good price for everything. What one must remember that this place is 3 stars and they give so much more than what should be offered. Abdel is also an amazing manager.

The property is well located in the middle of the spice market near a busy square, with a few local restaurants and cafes dotted about. Just a few minutes from the Bahia Palace. The Riad is a traditional building that is absolutely beautiful. The bedrooms are stunning and each one is unique. Abdel the manager is great! he is so helpful and answered our many questions. Nothing is too much trouble for him - from arranging our taxis to and from the airport, to booking trips for us to the Atlas Mountains and the Agafay Desert. There is so much to do in Marrakech. The staff at the Riad are the best, so friendly and courteous and they are always busy from preparing and serving food (which is always lovely) to cleaning and maintaining the property. They never stop - and everything is done with a smile. We absolutely loved our stay here, and we loved Marrakech. We can’t wait to come back.
