Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceA very minor thing, it would be nice to have a small reading light in addition to the beautiful lamps...I didn't dare turn the lamp on in the night as it would have woken my husband, they are quite bright.
An absolutely beautiful and luxurious riad, we felt like royalty. Very well located. The staff and owner were wonderful, thank you everyone, wish we'd stayed longer.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing!
Absolutely faultless! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The Riad is spotless and so beautifully decorated. The rooms are wonderful and beds are so comfy. We had breakfasts and two evening meals at the Riad, and the food was stunning. Above all, the staff are exceptional. They cannot do enough for you. The service is attentive and wonderful and nothing was too much to ask. I booked activities, taxis and spa through the Riad and communication was perfect and activities were all excellent. We travelled as a group, and many of the girls said it was ‘the best place they had ever stayed in’!

NetherlandsBeautiful riad right in the heart of beautiful Marrakesh. Happy to share that the riad was still in perfect state after the earthquake. Pierre was a great help assisting in all requests we had and enjoyed the beautiful breakfast in the quite green roof terrace.

GermanyI can‘t really find any negatives, it was great and I would definitely come back.
I landed on the night of the Marrakech earthquake (08.09.2023) late, about 40 min after the earthquake hit. Pierre and his staff took great care of me. Even though the situation was chaotic, Pierre‘s driver waited for 2-3 hours on me at the airport and brought me to the Riad safely. I was in contact with Pierre through WhatsApp even before I arrived and he is super responsive and trustworthy. We were in contact since I landed at the airport and I liked that he reassured me in this situation. The property is built so solidly that not even a glass broke during that night, so I felt very safe and just went to sleep, which turned out to be a good idea. The riad itself is beautiful and you can tell a lot of work was put into the details. A/C in the room, great wifi and freshly made breakfast on the rooftop terrace made it even better.i The location is strategically great, because you‘re in the Medina and in walking distance to the main square, but you can get out of the Medina really quickly too.

LithuaniaEverything was wonderful! We enjoyed absolutely every minute of our stay at Riad Dar Chacha. The rooms are very authentic and beautiful. The Riad team is amazing, they supported us with any question. Besides room service, they provide assistance with the guides about Marrakech and it’s surroundings (what to see, where to eat and more). Breakfast is delicious, once again thanks to the team! It really feels like at home. And special moment was a mint tea at the terrace. The best tea is Marrakech you could have! Honestly, highly recommend Riad Dar Chacha!

PolandEverything was perfect
The hotel exceeded our expectations from the moment we stepped into it It's a cute small riad located in the small street of medina. So calm and quiet, and beautifully decorated with mixture of traditional and modern interiors. The rooftop is a small oasis itself, full of greenery, perfect for cosy breakfasts and tea time at night. You have to try at least once Fatima's dinner - she cooks amazing dishes. She made us feel like at home with moroccan mamma <3 Attention to details in this place is incredible - from the smell to decorations and small gestures like bringing us Moroccan tea when we were relaxing on the rooftop. Pierre took care of us from the very beginning. He helped us with explaining how to get to the hotel and arranging the parking, but the most important for me: I had a very serious health emergency. The moment I told the crew and Pierre found out he took care of EVERYTHING including arranging the hospital. The whole team was worried about me like I was the part of the family. I left this place hugging them and I know that there is no way I will stay in a different place whenever I'm back to Marrakech.

GermanyIn theory it could be a great place but it just felt off: - during check in there was another couple who got very different treatment to us (offered tea, snacks etc). We had to ask them after 20min again, if we can finally check in - The owner who wrote us via the app was rather rude from the beginning. We had to change some dates and made the request via booking.com to cancel the fee as it would just be one night less. He was very rude from then onwards instead of just be like hey no i can't or so. He told me later on, if he can rent the room again, he will pay me back the fee. He never told me that he rented out the room, I had to tell him as I saw on booking.com that the one night was booked again. - I made the mistake of putting some cash in the drawer and forgot it. I realised the same day and wrote them. However, they claimed they didn't find anything and they always check drawers, which again rather strange. Overall, we just never felt really welcome there and compared to other places it is just not up to the standard. Edit: After leaving this review I got a call from the owner that was very aggressiv. To my knowledge, they are not allowed to use your private information to threaten me to sue me if I don't change the review.
Breakfast was very nice, but nothing special compared to other places. The rooftop is very cute and cozy. The staff in general is very nice and attentive.

AustraliaThe check in process took way too long. We sat in reception for 45-50 minutes. We were told it is a police “law” to fill in paperwork before we could enter our rooms. The detailed questions were absolutely unnecessary. This has NEVER happened before anywhere in Morocco or Europe.
This is a lovely Riad however very disappointed with the check in process.

United KingdomThere was nothing that we didn’t like about the Riad, but there are just some ideas and improvements that could have made our stay even better: Would have been nice to have an information leaflet/guide in the room like other hotels etc, to clarify general information about the stay and the property itself. It was difficult as the employees at the Riad who were around during the day and evening did not speak particularly good English and it was hard to communicate our needs however the owner Pierre was extremely helpful and was at the end of the phone when needed. A little touch of drinking water given to guests would have been nice too, due to the heat and that drinking water is not pleasant, we had to keep buying plastic bottles of water with no proper recycling.
Property is beautiful, the atmosphere reflects how calm and relaxing the Riad is. It is well looked after and the small little touches were much appreciated (candles, wax melts, aromas and music around the property) Had good facilities - full working air conditioning, everything needed was in the room or at our disposal. Bed was comfortable. Host was accommodating and went above and beyond for us. Breakfast times could be changed to help suit us and our plans, much appreciated! The rooms were kept clean every day without fail.
